  1. Digging up old thread to avoid the did you search and this has been covered before replies. I have a S2 RB25DET with unknown km, was sold to me as a reco'd motor by the seller who seemed pretty legit but no receipts or anything, did show lots of photo's of parts inspections but yeah. So it's standard interally, bolt ons making 230ish rwkw. I am about to do a track day and have done some reserch on the Nulon oils. I used to use Motul Turbolight (approx 7 years ago for 2 years) but haven't seen it anywhere since I movd back to Sydney so I switched to Nulon street and track 10W 50 whichis what i have been using since. After looking at the Nulon site its suggesting for turbo cars and tack driving the probably more expensive "extreme" 10W 60. It's $70 per 5L bottle in places. Basically after this track day I have some mods happening so it's getting a service before and after the track day. Worth it? Any good? Should I just use the normal factory specified oil? Any suggestions? I don't know what the factory spec oil is.
  2. 32 SLOW. 32 GTR white, just now in Hazelbrook.
  3. A mate had a similar thing happen when he built a 25DET with forged pistons. He described the sound as "piston slap" i had never heard the term before and have not heard of it since. His noise was only at idle and would become noticably quieter as the car warmed to running temp.
  4. Awesome!
  5. Apparently its not a very safe car park at seven hills station. I work right near the station and refuse to park in it.
  6. White 34 GTR in Seven Hills at 5:30pm.
  7. I didnt miss them, I just didnt catch the number plates. The millenium jade 34 was in the second group with NUR 1 about 30 seconds behind MR33YO's. The driver may have seen me pull a funny face as I struggled to say phwoar.
  8. I havent checked that section in ages. Some beautifully kept cars. All looked extremely tidy and clean. Only plates I remember were MR33YO and NUR 1.
  9. An eyegasm of 33 and 34's mostly GTR's a couple of evo's and a yellow Stagea in Kurrajong 3:30pm Bells Line of Rd. Awesome to see . I was in a Santa Fe.
  10. VQ 35 NA in Mt Druitt and 350 GTT in Merrylands today. Both V35's.
  11. Good, get more experience then do mine lol.
  12. Gunmetal 32 GTR on Prospect Hwy at about 9:30-10am and just after that, a Silver 33 GTR on GWH, turned into Greystanes. Could have been a GTST with a GTR kit, didn't get a good look.
  13. Update, taken all of your advice in to consideration. I have the positive and negative cable, battery clamps, other u-clamps, kill switch and just ordered the Optima D34 . Battery isn't expected to be here until March 31st so not sure if it will all be done before the track day on April 23. Once this is done I can book the car in with Jez for the plenum install and retune. Happy times. Luke, I will PM you once the battery is here and work out a day to get this done! I do like how you did it in your 32. Where did you get the black cable protector from?
  14. To add to Terry's effort.
  15. Not in NSW but from a NSW member to make you all jealous. Genuine R34 GTR S-Tune on display at F1 .
  16. Silver 33 GTR in Blacktown this morning, had black wheels and twin cannons.
  17. I couldnt have the stock airbox with my low mount GT3076 IW setup, it kept wanting to stall when I backed off. How do people get around this? Here is a pic of how mine was setup. Reducer off the turbo, 3" pipe to the Z32 amf. Still has BOV and breather hose plumbed up. Would love to keep the airbox if I could just stop the stalling.
  18. I spotted a white 32 GTR yesterday pulling out of Hill End Rd Doonside. I tried to let him out but he thought I was waving and just waved back. I was in the Orange XR6T.
  19. Hi Ben, where in England are you from? Im from the North originally, didn't see too many skylines when I was last there. If your up North, try and have a chat to Tony/Andy Middlhurst at Middlehurst Nissan on Jackson St in St Helens. They have a nismo shop and although they specialise in R35's they know lots to do with Skylines. There is a shop in the South also that specialises in GTR's 32-34 but cannot for the life of me remember the name. This forum pretty much has 99.9% of the info you will need.
  20. I have used Ryco with the 20 and 25 with no issues over the last 8 years. Never did think to use a larger filter though. Are the z32 filters that much of an improvement?
  21. Is Kendall St the one at the top of High St or is that another one?
  22. I was thinking of at least pulling the rear seat out before I bring it. I know that's the easy bit. When I have all the gear together I will send you a PM and work out a time and date. I have got a fair bit on in March, going away for F1 weekend and also a weekend away for an engagement party, working a weekend in between etc but we will be able to work something out somewhere along the line. I'm all for neat work btw lol.
  23. Spotted yesterday early afternoon in Seven Hills, Maroon R32 GTR XRB26X. Nice clean looking car.
  24. No stereo really, a CD player and 2 front speaker, no amp lol. Eboost runs off it and standard accessories, that's about it. A mate works in spare parts and has priced up all the cables, battery clamps and isolator switch etc. I don't drive the car very often either. Maybe try to start it fortnightly for a bit and go for a short drive but that's about it, track days are pretty few and far between really. In the HR31, there are pits on either side of the boot, one to hold the space saver and the other side for tools and jack so if the battery fits, it may go in there. I don't intend on smashing it so should be safe enough there? It would restrict any movement should the bracket fail for whatever reason.
  25. This is for my HR31 Coupe. Basically whatever can do the job. I have the cash for the mods already, just not so much the battery bit. I plan on doing more track days this year so this D34 sounds ideal and cheaper than I expected for something that would do the job well, if it can be mounted sideways or upside down I'm pretty confident it shouldn't leak the right way up over a few bumps.
