I don't think it matters if you were driving or not. As it is the registered owner who is responsible for letting someone else drive their car, and the actions they take while doing so. If it is someone else driving your car and they are willing to accept the blame then you both need to send a letter explaining who was driving and that they will accept the penalty.. Any time I have been accused AFTER the fact they only ever gave me a warning..

Hi guys and Gals.... I'm coming down to Adelaide on the 14th Sept till the 20th. Just wondering if there are any cruises or anything on while I'm there and if anyone minds if I tag along with them as I won't have my car unfortunately.. Yeah, best to test drive both and form your own opinion for what you will use the car for.. I had a 04 Sonata ( I know, don't hang me..It was a family car) with tiptronic/selectronic (whatever they called it) and was ok in the fact you could hold in gear as long as you wanted but when you did change it still had that lag that auto's do. It really is one of those times you have to drive both and decide for yourself..

+1 +1 +1!!! and Do as much as you can, looks silly if you only do the qtr's. Also you might be able to do the top section of the front windscreen, not sure if that's still allowed or not??

Ok, they are very reliable cars from stock and if left that way nothing changes (apart from general ageing). However it is common that they are NOT stock. Thus it opens the door for errors and things to break easier (with more power). It depends how/what upgrades are done. GTR's cost more for everything, still reliable but if/when something does go, its gunna cost more. i rekon for a GTST $2-$3k after you pay insurance etc should be ok to cover any unforseen problems (if its much more than that I hope you got the car real cheap). Then you add the cost of any mods or personallisation you wish to add.. 1st thing I do is go and buy Dash & steering wheel covers, sun shield, gear knob and all those little bits..hehe. only a couple hundred all up but it still adds to the total. Don't forget about transfer of ownership, stamp duty, etc.

ok that's a good reason to limit the search!! lol. As for inspection interstate there are several options. NRMA or the equivalent do a pretty comprehensive inspection (members get a discount), just make sure the mechanic that does it knows about sports/imported cars. (only some NRMA reps are certified for special vehicles). Otherwise if you know of a good mechanic where the car is, or actually know someone there who you trust. The other option is to see if any of the nice people here can help you (but ur still taking the word of someone you don't know). Transport via train is VERY pricey. Via truck it's insured for damages in transport (clarify what exactly 1st)and should be no more than about $1300(that's if it is in Perth or something), Between Bris, Syd, Melb, Adel it should be heaps less..SHop around for transport as the prices vary a lot! I have now bought 3 cars interstate via carsales.com and been very happy with them all! The key is ALOT of research and searching for the car itself and then all the other stuff, Good comunication with the seller (get a scan of their license, full address etc) Discuss it with ur uncle and explain the difficulty your having, he may just be able to help more than you think, especially after he sees the effort YOU have put in first. expand your search to OZ wide, or import one.. If your willing to spend a bit to convert it you may as well look interstate and pay for transport. Just be sure to have it inspected and tested!

So what about when people turn a VW into a porsche or the likes?? Personally I don't think you should put GTR badges on a GTST. Be proud of what it is.. I'm not a purist, mod as much as you want, but the badge is a statment of its own, telling people what it is. Most people here would know without badges at all.. Would you tell people it was a GTR if it had the badging??

Mine does this too! Not sure about the ticking though but I get the hot air.. Seemed to start after a day at the drags, but not sure if that's just when I first noticed it.

I have stock rims from a 350z. The dot is on all 4 rims. It's on the outside clearly visible.

Hey. One of my rims has a spot of light blue paint....I thought this was just from some useless person somehow getting it there. But lately I have noticed pictures of others with the same colour dot. This got me thinking there may actually ba a reason for it. Does anyone know of any reason why someone would put a spot of paint on ur rim?????
