Hey guys, Well I recently got taken out by a light pole and insurance is going to pay me out soon.
i would like to buy the car back from them but have really no idea what a wreck is worth to buyback from them.
Its a 1998 R33 40th Anniverssary GTST. in pretty much stock condition apart from the damage.
I am thinking I don't want to pay more than $2k for it but is that too high? should I offer them $1k?
The chassis is bent and the engine has been moved about 2cm on the mounts.
Thanks in advance for any advice on the matter or any help you can offer..
cheers,
HAHA, F%^K there will be drama'a, lol, there always is! Gunna need some fat rubber, that's for sure..
Hey cam, can Dr Drift do Rotary's? cos Eryne is interested too.
If you get a pod filter just don't get an oil one. if you put too much oil on it, it can dirty your AFM. just get a dry pod. Apexi, K&N take your pic...
Most importantly....KEEP IT STRAIGHT!!!! try launching at about 5000 as said and work it out from there.
Have you done any burnouts or drifting in it yet? How hard have you driven it? because if you haven't experienced it before it is surprising!
RELAX!!!!! don't let the excitment and pressure overwhelm you, just get out there and give it a go. You will get better with practice.
For your first meet i dont think striping the car etc will make a huge difference, just get used to launching and how it feels to be on the strip.
Tire pressures can vary depending on air and track temperature as well as suspension and wheel size. so play with it between runs.
I have only entered a few meets myself, but it is heaps of fun.
Saw this and thought.... WTD???? What the DUCK?!?!?!
When does the Quackathon start??
QWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
AACK....
A quick English lesson...lol.
You should be asking if someone can "Lend" you an ecu.
"could you borrow it to me " should be could you lend it to me.
I would say to you. You may borrow my ecu or I will lend it to you..
Sorry I don't have one for you, but you could buy my R33 ecu....
Good luck getting it sorted mate..
I bought a set of front DMAX guards for $550 delivered to my door. They fit fairly well with only minor sanding needed. A couple of small issues though,
The indicator hole did not quite fit the indicator so had to silicon them in instead of using the clips and the mounting screws under the bonnet could not be done up too tight without cracking the fibreglass. Apart from that I was happy with the fitment.
Oh also one guard had a small crack in the wheel arch which cost me $100 to get repaired.
I still can't get over how expensive custom plates are interstate....Here in the NT its about $140 once off payment, up to 7 characters.....
A mate of mine has PSI FED, black on White..
