  1. Didnt touch the actuator no. The turbo stayed on the car. The only thing that came off was the front and dump pipe which is a single pipe and has been for 5 years. I wrapped it. Bolted it back up minus that one bolt and plugged the oxy sensor back in. Didnt unscrew it when U removed the pipe just unplugged and plugged back in.
  2. I didn't but I have been told that it would not be the issue. I will replace it and see if it does help. Thanks
  3. Ok so after taking the dump/front pipe off to heat wrap it the car is running low on boost. The car was tuned with low boost set at 14 psi and high boost was reading just under 18psi. Since wrapping the front/dump pipe the car now seems to only boost up to 12psi on low and just over 15psi on high. The Oxy sensor is plugged in, the heat sensor in the car was never removed. All bolts are done up except for one. The bottom bolt from the back of the turbo to dump pipe isnt tightened because I havent been able to since the heat wrap went on. I wrapped it all the way to the flange without even thinking of any clearance issue. I have been told that this one bolt of 6 won't be causing the issue. Anyone familiar with eboosts heard of this happening? Anyone had this happen after applying heat wrap? I have replaced some clamps along the induction and pressure side and made sure all are tight and that all pipes are fitted together tightly with plenty overlap under the clamps. I also have a mechanical guage which is also reading a little under 1 bar on low boost. Probably around 0.8-9. The other day it was spiking to 12psi on low and then settling to 10psi and since replacing a couple of clamps it seems to hold boost at 12. Welcoming all suggestions and hoping for an easy fix that I can do myself.
  4. Up for sale is an unfinished Aus model R31 project car. Want to sell as a whole car so please do not offer prices at this stage on individual parts. Here is what the car has: Complete RB20DET-R from a GTS-R half cut with loom wired in. GTS-R FMIC and all piping in good condition included but not installed. Ceramic coated GTS-R Exhaust Manifold. Polished heat shield. Ceramic coated rear turbo housing (standard GTS-R turbo). Painted cam covers and timing belt cover. Car was originally Auto converted to Manual using the GTS-R gearbox and pedal assembly etc. All R32 suspension components ready for S13 coilovers. Nolathane bushes everywhere. Craft Diffs in Parramatta built the diff with a VS SS centre rated up to 500+hp. S15 5 stud hubs. GTS-R front guards are on and ready for paint. GTS-R dash included but not installed. GT badges included but not installed. Detailed Under carraige. Please keep this neat and tidy. Message me any offers, looking for 6k for the whole car. Buy to do up and rego, race and sell in parts. No expense spared Here is what the car needs: Paint. Front and rear bumpers - easy to come by. S13 suspension. Radiator - may be able to supply a standard Aus model radiator. I will add or remove things as they are remembered. It's a shame this could not be finished and enjoyed as it was intended but time restraints have forced the sale. Hopefully it will go on to be enjoyed like it should have, Location: Sydneys Greater West near the Blue Mountains. Price: Looking at offers around the 6k mark.
  5. Nah Gibbon sorry to burst the bubble but these were parked at the same place same time.
  6. Silver 33GTST and black 33 GTST in Emu Heights.
  7. Spotted a silver R33 GTR yesterday morning in Emu Plains at about 7:45 a.m. and then a silver R34 GTT with 34 GTR rims in Penrith at about 4:30ish p.m.
  8. Gts-r ftw.. Gts-r wing on a 4 door looks shithouse imo. That Passage GT is that 6k just to buy then add all ur import, customs rego etc? U could buy a good one over here for that.
  9. I had mine bought from Yahoo Auctions. No rust and in pretty good condition. If you can afford an R31 House resto car you can afford a DR30 or maybe even an early 70's GTR. All a matter of budget and preferance in car.
  10. The HR31 came with a number of RB20's. RB20E single cam non turbo taxi, RB20ET single cam turbo. Then the RB20DE/T NICS which was the first of the twin cam engines with an experimental intake and poor wiring causing issues with age. RB20DE/T ECCS which was the later model further developed in the R32 and last but not least the RB20DET-Rfound in the rare GTS-R which had a sexy low mount exhaust manifold, T04E turbo and a FMIC. The pick of the bunch in the HR31 is the GTS-R for its rarity however after speaking to owners the off boost driving isnt very good. Being byast and owning an HR31 GTSX I'd love to park a GTS-R next to it. If your chasing power then the redtop RB20 isnt a fantastic starting point but certainly the GTS/GTSX RB20 is fine for a daily with most R32 upgrade parts compatible. I hear 4AGZE pistons can be used and slightly increase capacity but dont quote me. If I had my pick from your list I would LOVE an FJ powered S12 or DR30 RS turbo 2 door. An old school soarer is also on my dream shopping list. I think they came in 2L twin turbo and 3L single turbo.
  11. Black 33 S1 in North Richmond, had a GFB sticker on drivers 1/4 window. Driver looked a little paranoid that I was looking.

  16. Saw a beautiful old early 70's Skyline just after the bridge at North Richmond. It wasnt a GTR but damn it was a nice example.
  17. Its scary to realise how many people don't know basic road rules and think they have right of way.. This OP was doing the speed limit, he overtook a truck which should be doing less and in this case was as the OP was overtaking it, he isn't doing anything wrong (until he slows down) but the tard in the 33 was speeding and tailgating. If the knobhead 33 driver wasnt a tool and was doing 110 he would have passed the truck anyway. Sure it was wrong to slow down but these days there are that many wankers on the roads who do not know or care for the rules it ruins a simple drive to work/shops etc. The dumb shits bagging out the original poster need to look at themselves and just say out loud, "Im a shit driver with no road courtesy for others". Too much Need For Speed and Autobarn dreaming.
  18. Was just South of Cambelltown. Ill try to look for the specific details and repost Hume Hwy Southbound Wollondilly truck stop near Picton exit. Lots of Patrols between c/town and just south of the EPA station. Also targeted trailers/brakes etc.
  19. Apparently all the action started yesterday with the EPA station set up and lots of patrols.
