  1. i think i have a solution for ppl using rb20 and want this type of turbo. or power i should put it.. we wouldnt have to bore/machine out the turbine as much would we? by machining out the turbin as you have said you are just taking the exhaust housing and where the exhaust wheel is.. just open that up a heap.. you were saying that you car (rb25) would spool it up to quickly causing surge right? well on a rb20 this wouldnt be such a problem.... would it? or at like 6000, 7000 would it cause surging? when i go ahead with this turbo i think i will start off by not going straight to a 53mm bore on the exhaust side.. what did you start off with and do you have any recommendations for me? as to what size would be small enough to help comming on boost but also eliminating surge. hope you can help. also.. the rule is dont have more than 15psi by 4000rpm right??? with this turbo i mean. if this doesnt make any sence.. please say so and ill try to unjumble it.. but yea.. shouldnt be too hard.

  3. i thought about a 2530 and its too small.. i want something thats a bit laggy.. cause i hate commin on boost when i dont want to.. just driving slowly round the place. plus after being in a car with a huge turbo.. i have seen the light.. haha. but yea.. i got the fuel pump, clutch, regulator, exhaust, fmic im just going to go stock ecu but remap it i think the rb20 will be fine with 250rwkw on std internals just gotta make sure the tuning is fine! iv still got a bit of time before ill have the money to fully purchase/mod the rb25 or vg30 turbo for this.. so i still got time to decide what i want exactly.

  5. i wouldnt spend any more than 1200 bucks for an exhaust.. but its up to your personal prefrence. i dont think stainless is worth it. proabably go pod, exhaust, fmic, pump, maybe regulator, boost up (recommend ebc) then decide how much further you want to go. your standard tuning mite not be too good now either.

BOOSTD - i have a rb20 with fmic, exhaust, boost controller, fuel pump and regulator.. i take my rb25 turbo to a turbo place and say hi i want a a to4 v trim comp wheel in place of the std one.. and the turbo snout machined/bored/what ever ya wanna call it out to 53mm.. then i bolt this turbo on and make 250rwkw at round 1bar boost simple as that? bearing in mind ill have to get injectors and remap and a new air flow meter.
  7. so you dont have vac to both regulators? also.. my car appears to be different.. i think it may be set up wrong.. ooh oh! have to get that checked out.
  8. dude i got one of these. fuel goes in at the bottom and out of the the outlets on the side. vac on top and plug the other one up. on my rb20 it has the hose going from regulator to the side of the plenum and then another hose connected to the std regulator.. the std one has no vac.. this is how i bought the car.. seems to work fine.. but latley my car is chuggin and shit when idleing at anything belove 1000rpm.. lights fade, car nearly stalls, ONLY on idle.. i belive this is cause of the fuel regs pressure is to high.. so make sure you get it set up on a dyno or something.. my car blows a fair amount of flames/pops n stuff so i guess its too much fuel being unused.. but yea..there you go.. hope this helps.

  10. but how easy is it to get 300rwkw and still have something good to drive on the street... WITH OUT doin internals... i would imagine a rb26 would last a hell of a lot longer at these power levels.

  12. yes it is legal.. there are rb25 s13s all over the joint.. even putting a rb30 bottom end with rb25/26 head is possible if you lower the block enough. would be a moster!

  14. agree with roy there.. but a twin t25's should work.... and boost up.. that would cut costs down.. as the turbos are cheap but the manifolds mite even up the cost compared to a big single.. if u want a drag car.. go auto with trans brake and a stally.. use the nos to bring the turbo on.. and you WILL run VERY quick times.. no fun for the street tho.. just suggesting some thigns.
  15. fmic, exhaust, ecu, injectors, pump, fuel reg, possibly cams, possibly porting, ebc will be done.. turbo is only thing undecided..not limited to internal gate either.. bottom end will remain untouched.. as it is only a rb20.. if i wanted BIG numbers i think a rb26 would be slotted in.. or would it just be easier to slot in a rb26 in the first place? exhuast, boost up would have the rb26 pushing a silvia pretty hard.. but would it be worth the expence for just a silvia.. probably not
  16. i would of thought a 2540 would be too small for that lets make it boost is limited to 1.4bar..
  17. Meanwhile the other car had; 170 rwkw (when you were at 93). That's a 77 rwkw advantage 200 rwkw (when you were at 195). That's a 5 rwkw advantage 240 rwkw (when you were at 250). That's a 5 rwkw disadvantage 260 rwkw (when you were at 300). That's a 40 rwkw disadvantage what turbo would do that(170-200-240-260) if it is at all possible on a rb20?
  18. it doesnt matter how much the factory tuned it.. as soon as you mod it the std tuning is not so good!.. it would alter the tuning.
  19. none of my friends sit that high in their cars at all most sit at in their s13s with std diff, etc 3200.. so im guessing i have 4.3's? so would that give me a top speed of round 230-240kph? just that one of my friends has a 200sx.. max power is 327rwkw at 1.35 bar.. im not sure what turbo it is.. but its big! also that power is at 7400.. the car is damn laggy.. even appears so on the highway racing other cars (dont condone just using example) say i come up to him and drop to 3rd.. making me sit at eg.. 5000.. he mite be sitting a bit lower in 3rd. cause i have different ratio's. at 5000rpm with what ever turbo i choose to use i would be WAY better off than him i would think therefore probably beating him for a while.. but i still think he has the power to catch up and possible pass me.. is it true 1 second on the strip = 1 car length.. meaning he would have to run 12's to catch up to my 13 second car if i got a lead of 1 car length or he was at my rear wheel.. or so. lets say he has a 3040 starts boosting 4000.. max boost 5200-5500.. and i have a 3020 (example) thats starts boosting 3500 but has full boost by 4600-4800 both running 1.5 bar.. we both gun it... would he have enough power to beat me if his car has a max of 340rwkw at 7500 and mine is 290rwkw at 8000k sorry if its a jumbled up post just have a couple of questions regarding this...
