  1. its just because australia is such a large country... with a small and young population.. it takes hours and hours to get anywhere from anywhere else.. and as is the australian way... half of us just CBF'd its a viscious cycle, and the same cycle that everyone and everything is in.... without public support, events wont get big attractions... but without big attractions, events wont get public support...
  2. thats right... by inserting pineapples... your actually making it worse.. they can be anywhere from 10mm to 15mm thick.. for a street driven car.. the only real option is not lowering your car excessively.. but if its a street driven car, you'd probs be hard pressed to be in a situation where your pushing it hard enough for the negative effects to show.. its really only on a racetrack where your really going to notice it... its one of those comprimises you have to make... im of the opinion that if you have a performance car... performance comes first.. streetabilty comes second.

    Welders

its my first.. so i figured id get a decent quality machine with fewer knobs and learn the basics... no point having 10 different settings for 10 different things if have no idea what they do or how to get them right to lay a basic weld.. id be constantly chasing my tail

isl33p... i just checking your cigweld transtig on another forum.. didnt realise you were selling one.. and ive just bought the exact same thing... did you have any troubles with it?? simple to use etc?? did most things?? havent had much TIG experience before so im looking forward to learning.
  5. wow.... epic digging skills there Terry.. back to 2007! i worked with a few guys who would only buy snap on stuff... one guy spent over $5000 (aus) on a really nice tool box.. no tools, just box.. admittedly i would love that box.. but could think of alot better things to do with $5000.. ive nearly decked out my garage with equipment for that much i have had a kincrome chest for nearly 8 years and it hasnt let me down.. it was a special edition box and is slightly different to the normal blue and red ones... but for 6 years that chest was used professionaly every day.. now its just at home.. basically its 1mm sheet metal.. bent up.. spot welded and glued together. the ball bearing slides are just pop riveted on.. there is nothing super fancy about the snap on boxes other than the unique drawer retaining system that the drawers will only open when you press the lever under the handle... i actually find the snap on slides to feel heavy, and the drawers are heavy and cumbersome. but most reputable brands will have some sort of brake or catch so that the drawers wont slide out unless pulled.
  6. yerrr... i do that stuff during the summer months when its nice to be outside.. and capoeira aswell.. so lots and lots of lunges and jumps... lots more plyometrics and lots less weights.
  7. wow that really is cheap isnt it.. top stuff.
  8. maybe you could post up mug shots of the crew runners so new members be able to point them out?? just a idea.
  9. should look like this brah... if you need a reo, i have this one and dont need it.. make me an offer and add $15 for postage.
  10. yeh right on phunk.. bring back the SWRT cars from the early 2000-2006.. they are hwat...
  11. i know that R32 gtst seats weigh 20kg each with rails.
  12. thanks guys... normal back squat is feet shoulder width apart... toes slightly out and pointing in the same direction of the knee... the bar is not on my traps, slightly lower on my rear delts and i hold it with a wide grip... if i have it higher (aka along the line of my shoulders) the bar connects with the bone at the top of my spine and its really uncomfortable for the front squats, i prefer the cross handed stance (the bent arm one gtst is referring to, i find it is too easy for the weight to draw forward) again, feet shoulder width apart, toes pointing in the same direction as knees. felt uncomfortable on my wrists as they didnt match the straight bar, so next leg workout i will load up the EZ bar and see how that goes... my usual leg work out looks like this: Bodyweight squats 2x20 BB squats 4x6-8 (drop sets) BB calf raise 4x25 Deadlift 2x6-8 Romainian deadlift 2x6-8 (i superset these with the deadlifts) so i replaced the body weight squats with lunges on a step and the deadlift with front squats... i can definatly feel it in my upper/inner thigh area this morning.. so ill keep going with it.
  13. well... thats just the thing... ive being doing regular bb squats for years and they arent doing a dang thing for my quads compared to what i feel in my hammys and glutes... i can feel it in my quads... but not as much as the hammys... they are burning.. the quads are not. delljit... inner thigh... in the groin area.. near the knee is ok from cycling. i just want a bit more width up the top.
  14. skinny lad yes... but i also posted a few posts ago, that im happy with my hammys, they are established... my legs from the back are thick and wide (within spec to the rest of my body) i want to hit the insides of my quads mainly as i feel its lagging.. if i can bring that up to speed.. i will feel that i will have a reasonably good shaped upper leg... not huge... just a good shape.. so im asking here to create discussion about what others do and different squat variations... i dont want to "isolate" one part of the quad... i just want to hit the insides a bit more. because of cycling.. the outer quad is also reasonable... but its unnoticable because of the inner part.
  15. 45 degree legpress is what got my hammys here in the first place.. haha.. that and hack squat machine.. but no machines anymore by freeweight only... i mean... freeweight only... dont have a gym full of equipment... just my power rack and barbell etc at home.. no leg press as far as the eye can see. i use a manta ray for back squats.. it works great as im only a skinny lad.. but it wont work on the front (well duh!) and i dont like to use a towel or something as i dont want it to slip on the barbell as im nearing the end of the set. i might try some sumo squats with the bar and see how that goes.. has anyone done deep lunges on a step or something?? worked the quads better?? i still want a compound move, but i just want more focus on the quad area..
  16. i dont like the 452's.. i had them on my liberty and they were noisy as mofo's... and i didnt like the tread pattern or the sidewall design. but thats asthetics.. there is nothing wrong with RT215s or the newer RT615s for the price.. bout $250 each on ebay for a set of 16's.. excellent in the wet and dry and they are good wearing for a street legal semi slick. id take the toyos for sure though.
  17. yeh i definatly get that alot.. theres something wrong with me because i dont drink... and theres something wrong me with me because i prefer to breath clean smoke free air... wierd wierd crazy people eh!
  18. im not a drinker.. and i personally dont understand why people drink so much.. and when you throw smoking into the mix.. it just baffles me.. and these people look at guys like us weird because we take supplements.. otherwise known to them as "steroids"
  19. without going into it too much... basically... when you consume alcohol.. your body goes into code red.. it wants it out... so it shuts down as much as possible to get to work on getting the alcohol out of your system... this includes shutting down your digestive system.. so everything youve eaten gets put on hold, and not digested properly.. it also means you are incredibly hydrated, but not with water, so you are actually dehydrated.. so your body attempts to store as much water as possible because it doesnt know when it will get water again, it stores it around the belly area..
  20. i dont agree with wearing a belt, only because i like to apply things from the gym into real world applications.. so id prefer to build up lower back strength as you dont wear a belt when your not in the gym... therefore.. your pure strength routine maybe working your major muscles.. your supporting muscles may be lacking.. and your only as strong as your weakest muscle. i agree that alot of people are vein.. they want to look different.. they want to be big like that guy.. or be ripped like that guy.. or have arms like that guy... they will never be happy.. and they may be a good thing.. they will strive to keep trying and that can only be a good thing... until the motivation is lost because.. i think its better to accept your body shape.. and do the best with what youve got.. dont get depressed, because you will have something that they dont. its always been an age old battle between the body builders and the strong guys.. how do you judge whos better??? do you judge someone by the intensity of the workout.. or by the weight they lift?? or by the size they are?? do you mock the little guys?? even if they are lifting the same ratio of weight to body weight as you are?? be honest.. id like to ask a serious question.. im happy with the development of my hammys... im happy with the thickness and width of my hammys... but my quads are lacking.. especially in the width part.. and mainly the inner part... so ive been thinking of doing front squats, but the weight that i can squat.. my chest and arms cannot hold.. it sits on my collarbone and feels uncomfortable, but with the weight that i can hold, id have to do a gazillion reps to feel that illustrious burn we all strive to achieve.. thoughts?? any other leg moves you guys have found that use your quads more than the hammys.. pure freeweight workout, no machines.
  21. the problem with the excel racing series and the excel rally series... is that the CAMS approved cage costs more than the car. to get started in the series.. and have all the safety aspects covered.. will cost you the price of a neat s14/r34.
  22. some veggies = some fibre yes.. but you'd have to eat alot most fibre is found in cereals, wheats, fruit, nuts, and wholemeal foods..
  23. bob jane all rounder... what?? he said suggest a tyre!
  24. dont leave... lets just agree to disagree on this topic... and carry on with normal discussion. everyones different and thats why the world is so interesting..
  25. your taking the piss arent you?? seriously?? where is the fruit??? the fibre??? the pastas, the rice, the breads?? you seriously expect someone to eat only that much and feel full and go on doing normal day to day functions?? with no headspins... no cravings... and have some sort of energy to make it through the day??? your diet may be fine as a cutting diet before a comp but no way would i limit myself to just eat what youve suggested... his blood sugar levels would be all over the shop.. and here you are doing the same as you bagged everyone else for... what if the guy is lactose intolerant?? cant drink that much milk... oh, but gtst is the guru and goes against everyone else, so he must be right.. ill do what he says. i have already given my advice to get bigger and stronger... i have had great gains in strength and have remained injury free.. im not strong, and im not huge, im not a body builder, nor do i wish to compete... i train to improve my quality of life... i can throw my bikes around better, i have more endurance... i can run faster for longer, i can pick a gearbox up now.. etc.. i dont care how much i can bench.. its all relevant to your size. rattling off weight numbers is like dyno numbers... and noone really cares about dyno numbers. dont bring up history... i did that but you said not to... remember.. bruce lee proved strength does not require size... but noo... you mocked that because your ways are so much better... then you knocked isolation moves because they are stupid... but you are not a bodybuilder.. so what is your training program supposed to give the recipient?? just overall bigger mass?? bigger and better muscularity?? better vascularity?? so what are your claims to fame??
