  1. going back to stock will help. ben explained to me that the reason by the stock bovs r the best ones for the job is because they are one of the few bovs that actually stay open under light throttle which apparently help to minimise shuffling
  2. car speed has nothing to do with flywheel speed... its connected to the motor so whether ur doing 9000rpm in 1st gear doing 60km/h or 9000rpm @ 400km/h the flywheel is still going to be going the same speed so yes a flywheel will be fine with more power. as for clutches.. i have a jim berry full monty clutch with a 5000lb pressure plate on my gtr.. feels like stock enough for 800kw
  3. both ive talked to all the best gtr tuners in our lovely country for my big power app and they all say the same thing. Stock piping and stock bovs are the best way to go on a gtr... changing the piping will unfortunately increase turbo shuffling. if u want to minimise it, got back to stock bovs n stock piping. Ben from RacePace even laughed when i suggested that i wanted to run all hks piping from afms all the way to the plenum... stock is best
  4. stock bovs n piping r the best way to go... hope u havent changed them at all
  5. Ok so i just got back frmo chasers... end of next week now... anyone wanna place bets on the actual finishin date?? lol
  6. pressure does NOT = volume pressure is pressure volume is volume. and WRRR is wrong. yes 2 turbos pushin 12psi is pushin twice the VOLUME of air.
  7. u sure thats what was fitted on the Z tune??? coz they didnt run garrett turbos.... they ran IHI turbos
  8. plenum... and yes 2 turbos @ 12psi push twice the volume of air as 1 turbo pushin 12psi. u dont add extra psi just because of another turbo. u could have 5 turbos running 12psi... still gonna be 12psi but with a shit load of air The turbos still work just as hard as a single turbo because its still spinning @ whatever rpm it needs to make 12psi. pretty simple stuff really
  9. when twins start going larger they tend to surge on each other on partial throttle openings... didnt think the -5's would do it though...
  10. no didnt get it back... they reckon today.. i dont believe them.. i reckon next week but we'll see and ive only got the 1 car... but i live n work in the city.. dont need a daily just walk to work
  11. lots psi on -7s theyre small turbos
  12. +2 for -7's although.. really.. u should just put 2871r -10s on it lol
  13. get someone with experience with the 26 to do the work.. they'll know what needs to be done to fix its lack of ability to return oil to the sump. it wont be cheap.. anything on the gtr is expensive as for ur pm.. i havent got a picture of the headgasket... it was a Nismo unit taken from the JGTC cars that ran the RB26..
  14. lol mine too, been off rd since april... should be gettin it back either 2day or 2morrow hahahah left with 300awkw... comin back with hopefully nearly twice as much!
  15. the std pump will pump enough oil around ur motor with the right amount of pressure... ive decided to run a new std pump but with the trust extension and oil cooler setup which gives me an extra roughly 2-2.5lt extra of oil.. filled it up the other day and took just over 7lts of oil... the problem with the rb26 isnt oil not gettin around enough... its the oil doesnt return back to the sump fast enough... u can fix that by either puttin a reducer on the gallery that takes oil to the head, using a head gasket that has this already or modifying the returns on the actual head.. i did all 3 The car wont ever starve of oil... unless i roll it upside down lol Edit: forgot to mention... what year is the r32?? the later models (2/93>) already have a crank collar and use the same crank as the R33 GTR thats a massive bonus to help the std or n1 pumps from breaking @ high rpm
  16. i think u will find that it is possibly a pulse resonator thingy majig i seen em b4 as well, and they look like regs dunno... weird
  17. not enough thats for sure!
  18. Ive got some stuff left over from my engine build that must go All of it is off a late 93' R32 GTR 1. Stock cams $150 for both 2. Stock cam gears $ 50 for both 3. Stock springs tested @ 70lb's so theyre in pretty perfect nick $50 for complete set 4. GTR afm's $200 for both 5. Stock Dumps $ 50 for both thats all i can think of for now PM me or call 0402 294 989 Everything is in excellent condition
  19. stock box = a++++ look at the Mines R34 GTR... like 400kw+ with stock air box and a hi flowing panel filter
  20. need proof?? dude ive got a stock block... made 300awkw no problems which more power than what urs made... plus theres plenty more out there makin tons more as for proof on twins.. its physics.. so unless u can break the laws of physics which u cant, then stfu
  21. N1 block or not.. it will be fine with 300awkw mines not an n1 block and im chasing way more then that without any problems.. its all in the prep work And that deal with twins spoolin faster is true. its physics. 2 smaller masses is easier to spool than 1 larger mass. needs less energy to turn them. but like i said, that doesnt mean u cant get a single to go just as good as twins they both have pros n cons.
  22. theoretically... 2 twins will spool quicker than a large single of same power... thats just physics.. but that doesnt mean that big singles r ghey... if u want a single, go nuts man 300awkw only?? GT35R will do it sleeping
