my mate bought a very tidy 180 sx there but that was before it changed hands.There used to be a guy called chai that worked there and he was a cool dude but now not sure.I called them up to see if they had any 2nd hand r33 stoko rims for sale and i got told that they do and wont sell them in pairs but instead a whole set.I told her that a sale was a sale and she got the shits .So i dont know i dont think a particular yard has nothing but all shit i think you will recognise a good car if u see one but a general statement about all imports never judge a car by its km"s

i use degreaser on mine all the time and it comes up schmiko just dony use a high pressure spray on the engine bay.light pressure and be direct at what ur cleaning i dont suggest just going crazy with it

mate where do i start,windows i would go to any good window place maybe windscreens obrien.I think your console could be done at a smash repair shop not sure but as for service mechanics ...if its a simple service i would do it myself but if you dont want to any place can do it i can tell you that i am sure there is a bad story about everyplace in bris what i would do is ring around and go with someone who wants your business and not just a place with a name.Depends on you are you a guy who wants to tell everyone that gavin woods changed your oil or do you just want the job done ..i still dont understand why anyone would take their r33 to a performance shop for a service.Most car enthusiast i know ,like their cars and get pleasure from doing their service themselves,thatwayif it ever breaks down or something aint right you know whats happening and are familiar with whats under the bonnet.I have used chapman and chapman for timing belt, I used charlies for new head and i used apc for dyno tune alll great

if the turbos took their reading from the compressor the boost guage would not read vacuume cos the butterfly in the plenm would prevent this.i think what you guys are saying is that restrictive i/c and piping causes the turbo to run at higher boost that what the manifold is getting its like blowing through a thin straw,your mouth is building more pressure than what is felt at the end of the straw.Therefore if u have less restrictive piping and i/c the turbo is not working harder to reach boost and maintain it.when you boost your car to 12 psi thats the reading u get at the manifold.

thanks guys .The car pinged when i picked it up and i thought the boost was set a little high.Now after checking out the link i realize that CHARLIES MOTORS have installed wrong plugs.Hence i am going to see him and carefully shove them up his aaarse thanks fellows.

hey mate i have got a safc on my r33.I know i am getting some extra power from it but no where near 60kw.Maybe 5-10 kw .The car hasnt been dyno tuned but i have mucked around with the settings and got some help from the people here.I would be trying to get a second hand fmic.I picked my safc up for 200 second hand so thats why i bought it.I dont think its worth spending 600 .A power fc is 1500 i know its a little more than twice the price but honestly worth waiting for.I still have to get power fc and fmic but for now just have water sprayers and safc and am doing ok fast car in winter but a lot slower in summer cos iof fmic.

i paid 15500 for a manual r33 gts-t m spec with exhaust and 18 inch wheels.It also has king springs and some jap brand suspension.car had 80k on the clock and is 1993 series 1.It is the car in the avtar.Went to heaps of car yards and they all wanted over 20.I told them i only wanted to spend 15 they laughed at me....So i then found this one in the trading post and went back and laughed at their stock overpriced and heavily armour alled crap.Having said this i did pick the car up cheap.But i would expect to pay 18-20 for a r33 WITH some mods.My mate picked up a custom nismo ble 1997 r33,full gtr kit full adjustable hks suspension,custom interior and hks twin exhaust.It is the best looking skyline i have seen he paid 24.hope it helps a bit

thanks for the reply guys.The plugs installed i did a search on yahoo and when i type in the code all it talks about is irridium plugs???.When i look at the electrode it has the normal pin type on the bottom but the spark collector has a built in rectangular plate which my old platinum plugs didnt??? any reason why ..thanks for the help so far.

I hate hearing the same question asked all the time,but no-one so far has been able to help me.I use to run ngk pfr5g-11 they are platinum plugs.I spent almost 3k on getting the top end rebuilt and when i got home i checked the plugs after a week or so to see whether they had been correctly gapped as i was getting heaps of pinging and didnt know if i was to blame the weather .Ifound the car had ngk plugs in it and the number on them is PFR8B-9 does anyone know if this is the irridium version or has the mechanic installed wrong plugs.

hey guys after reading this thread i went to the link and ordered some.Just letting you know that it took 3 days and all is sweet they arrived in a small envelope and.......didnt get ripped off!

ok spooks , this is who i have used and this is the result. chapman and chapman,used them for timing belt job went well and well priced ..My mate used them for a SERVICE and they stung him for that and they said he needed his power steering pump repaired cos it leaked.Charged him for a new pump and it stalled the car everytime it was on full lock.The car went basck 3 times before the problem it did not originally go in for was fixed. Charlies- i snapped my exhaust cam and they did all the work the only problem i had was that i never really knew when the car was going to be ready as they were getting cars ready for jamboree which obviously take priority.Replaced head sonic cleaned injectors and new platnum plugs and mobil 1 oil and the thing is running like a dream cost of job $2700 so the work i was happy with and price not too bad but took their time in getting it done.But i had mates who have had dodgy work done there. There is a place at tyngalpa called millenium motorsports they are meant to be good,guy owns it called carlos he is just starting out and is keen and affordable One thing i have learnt from my travels.......No matter who the mechanic is if you go in there and sound like you dont know what your talking about 9/10 mechanics will look for an opportunity to sting you...especially when you come in and ask him to change your air filter and then ask him to tell you if there are any problems he can see developing,cos to me that means "this guy wants to spend more money no matter what it is".Wasnt trying to offend ya mate , just trying to save ya $$$$ .If thats not an issue then any mechanic i have mentioned will be able to help you out.

I cant understand you guys ?You want to pay someone to replace your spark plugs and change your oil and filters???Its really not that hard nor does it need to be done by a performance shop.You will find that it costs cheeper in parts and you will learn something bout your cars if u guys have any questions about servicing your car message me i would be more than happy to answer them.

trading post....i hate car yards they are all full of shit no matter who they are.no car dealer is out to give you a good price.When i was looking bout 1 yr ago street machines laughed at me when i told them i wanted to spend 18 on an r33 and said they had nothing under 20.Looked in trader and picked this one i have now for 15500 !came with 18 " wheels and exhaust sunroof as well not a bad buy i thought.

mine moves about 1 cm.it will only become a problem if the shroud sorounding the fan starts to hit the fan....

not a bad idea.Tried this in my old vl turbo with extra injector for fuel.Run through a hobbs pressure switch set at 12psi.All good except cylinder 1 and 6 lean out.Worth a try though.
