prolly have to run 1.4, 1.5 bar for 250rwkw.. maybe a 2540 would be better. on a 25 anyway.. i think the 2530 is the perfect match for the rb20

you only have 288rwhp and you should be wheelspinning all through 2nd.. i had 240rwhp and had EXTREAM trouble in second.. mind you it was on 205 15s.. but still.. 500rwhp is WAY WAY too much.. a stock car would be quicker.. in some aspects.

thanks for that.. ill check it out now. seems to be a fair mount of ppl with rb20s in here.. so ill ask here instead of starting another thread, on the idle control thing at the back of the plenum, you adjust it by turning a screw right? which one exactly is it.. is it the flat blade one - the head of the screw is towards the drivers side? or is another one?

mine just overheated with the bonnet up idling.. hmm.. something cant be right here..

hey guys just got a problem with my rb20det, it runs ok but could be better but it has a really shitty idle, im guessing at the moment its coil packs, i was speaking to a mate of mine and he told me to go coil packs mounted on the firewall using some different coil packs, so i dont have to spend 1000bux on replacment ones which is more than i can afford atm. has anyone actually done the "remote mounted coil packs with the spark plug lead going from them to the sparkies" i wanna know how to do, i seem to have some heating problems in this queensland heat.. gets EXTREAMLY hot when looking for a car park or traveling slow in traffic.. so i thought this mite be destroying the coil packs in one way or another??? anyway. if any one could help me out that would be great. cheers. clint

if i were you.. when its nice and cold then turn the wick up sorry if what i said seemed rude n that.. i guess the rb25 compression would help. as long as your happy with it thats all that counts. and by me reading all this i know what to exepect when i go to purchase my turbo etc.. so thanks for posting results and letting us know how it goes etc.. does it wheelspin in 3rd, 4th? hehe..

until you melt the plastic wheel, i wouldnt run more than .9bar or so.. just to be safe.. make sure you have exhaust and fmic.

how does instant make 250rwkw and mr prez only 280rwhp,which would be round 200rwkw wouldnt it? not too much more. thats a pretty big differnce.. surly 500cc doesnt make that much differnce??? much internal/bolt on differnces? turbo spec differnce?

sorry but i thought you would of made more than 280rwhp, i realise this only at 6400 but still? is it a "safe" tune? iv seen a rb20det make 240rwhp with std turbo on 1bar... with fmic, boost contoller, remap, exhaust, fuel pump and regulator. sorry if this seems rude or anything im just curious to know, and i thought you would of made and was expecting 240 or so KW at the wheels

dunno if its the one your talking about but my mate had a hks t300 on his sr20.. went freaken hard!! 280rwkw or something like that on around 25psi. came on hard at like 3500-3700 or so at the latest.

took everything off bar the turbo and there doesnt seem to be any signs of anything. the turbo wheel spins freely and there is no metal shavings.. there is very little play in the turbo as well.. hmmm.. but i guess when its spinning as fast as it would when i come on boost if there was a tiny bit of play it would get worse????

hey guys, had an accident last week.. got cut off on highway and hit barrier at 110km/h.. got out of it ok.. i think my air flow meter may be screwed.. it idles fine just once you come on boost it starts missing pretty bad.. almost like its actually running on 5 cylnders.. sounds like a wrx.. well a sick one! anyway i got home and let it idle for a few seconds and thought i heard a wierd sound.. so i take off the pod.. and put my ear up to the air flow meter..and sure enough.. i hear a little sound.. sounds like a bell!!!! WTF! like a little bell just ting.. ting.. etc.. is my turbo on its way out.. the car still felt pretty strong before the accident and i have never noticed this sound b4? any one know anything? any help would be great. by the way this is a rb20det. cheers.

mase - thanks for you gt3 remap.. i picked up 800hp with the stage 4 turbo, racing cooler, and stage 3 weight loss helped my into the 9s wit simulation tyres. was thinking about racing modification but cant decide any body think i should do it?

monkeys dont have wiskers.. cats do.. its acualy a drift cat and apparently you put them on ya car if you have an accident. there is also the uras monkey. but most ppl have the drift CAT on their car.

use the vg exhaust housing dude and a rb25 comp cover.
