Item: RB26DETT (minus turbo's and Manifolds) engine out of a R32 GTR. Condition: Needs a rebuild. It failed due to an oil pump failure. Comes with a machined crankshaft yet to be fitted since being machined. The engine is in pieces but all the parts are there except the manifolds and turbos however it will need new conrods and pistons but everything else looks good .   7. RTA issued serial numbers at time of registration, like a cars VIN number to match the plate. Like a motorist, your responsible for your plates. Some sort of third party insurance is a great idea. There is a good chance that if there is an accident brtween car and bike, some emergency service will be called, making it easier for the insurance companies to work out who is at fault. Tbh I don't see too many cyclists breaking the law around my way, just getting in the bloody way, but hopefully it can go towards funding long overdue road widenings including sectioned off, with a tiny kerb, cycle lanes. More the issue is really groups riding side by side at 40 in an 80 zone and such. Just dangerous for everyone.

  9. Stock 32 turbo, 33 turbo, 34 turbo, old VG30DET turbo, any of the mentioned hi flowed, any of the bolt on options advertised, many by hypergear and the like. Do u have any supporting mods (mostly ecu/tune and the like) for the raised boost/air flow? If not, ur next thread may be asking what engine you could swap in when the current one blows.
  10. No its not mine. I see it regularly though. I think the dude may work at the panel beaters at the lights. Mine has gold vs xx wheels and a front lip spoiler.

  15. Just looked at a mates 32 as he is having detonation issues. First check was the plugs and coilpacks. He has NGK PFR6G 11. I haven't ever used these plugs in either of my RB's and was wondering if they are suitable. The engine is a pretty stock one with exhaust, fmic and stock everything else with standard boost. I always thought the .8 gapped plugs were best and have used BKR6E in both my RB's being a redtop HR31 20 and S2 25, I am changing to BCPR7ES as I am runing a bit more boost. I have a pic of my new plugs yet to go in compared to the ones I pulled out of his 20 to compare. He plans to get some splitfires anyway but wanted to cancel out the plugs as an issue.
  16. More old threads relavent to my questions. I am ready to have my water pump replaced on a 25DET S2. I was 99% sure that 32 GTR pump was used when it was last done but after phoning around, some respectable places are saying it won't fit. The car is used for the odd short drive to keep going, some club events/cruises and some track days, probably 2-3 per year at ts stage. Would the 25det pump be the way to go? Its about $50 more expensive than the 32 GTR part I already had. I will be buying genuine Nissan parts. Thanks for any help.
  17. I think an oil cooler and temp guage would be an idea as I plan to do more track days. The coolant temp, on stock guage went up towards the end of the day when I went to Marulan a couple of years back but since then have upgraded the radiator to a PWR 50 something mm radiator and have some decent Nulon coolant. Hoping the higher speeds of SMP can help with temps also. Sorry to be a little off topic.

  20. I asked the question in another thread and it was answered regarding Nulon street and track 15W 50 vs Nulon extreme 10W 60. I usually use the 15W 50. I have a track day coming up and bought more of the street and track. What I don't understand is the difference between the two. In this instance I am obviously wanting to know which would be best for a 25DET, standard internals with bolt ons maing 230ish rwkw. I would like to know about it so I can make my own decision. I have read through here a bit but people tend to use abbreviations and I have no idea what they mean.
