  6. anyone?
  7. Anyone here have a stock exhaust system for an R32 GT-R? Also would anyone know if a R33 GTR stock exhaust system would fit? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  8. What type of job in the auto industry? Engineering? PM me details, I might be able to help.
  9. I have had similar problems - turned out it was the wiring to the battery was corroded. There are a multitude of connectors on the positive cable going to the battery. touch them to see if they are warm - if so probably a bad connection, disconnect and clean them out. good luck
  10. Here are some I spotted while in Europe earlier this year: Prague Italy Italy Italy - couldn't resist...
  11. Let me get this right: When you fade left ro right both rears never die down completely? When you fade the fronts do the speakers alternate from left to right? If so then swap the wiring on the amp from front to rear. and check fade again. If the rears now fade correctly (and the fronts don't) then its your amp. Otherwise its your wiring. I don't understand how it could be the speaker?
  12. rip the damaged plastic off the striker - its probably jamming up in the claw of the latch, causing the claw to bind, not close etc.
  13. Laptop is the way to go :laughing-smiley-014: carputer under 600 bucks now that is impressive, I still prefer a touchscreen though Interested to know how the GPS is working - I haven't bought that bit yet. Might get the one you have if you recommend it. here's my attempt http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=136894
  14. here's how I did it on an R33
  15. FM Radio??? - who listens to FM radio anymore, with gigs of mp3s.... You could add a radio card. RoadRunner (frontend) supports this. Alternativelly I have a FM radio in my mobile which I have hooked up into the amps. Reception isn't quite good though.
  16. check plug gaps what were the old plugs set to? if that doesn't work get some platinums. I've found iridiums don't work too well.
  17. Very Nice! Great job. I have the same screen setup in my 'line. Would lke to know more about how this plastic welding stuff works. I've secured mine in a complicated way from the inside of the console. Pics should be in a post titled "GTR carputer" or similar Regarding reliabilty - I've had mine since October '06 - no complaints so far
  18. How about this answer: The brake pedal gets used more in automatic cars - therefore larger pedal to prevent it wearing out? In manual cars most people gear down instead of braking hence less wear on the pedal, therefore smaller pedal. makes sense to me
  19. Near/under Bolte bridge
  20. Yep, I got the same problem. Been like that for a few months now. Haven't gotten round to fixing it. Not sure what long term effects it may cause - i've been assured there are none. The GTR has a vacuum booster on the clutch. To temporarily stop the hissing you could disconnect the vaccum line that goes into the clutch booster and plug it - however your clutch pedal will become 3 times harder to engage. To fix you need to replace vaccum booster.
  21. Sorry guys, I haven't had much time to work on this lately. My main concern was not enough genuine interest plus getting a final price as I am unsure how much customs is going to charge for this. If anyone has some advise on this... Also the unit I have has been performing very well but it does get hard to read the display in sunny weather. I'll have to inquire about a transreflective(?) version as I don't want to bring them over like this unless people aren't fussed.
  22. Hard to describe sound through text - but it did sound metallic. shouldn't cost anything to get it hoisted up and inspected...
  23. suspension bushes, maybe? I had something similar - sounds like a creaking or clunking sound. Happens more when it is a hot day. Got Centreline to put the whiteline bushes in - problem gone Good luck
  24. some pics as promised (only this one came out clearly though, damn phone camera) view from behind: used some computer card slot covers to allow the unit to sit correctly without falling into the cavity
  25. This is what I did http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...p;#entry2543799
