  1. Taking some nice photos tomorrow (Sunday 12th) but here is a photo of the engine bay and the gate setup. The car now also has smoked L.E.D taillights and smoked side indicators. It has an engine damper as well and complete stereo setup Pioneer all round.
  2. im interested in getting a 32 either a gtr or just a gts-t. im selling my s15 at the moment. the body kit looks a little roughly mounted as in it was a poor fit or am i just trippin
  3. you know me phil... smarter than the average bear...
  4. yeah figured if i wanted an RB i'd just buy a GTR whilst the s15 is still youthful
  5. oh sorry im in North QLD and the colour is Pewter. So that silverey colour.
  6. As topic describes, I have been slowly putting this car together over a year and now that's it's together like most things, you want to get rid of them. I bought the car with 90,000 k's completely stock standard and it now has the following ENGINE: SR20-DET 110,000Km rocker cover sprayed in metallic blue Custom built 2871r .64 Hypergear turbo with welded up wastegate flap Tial 38mm gate cast welded onto standard manifold (best manifold up to 250kw) with a custom made screamer pipe. The gate houses two Tial springs to reach a steady 18psi HKS 256/264 10.5mm Step 1 camshafts. The staggered cam setup makes it so you can keep the VCT on the inlet cam gear. No aftermarket cam gears will ever dial in to get the response you get from the standard VCT unit Custom Trust style bell mouth dump (went bellmouth as a split dumb is no longer needed due to external gate) down to an Xforce 3inch exhaust with high flow CAT TRUST m-spec intercooler and TRUST hot pipe FUEL Nismo aftermarket fuel pump Nismo 740cc Injectors Sard FPR SUSPENSION BREAKING & WHEELS Lowered king springs Slotted and cross drilled RDA front rotors with QFM pads all round ENKEI RP01 17" Wheels with 80% tread all round Whiteline front and rear adjustable swaybars DRIFTSHOP adjustable castor rods All of this is tuned by a PowerFC D-Jetro There is more to list but this is just for interest sake at the moment. Price is $22,000 Car is clean all round and has never been thrashed. I am 23 and still retain my original 17 year old licence for a reason. I will get photos up soon when I can take some nice photos of my car. Looking at buying a R32 GTR
  7. dang the one im looking at's a 92 so it must have a push type clutch then
  8. just out of curiosity.. how much oil do they normally take with the standard sump in place without the extra litre
  9. i thought there were problems with the r32 oil pump as in the end of the crankshaft was too short where the oil pump went on and was causing oil pump failure
  10. Well I have been modifying turbo cars for about six years and I have always wanted a GTR. My s15 puts out around 250rwkw at the moment but it's time for a change and something that's a little torquer off boost. Ive always loved 32 GTR's and I have read as many threads as I could on them and RB associated oil problems (including sydney kids) 40 page boonanza. I don't have a track to take my car too, I am past being 17 years old with a turbo car since I am now 24 and recently watched Steven Hawking prove that time travel into the past was impossible I know that's not going to relive itself. I just want a 300kwish clean 32GTR that every now and again I can give it some stick and rip an occasional skid... very occasional. http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?R=9549222&__sid=12CCCABFB3A0&__Qpb=true&Cr=2&__Ns=pCar_PriceSort_Decimal|1||pCar_RankSort_Int32|1||pCar_Make_String|0||pCar_Model_String|0&keywords=&__N=1216%201246%201247%201252%201282%204294963846%204294963593%20900&seot=1&__Nne=3&tsrc=allcarhome&__No=105&trecs=317&silo=1003 Have a look at this one, it's clean as a bean but the only associated problem with it to me is the fact it has none of the oil mods done to it. I'm not necessarily getting this car but something along the same lines. Is there any particular things for the sort of car I want that I should make sure they have or any other input someone can provide. Thankyou
  11. AS TOPIC STATES. I don't normally come on SAU but im interested in reading more about 32 GTR's as a mate is buying one. Considering this actual thread would of come up a zillion times on a skyline forum, is there a really good article that someone can link me to already that is detailed with all the problems and fixes needed in owning/buying a 32 GTR. Thanks guys/gals
  12. oh and i meant to say the standard crossmember sits the engine up to high. most people end up smacking in their bonnet using the 33 one. could always just buy a reg and bump up the pressure..
  13. well im fairly sure the 33 cross member sits the gearbox up way to high. all the pipeing including I/C pipeing and front pipe down pipe will be done for free... anton is THE SHIT at welding now i have a z32 i can get for practically nothing.. eccys cheap uleh i reckon if i can drive noble enough to keep my six speed in the s15 alive at the power figure an rb20 would probably hold up if i looked after it i am going to tune it myself i am hopeing to hunt around for the 32 bits i need for absoluetely nothing considering the amount of junked up ones there are lieing around townsville and the connections we have phil like i said.. im getting the actual motor it self and just prepping it for something to do and getting it all ready... if i get it on a good price worst case scenario is i can sell it and make my money back if i don't put it in... in saying so this is in the near future as a possibility over re-building the SR if i pop it. what power can the stock six set of 33 injectors handle anyway phil
  14. depending on the funds yeah i'll just throw in a 33box phil and get hardy spicer to make me up a rb/sr tailshaft. only problem is s15 diff ratio is 3.9.1 so the gears will be too tall for the five speed.... it would be ok i guess like i said all depends on the funds. i might even use an rb20 box considering i can find one for about 300-400 dollars so there's an engine loom and box for around 2500. then all i need is an r32 radiator/r32 engine cross member mounts and brackets/ i can use the s15 g-box crossmember and the power steering lines can be bent to fit. have to lose the viscous fan which is gay bu AU thermo fans are a great upgrade with a decent d-craig controller and the rest is as follows i guess.
  15. While I am at it my current setup is SR-20DET S15 HGEAR ATR28G2 450HP .64 Turbo with standard manifold sandblasted with Tial 38mm Gate/Screamer 740cc Nismo INJ HKS 256/264 Step 1 Camshafts ApexiPOWERFC D-Jetro/Commander & The general other figgily bits that we all pay hundreds of dollars for that are never going to earn back their value every again... alas Reason for the motor swap. (oh car makes nearly 248.5kw on a "special tune" being fixed after christmas) reason for the swap of motor you might say? Well i've been getting my hands dirty on SR's for too long and I would like disrupt the weight balance in my car by unnecessarily throwing a rb25 in it XD
  16. I am doing this conversion most likely in the near future to my s15. As I have a lot of spare time I am just going to purchase the motor and clean it up and get it ready for the eventual build. I know everything I need to swap it over so I am not looking for advice on that, but one thing I was thinking of was using the 25NEO DE motor instead of the DET and turboing it. Reasons for doing so is for the raised compression in that I could achieve great results at lower boost but this is just a theory. Neo motor is about $2400 and the DE is around $1000 Food for thought. I plan to just highflow the standard turbo to around the 250kw mark and nistune the standard ecu that's about it. Not sure on the factory RB injector size as I have been modifying SR's for six years and have only just made the decision for a change now. So yeah.. this is me.. What up SAU
  17. definetely sounds like you have off weight sizes on the wheels, +1 for balance
