  3. yep... i was sitting right next to you guys on a picnic blanket, until there was movement, then i ran down to the fence.... heck, i even came and asked you's about the barbecue tomoz to make sure i had sorted somewhere dry to be in the morning haha... spose i should have introduced maself... but thats just lame...
  4. heres a few shots from today... took 250 of them.. so theres many more to go through. and finally
  5. the panspeed rx7, as has been said before, is an awesome bit of gear.... everything about it is so neat and well presented. shame to hear about the big 34. hope its all good tomorrow.. definately looked the goods in the few laps that it did. and where was the greddy monster sale?? or is it on tomorrow?? also... the blue 180sx with the ce28's... is that S13deviat??? that thing is a really nice bit of gear.. loved it through 9, 10 and 11.. more composed than most of the cars... especially the gtr's.. floppy mongrels they are.. cheers Linton
  6. im doing it... will have the engine in mid july... its a simple deal.. just need the sr20 crossmember.. i struggled with taking the RB out... but at the end of the day, its going to be a pure track car.. possibly even a time attack competitor.. so logically... the sr20 is the better engine... 70kg lighter... sits much further back.. and has a tried and tested path... you know that if you add this, plus that.. it will equal X amount of power.. as opposed to spending x amount on an RB20 and getting untried results or a possibly weak engine. there is one or two on NS.com... a nice light blue one.. i think most of them come from japan with the sr20 in them. cheers Linton
  7. absolutly... that is all kinds of sex on wheels... and it makes 265 semi slicks quiver in fear... no way would you put te37's on it... they are a nice wheel... but the 32 shape is too skinny for such a wheel.. the ce28's look proper on it.. te37's need a bigger car like the 33 or 34.
  8. ZOMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! only one more sleep!!!!!
  9. theres a guy doing it in the cosmetic/styling section.. hes done a fair few bits with 3M stuff.. check him out.

  13. ben... im drawing up a v mount setup at the moment... dont want to make it until the engine is sitting in its rightful place. im going to use an MY00 WRX crossflow radiator/thermos/header tank setup... might be something for you to check out.. the wrx radiator is a little bit shorter than the skyline one.. same width though, or close enough. the early wrx doesnt have the cap on the radiator.. its a pure header tank setup.. btw... great to see the project is moving again.. mine has gone back to the drawing board.. starting all over again.
  14. ahhhh yanks... who needs em anyway... not good to hear bout the zed... was really looking forward to seeing it out there mixing it up. hmm... rain eh? maybe i shouldve got some vip tickets..
  15. haha... nah shes alright ... i forgot to add in that little story, that the lifting strap i was using i nicked from work... and it was in the "do not use" box with a danger tag on it... and the carport roof was under a little bit of stress with a 200kg RB swinging around... so... she was the smart one and stood well back.. she doesnt bat an eyelid to any of my stupid ideas... like taking a perfectly good, registered and driving r32 off the road for 2 years to completly ruin it and make it an undriveable cop. to get my engine off the stand and onto the back of my ute... i wedged a support in under a beam in our carport (35x70 non structual pine), threw a chain around a couple of the joists and and lifted the engine with a block and tackle... backed the ute under it and lowered it down onto the back.. it took all of 3 min and no dramas... the carport was stressing a little, but nothing major, it was all over in a short period.. i removed the stand attachment while it was on the ute... im sure you could do this in reverse.. bolt the stand attachment on to the engine on the ground... then lift it up and slot it straight into the engine stand.. take 2 secs.
  16. so fix the roll center... looking at the pics of the tomei wrx front and rear suspension, and watching the clips of it around the track... id say they have the roll centre sorted... wtf!! i dont keep up with current events... sooo... are you for real?? wouldnt their cars have been on the slow boat like 6 weeks ago??
  17. jack olsen is the master of making the most of small spaces... and doing it neatly.
  18. thats more than my partner did... she just stood back and told me when i was clear of the radiator support.... she didnt even help push the car back into the garage. good work.
  19. the japs..... they know!! super low is super good... anything more than 2" off the ground is just plain unacceptable. not sure how it will handle the goat track though.. but hey... in 3 days... we shall find out. wooooohooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! does anyone know how many tickets have been sold??? also... is there anything i should make sure i have recieved at the gate as a spectator??? last year the mrs and i got whisked away because we didnt recieve wrist bands when we entered... thanks to the SAU gate officials 2009.
  20. zomg i luvs workin de legs!!! pity i have 8ft bean poles for legs.. i think they get longer, not wider...
  21. ahhh i love these threads... mexican FTW!! man up... buy the wheels in your desired size... then make the car fit the wheels.. bash the guards... stretch the tyres... whatever you need to do... (except going crazy camber) btw... get some coilovers asap... srsly. not expensive for a second hand set.
  22. hey guys, does anybody know for sure if nissan 4 piston calipers aka r32, r33, s14, s15, 300zx use the same pads as the subaru 4 piston calipers.... trying to find some good pads for a mates wrx... and some places they are listed as the same pad, others they arent... cheers Linton
  23. i have about 63 projects that are in this stage... all awaiting either funding, space, or time... the first two are hard to come by... the last one i have in abundance because of the unavailability of the first two
