What car and engine is it? Is it an HR31 or R32 with an RB 20 and GTSR T04E or a 33 with a 25? 2.5 inch piping for the intercooler is usually enough for what most people want but 3 inch is pretty common also. If you have lag now adding a large FMIC and long 3" piping can add to it. FMIC can be had for about 250, depending on your car a kit maybe for 500ish.

1710kg is hardly near 2 tonne. Afik the 33 is approx 1370 so 340kg is a big difference but unless you have driven one you just see numbers. Aaaaaaaand your 33 gtst didnt come with Launch control. I love skylines and it disappoints me (on the skyline side) at how good the XR6T's are without any mods. I guess thats why Ford designed and built them like this, to challengebto Import market.

The figures I read must have been old then, explains some of the 30KW gain from a slightly smaller turbo between the BF and FG. Im trying to look after this car so wont be reaching this overtake mode for a while, im interested to know more about it. Also Launch control wont get a workout.

Did some people ignore my post? I dont know any mildly modded 33's making 220+rwkw at 11psi. The BF Mark II especially had a pretty good change in the suspension area. My HR is lighter than a 33 and with the GT3076r and supporting mods on 14psi will probably keep up with the standard XR6T. Your comparing a car more modded than the original posters to a completely standard car. I read the original 33 in this post had stock boost aswell as mods listed and the xr6 had intake and exhaust mods. With those details in mind in the original post the original question can be answered not the "yeah but if it had this done" question. Sorry to sound like an arse.

From personal experience, I have an HR31 GTSX with a 25 and a new FG MarkII XR6T. As far as the engines go its a no brainer. The 4L does it so much easier. The car I test drive I gave a bit to for one hit and the things just go. It was auto, mine is manual and the thing hasnt seen half throttle yet. Its not so much the power difference but the torque is awesome for a stock car on I think 5psi. The 31 with some mods on 14psi has about the same rwkw as the stock xr6t but is lighter. The ford doesnt feel like a 1710kg car tho. Older versions have less power (240 kw) but your comparing a mid teenage car with a 2.5L to a car less than 10years old with a 4L. If your looking to mod think of it this way. Your exhaust, FMIC, intake, boost, fuel pump and injectors with a tune in a 33 will net you anywhere between 220-270rwkw with a hi flow turbo pending parts tune and how much your engine can take and u want to push. The ford with those mods minus the expense of the turbo will net you between 290-320rwkw and even more torque again. I'd expect the XR6 to win

New Ferrari looks great. F40 is winning. New Vette looks like a fast and furious Ferrari 599 with R35 front guards. Zondas will always be cool. I dont fully unserstand the hybrid petrol + Electirc = exactly the two figures added. I could understand the engine/motor producing the least power helping and adding a bit, but it just makes sense that the motor with the most power would over run the one making less. Even in that, the motor producing less would still need to at least keep up with the one making the most or it would be holding it back right? Maybe I should click the link and read the article?

Once thats done make sure the fuel pressure is checked to make sure everything, pump and regulator, are performing as they should. My last pump just wasnt doing the job up top, a pressure guage was hooked up to confirm it.

R33 ECU's dont like more than stock boost. Some ECU's have allowed a couple more psi but some dont like even 1 more psi. A friend had a 32 and stupidly ran 15psi all day every day for 2 years on the stock ECU. All my friends that have owned 33's haven't liked any sort of adjustment. Its common in the 33 ECU. Get a SAFC or Power FC/some other aftermarket ECU

"LOCKON" in Windsor/Freemans Reach early this afternoon. Thats 2 RAAFy's or Fighter Pilot no. Plates in 3 weeks with GTR's. I chose the wrong career path.

He said a bit down the post he had it bored out/enlarged already. With the turbo off or at least the dump off, disconnect the actuator rod and make sure the wastegate opens fully anyways. Hard to tell from the pics but it almost looks overlapped by the housing near the turbine wheel side of the gate.

Is the wastegate flap opening all the way? Is anything obstructing the actuator bar when installed in the car? Could the wastegate flap be catching on the dump pipe when its fitted? The dump may be suited to a stock turbo but the larger flap may be fouling somewhere and not opening fully.

Is it pay on the day?

Nah need the hubs to but yours has seperated from the bottom of the strut so it's no good for what I need. Dont need brakes springs shocks or top hats. Ill keep looking thanks.

Hi guys, I need a pair of HR31 front struts. Just the bare struts and hubs for my coilover kit. No need for springs, top hats or shocks. Must be in good safe condition, not bent or cracked etc. Please PM me if you have any. Thanks Liam
