  1. well... if superlap did anything for motorsport in aus... its inspired everyone to get cracking on their cars... which can only make it bigger and bigger...
  2. flames are part and parcel of a high performance engine... on a race track... with a straight through exhaust.. there is no need for such things on the street... other than trying to make your car cool by purposely adding things to make your car look like the cars that make the same things as a by-product of them doing their job. and a "high performance" rb20 will happily pop flames... evidently yours is not quite high performance enough..
  3. thats puuuurtttyyy..... random question: isnt the 03- onwards STi dash by Defi???
  4. if you have to ask... you cant afford..
  5. you need a house to store all the shit that doesn't belong in the workshop.. Ladders, paints, camping stuff, seasonal stuff... That's all gotta go somewhere, so you need a house
  6. that's why me love da superlap... And why is there discussion about large buff men in short shorts chasing each other in here??? Aren't the clubs and bars where you's can chase tail... Man love is ok.. But time and place people.
  7. yerrr ive heard of this on the gtr's... the left always sits in a little bit more than the right. i have no idea why this is. my guess is it may be something to do with a crumple zone or something... so it sort of gives way and pushes to the side instead of coming through the a back seat.
  8. yerrr just drop another shake in there... or throw in some more fruit... get it up to 3000 at least.. there is nothing wrong with having high carbs... some people even debate that carbs are more important in gaining size than protein... as you will expel any excess protein... make sure you meet all your dietary needs with your diet.. aka... dont just eat the one thing over and over.. balance it out so your eating lots of greens and fibre is important... and if you need more calories, get them from a shake.. there is a good book... you may even find it on a website... about eating right for your blood type... carbs and proteins can affect people differently and can be the difference between feeling lethargic and bloated..or full of energy.... also eat right for your body type.
  9. same here... it was the most memorable car of the event... and it sure wasnt slow..
  10. cheaper option is the haltech racepak dash... last i checked was $1000 for basic or $1700 for logging version.. can run off most a/m ecu's by the CAN cable..... or something lke that... personally i think the Stack dash looks like snow thats been driven over several times.
  11. i like your thinking..... i didnt think of it like that, thanks a bunch.
  12. pro just says no tube frame chassis or tube frame extensions on the chassis.... doesnt say moving the engines around is allowed in japanese time attack.. i dont want a sports sedan category either... 15cm is hardly making it a sports sedan.. the original dash and everything will remain.. the firewall will just be sectioned back to the windscreen level.. if the original firewall must remain does that mean i cant section out bits to allow a pedal box to be mounted as far forward as possible??
  13. hey guys.... ive been up all night tossing and turning and thinking about next years superlap.. and my car.... why are there so many rules for Open... but Pro is invite only?? i want to move my engine back 15cm and section out the firewall... but this is not allowed in Open as the factory firewall must remain?? is that right?? but i cannot enter into Pro on my own accord as its invite only and spots are limited... is that right?? what can i do?? who can i talk to?? do i just do it and run some quick times at track days and hope for an invite??
  14. fair call terry... fair call indeed..
  15. hakosuka FTW... nothing else comes close.. except maybe this...
  16. youve gotta do the right workout for your body type... when you ask such a broad question.. you can consider the answers given, but dont use them as gospel as everyone is different.. some people work better with drop sets (start heavy and back off the weight, keeping the same rep range), some people work better going up in weight... some people can do 10 working sets... some people only need 2 working sets... etc. etc. if you're a hard gainer.. doing lots of sets and lots of reps is going to make you go backwards.. basic rule is if you cannot lift the same or more in a movement as you did last workout... your body has not had time to recuperate. (spell check?).. so go back to bed... chow down some food, repair yourself, leave that body part until its all good.. otherwise your just doing more damage.. unless your going for a bodybuilding style month on month off workout... where they work one body part per month.. but these guys repair themselves 5 times quicker than a normal human person.
  17. not much of the 32 left now by the look of it... hahaha.
  18. yerrr... yet a wrx box is 3 or 4g.... ppg s14 gearset is rated for 300kw... or is it 400kw... ahhhh i forget now. for 6800 you mayswell save up and extra 3g and buy a used holinger.. think i saw one for 10g not long ago
  19. the delts are a circular group of muscles... front, side and rear... to properly work them and get good defination for a physique comp... you need to attend to those areas... now lets put in a real world situation... ehhh... your helping your mate move... you bend down... pick up a box... carry it out to the truck... extend your arms and place it on the tray which is at chest height.... now youve just effectively used your front delts through that entire process... you havent had to press the box over your head... you havent had to push the box away from your chest... so why are front delt raises so bad?? we need strong delts to help us do normal things in life... like lift a coffee cup... pick things up.. etc etc..
  20. usually do... hahaha BOOM BOOM!!! j/k
  21. hpt simon...... what a fantastic place... very well setup... good work.
  22. bout $80 from hong kong land.
  23. well ive owned a 33 gtst and now a 32 gtst... and for me.. the 33 was the better "car". i used it on the weekends... and it was a nicer place to be and the nicer car to drive than the 32.. everything was much cleaner and tighter.. and i felt less embarassed driving it places.. it was epic clean, sounded great and looked great and i didnt have to worry about it, reliablity wise.. all the buttons worked.. all the lights lit up.. it was great. r34 gtt's look rubbish... hate everything about them... love the 34 gtr's though. i have a 32 now to make a track car.. but if i was going to have a weekend car again i would be going the 33 route.. gtr or gtst.
  24. the orange indicators on the 32 was the only way to tell the two apart.. both looked great on the track.. and sounded great.. although i prefered the barky note of the 34 and the extremely lumpy idle.
  25. here some pics of russ sr
