  1. PM being sent.....
  2. Melly, were you defected in Canberra or NSW? If it was a NSW defect notice, it will have a tickbox down the bottom stating whether it requires a full 'AUVIS' inspection or just a defect clearance inspection. The full 'AUVIS' inspection is pretty much a blue slip.
  3. Well thats a bit harsh...
  4. I agree with you on those links Shell. Dickson / Canberra Connect kept providing me this link: http://www.rego.act.gov.au/registrations/r...cleidentity.htm
  5. I would have agreed Shell but after many countless hours arguing with Dickson / Canberra Connect they kept waving the following in my face: Which vehicles require a Vehicle Identity Inspection? An identity inspection will be required if your vehicle is used, less than or equal to 10 years old and/OR fits one of the following categories. 1. Is an interstate registered vehicle being registered in a different name in the ACT; 2. You do not have any documentation for the vehicle to establish its history; 3. Your vehicle does not have clear identifiers such as the vehicle identification number (VIN) or engine number; 4. Your vehicle has been declared a repairable write off
  6. Just had a rego inspection for my subie done at Kambah even though it came from Victoria. I do however had a vehicle ID check booked in at Dickson this Wednesday. So from what I can see, you can get rego inspection anywhere (provided its unmodified etc) and only need an ID check to be done at Dickson.
  7. CeJay, I cannot confirm with the R32, but my rim/tyre combo are engineered and passed through dickson. 235/40 front and 265/35 rear. (Std for R33 I was pretty sure are 205/55 or something like that) The diameter of the tyre doesn't matter as long as you don't modify the rolling diameter (much). Which is tested with the GPS by the engineer against your speedo.
  8. Very much so. Gearbox and exhaust taken and then torched. Obviously they don't realise that RS gearboxes are made of glass...
  9. Hi All, There is an R33 Skyline still sitting out just past Point Hut Crossing heading out to the turn off to Corin/Tidby and Tharwa. It is White with a black bonnet. The rear right tail light is either burnt or smashed, couldn't see enough detail as I drive past. The front didn't appear to have any damage, just the rear right of the car.
  10. Subaru recovered (partially) - Burnt out.
  11. Nah, it was Mum's car..
  12. I was in a Hyundai Lavita
  13. Spotted RB ONEVIA / PNK747 just before lunch today heading down Mugga Way from Yamba.
  14. MMmm, my rims aren't chrome apart from the lip/dish
  15. I hope not! I might have to check my garage at home now.....
  16. Haha, i did notice the possible bogan transporter... You would have been stuck at the lights with them getting out of the car..... The new beast is a '93 Subaru Liberty Heritage Auto.. Ruff on the outside but drives smooth as. I needed something that would allow me to park in Civic and manuka without worry of theft etc.. As in, I'd still be highly concerned about it being taken, but its better it than the 33.
  17. Spotted JD this morning in the V Spec... You drove past me but don't think you recognized the new daily driver.
  18. 3rd place, well done!!! I've always been keen to see how drifting goes on a track compared to the skidpan but can never commit myself to get out there. (I've seen plenty of vids of course, but never experienced it first hand)
  19. Hehe, hi Theo... You would have thought Mark would have learnt by now since its the third time, but no it didn't have an alarm (siren etc). It was immobilised though. He is still unsure how it was taken as the exhaust is @ 102db so at 1am in the morning, you would certainly here it start up. He is thinking that it was pushed down the street and either somehow started or tow truck.
  20. Its really crap, Mark has had this car stolen 3 times now.. The first time it made the newspapers as the ACT Govt tried to use the speed cameras as an excuse for finding stolen cars as it was snapped on parkes way doing 204km/h.. Interesting about that R33 though, I have seen a White R33 with a black bonnet driving around Canberra, so hopefully it wasn't abandoned...
  21. My mates Subaru Liberty RS (White) was stolen yesterday from his house. Sometime after 1am this morning from Gilmore. White RS Series 2, Silver 2002 17" WRX wheels, RS liberty club sticker in back window, twin tip exhaust, red childs car seat in the centre rear seat. Rediculously loud tappets. Any help would be much appreciated. Also just remembered that there is no number plate on the front of the car Can be contacted on 0410158755 Whilst Mark was looking for his car he found the below: 33 dumped out at Point Hut Crossing tonight as well.... white with black bonnet but not yet reported stolen
  22. Nice work to the both of you! Well done.. That versus match was really cool to watch.
  23. Spotted a White R33 with red number plates - Tharwa Dr and Monaro Hwy...
  24. Ahh of course, i just re-read that you were in a Golf... Hmm, was it white? i was perving on a nice white golf that went past (not your mum, the car )
  25. Would have been me in the white. Spotted the maroon one, couldn't catch it. Did not see you Trozzle? Were you behind us?
