I found the topic.. but nothing in there about using an oven what temp and for how long do you think? just as a gauge.

Want to seperate the glass off the front of my R32 headlamps.. I pulled the clips off and tried to cut around the seal with a razor but the blade wont cut through without putting a mass amount of strength into it.. I have noticed people have managed to pull them off in the past, just keen to know if there is a trick to cutting it off

A Boy's Love For His Rb20
BANGN replied to Roy's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
what exactly happened to cause the fire? bit of a shame! so what brakes are you running now? Im in the process of putting 34/33R rotors on the front of my GTST, just waiting for the brackets now. -
slapped them on tonight without the brackets to see how they fit under the rims
-
just received these should make it stop like a bastard!

sorry if this sounds a bit low to you.. but raising money for someone to pay for something they did not take out insurance for its a bit bullshit. might be more to the story, I dont know but this is just how I read it. We all go through shit in our lives but I dont see why others should have to pay for it I dont mean to offend.

Thought I would share the progress of my 32 GTST I purchased March last year this is what it looked like on day 1 of ownership. Stock as a rock apart from a FMIC and then gave it a good cut and polish First week I had the car I went to town on it on ordering some new things to make it reliable all hose clamps for water, fluid and fuel hoses all water hoses all pwr steering fluid hoses all fuel hoses rocker cover seals 040 fuel pump removal of hicus crap putting a full brg set through the gearbox cleaned everything up found a cactus brg on the mainshaft in my gearbox which is a common cause for skyline rollover noise So once that was all done I purchased some 32R rims gave the GT badges a polish http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b182/20v...03052009002.jpg installed a 3" bellmouth dump pipe and 45V1 R33 Turbo then replaced a the front end bushes and installed some new K sport coilovers which lowered it somewhat engine bay is now all clean as well as the air con system at the front of the car next bit was to put in a new 3" mandrel bend system and then a nistune done by sean at allstar garage stripped out my boot then I got real, pissed off the 32R rims and went for some buddy clubs more to come!

why does it do that? I always thought it was the clear coat being eaten away by wheel cleaner

Brake Master Cyl Stopper
BANGN replied to BANGN's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
good to know thanks for clearing that up. I have heard of the firewalls cracking with heavy duty clutches too.. lol -
People have been raving on about "brake master cylinder stoppers" I have a R32, what exactly do they do and can I benefit from it?
-
If anyone finds this suicide note, please let my family know after seeing this thread I just had to top myself

Its the computer for the auto, usually placed in the drivers kick panel. Throw it over your shoulder, its not worth shit. this is what the engine computer looks like

Battery in my 32 GTST no longer holds charge so its time for a replacement I noticed with the battery it has its quite small and the terminal clamps dont look that flash. It has never been able to jump start a car with 300A leads either, It had a real hard time once trying to jump starting a friends Suzuki Alto 1.0L. Quite embarrassing really. seeing the factory batteries only have about 300 cranking amps, I was going to get a larger battery and some of these obviously the height and the width is quite important and I don't really want to spent 400 bucks on an optima either. Anyone have any suggestions on what battery I could use and does getting a battery with higher cranking amps pose an issue to burning any relays out? like 400cca?

its dick all difference to pay for 12 months instead of 6 months, just reduces the pain on the pocket at the time. I was just sure I only payed about 219 on my last 32, but thanks for clearing that syfon they must of weighed mine with a few japs smuggling over in the boot
-
Was keen to see how other peoples vehicle weights compare as I think I am being stooged on my rego, I have had 3 32's now and I don't ever remember paying this much for rego for it They think the Tare weight on my 32 GTST with no ABS is 1378kg, I took it down the wharf a little while ago and it said 1280 after a I removed 20KG of sound deadner and some extra insulation from the car. So rego for 6 months is $243.70

BANGN replied to SiR_RB's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
f*k sake, get the correct tool for the job!, (what GTRsean said) is it any wonder on skyline box's and diff's the drain plugs are rounded out because people use the end of their breaker bars. If you have the correct tool you will find they come undone with a bit of leverage
