  1. Is that a ha ha wave or a look at me I'll take it wave? Price for you hasn't changed from PM's
  2. Cars gotta go this weekend. Engine and gearbox buyer had changed his mind so the whole thing is available. Almost half price of what was originally wanted.
  3. Great thank u very much. I dont know how to tell the difference and only have one pair. Here are the baffles inside the covers. Had to crop the photo a lot to get it down to size.
  4. Yep like Pete said, car has decided it doesnt want to race and sprung a coolant leak. Could be fixed in time but wont be able to get it booked in and tuned before the day. If your thinking about it, buy my place. It was awesome fun last year. Only 4 weeks to go.
  5. Great advice. Cant wait to start it and hear the knocking and grinding. Seemed like a good question to ask. If there is anything I can do before I fit to stop the interference Ill do it. I want to get the covers repainted but no point if they just wont fit.
  6. Thanks for the reply. Is it to do with the baffle inside? Can it be removed and work ok or is it just the inside of the covers that dont fit over the cams?
  7. Trying to get a decent quote to ship engine and gearbox for someone but if it falls through. Take it away for $3500, this weekend, shell, engine complete with manifolds and turbo, loom, timing belt just replaced on the weekend, gearbox, gtsr fmic, pair of projectors in good condition with hid kit which has never been used and r32 front suspension gear minus shocks and other 31 bits lying around. Car has no shocks or diff anymore. Massive price drop. Buy it. Put the sexy manifold on ur car and sell the rest to make some dosh back if u like.
  8. Bringing up an old thread. I have S2 25DET in an HR31 and was wondering if standard redtop 20 cam covers will fit ok and not interfere. Unsure if they are NICS or ECCS. I had an ECCS but bought these as spares. If they will fit no problems I guess I will need to dril a whole in the intake side cover to run the vct hose? Thanks.
  9. Rather than start a new thread I found this one. Different from the original question I have a pair of Redtop RB20DET cam covers I want to fit to a S2 RB25DET. Reason being, its in an HR31 and want the stock look back. Unsure if NICS or ECCS. I realise I will need to drill a hole to use the VCT I would just like to know if they will fit over the cams or if there will be interference somewhere. Thanks.
  10. Did he show u where it was lean and what it meant etc? I havent had much experience with other shops was more trying give a suggestion. I have heard of shops saying it needs this and that when it doesnt but they can book u in next day, see where this is going? If you went there, they showed you proven results, you liked them and you want to leave your car there then get a quote. If Hervey Norman are arseholes you buy from The Good Guys. Your decision and plenty of options to explore
  11. Excited for this. Car fixed up good and tuned on Wednesday . Coilovers are in and will have the camber adjustedand a wheel allignment and Ill service it tomorrow for good measure. What time do we need to be there Pete?
  12. I mean the hubs were bought brand new from nissan and bolted to the axles. The hubs are genuine new Nissan S15 Silvia parts....
  13. I dont even know where they are anymore. Shop around for a workshop. Go to a few, talk to the guys, see how you feel about leaving your car there and of course consider price. If you want to be able to say my car was tuned by advan or crd etc then just take it there. End of the day everyones experience is different. Its against forum rules to talk negatively about a workshop. Lots of good tuners out there. I personally take my car to forum member DVS JEZ, nice guy, good price, good tune and Im willing to travel.
  14. Still waiting for the right buyer
  15. Another option is to shop around for someone to make the pipework. I had quotes ranging from 450 to over a grand. Found someone to do it for 290 and the quality was better than most of the work I had seen from more expensive quotes.
  16. 90dB in Vic as stated above. EPA may check your emmissions aswell so make sure your cat is up to scratch. They usually hold the revs at the revs that they reckon the car makes peak power at and measure that. I had an RB20 and they held it at 4200rpm. I didnt argue. The car was nice and quiet at those revs and passed no problems.
  17. Spotted a Bayside Blue R34 GTR with white wheels cruising through North Richmond at about 11am today. Had personalised yellow and black plates that I dont remember lol. Also not a skyline but a mint black NSX Targa Top at 10am in Richmond. Was worth a mention while Im here.
  18. Or get the tuner to comp test and leak down test before he does anything else.
  19. Wasn't deliberately lit so I hope you could enjoy dinner and still have a car at the end.
  20. I have also seen result of cars losing torque on a dyno when they have a screamer pipe compared to their plumbed up split pipe. Car sounds like arse and you lose torque? Sounds like a shit mod to me. May aswell instal an RB20 while your at it.
  21. It happened so quick, they were driving, heard a pop, they pulled over and popped the bonnet and had a laugh then flames. Within 5 mins it was just a burnt out shell. I didnt have marsh mallows but my steak did taste a little oily.
  22. Not a skyline but watched an X5 completely burn to the ground besides Pauls Warehouse in Emu Plains tonight at about 7-7:30. Doesnt take long.
  23. Just had Jimmys cafe and Grill in Emu Plains. Deluxe eye fillet was pretty amazing. Meals looked a little small but struggled to finish it. Definitely worth a go.... We had the added bonus of watching some poor buggers BMW X5 burn to the ground next to Pauls Warehouse.
  24. Still selling. The diff is still for sale, the buyer has commodores, planned to use the center and sell the Nissan and Ford gear but changed his mind. PM any interest for details, this car has to go and hopefully to a good home.
  25. I dare say if this car has issues sell it on and buy one thats been done properly from the start or buy a stock one and do it yourself from the start. I too have been thinking of not registering my car anymore and having a track car but some things to keep in mind. How often do you drive the car? Do you enjoy just starting it up, going for a drive and taking it to club events? Will you take it to enough events to warrant having a track car? I personally love driving mine and drive it as often as I please, it isnt a daily so just when I feel. Im not so sure Id track it enough days to get out of my car as much as i do now.
