  1. Gents, As a few of you may know I fried my PFC a month ago, with a wiring fault. I have since repaired the fault and replaced my AFM. I am currently using my old Mines comp while the Apex is going from shop to shop to be repaired. The mines computer works fine except the cold run settings are useless so the car runs like a pig until it warms up, which is taking longer and longer since we have finished summer. What I am after is someone who is willing to lend me a STD ECU for an R33/32 for a couple of weeks. I will temporally swap my mine (As security) for a STD ECU. The swap will obviously come with a carton of beer to say thankyou. So if anyone has done a PFC upgrade and has a STD ECU for a R32 or R33 sitting around please let me know. I would be happy to come and pick it up anywhere in Sydney, I have deliberately put it in the NSW page, as I wanted to keep it local for simplicity. Please Help! Thanks OZ.
  2. Mine is a lease GTR, +40,000Km per year its my only car and it gets used everyday. The best thing about skylines is that you can own a high HP car that’s easy and comfortable to be driven every day and they last. Lease runs out soon, R34 Vspec II here we come. The 33 are the most comfortable seats wise, but the 34 have a rarer look.
  3. Fatz, $150 to skid all day, not my cup of tea. I wouldn't mind if there was some track time in there, so sorry.
  4. I could be in that, 22nd is best.
  5. Alothough the intercooler is large it not as big in volume as a 4" trust or alike. 760 x 360 x 72 mm = 19700cm3 A large trust would be 600 x 300 x 120 = 21600cm3 So they are about 10% bigger, I went for cooling affect, with a larger surface area. Think about the efficency of a 4" FMIC by the time a the air is trying to cool the last inch of the core. I know I dont get above 50 Deg inlet temp on a 30+ day at the Creek.
  6. Power wise not much, I am yet to dyno the beast. Mods. PFC with Boost Kit. Cam sprokets Dump pipes HKS 550cc Inj Larger intercooler 47.5mm High flow turbo's with steel shaft. 3.25" exhaust. Track Mods 3 Core Brass Radiatior 300x200x40 oil cooler Sump Baffel Head retrictor 3000lb Brass button clutch Kevlar Brake pads Yoka 255 A-Spec tyres. Im currently running .65 Bar and I want to dyno it up around 1.3 or until I run out of duty Cycle. Last trackday I only got 1 unhindered lap and my passanger clocked a 1.52 Lap, My brake upgrade should pull me down into the 1.40's. Blew my apexi up with an electrical fault about 4 weeks ago so I am running the stock computer with the old Inj while it is getting fixed.
  7. I have had my turbo's re built twice, at Garrett at Chipping Norton Syd. It costs $350 to clean and reseal each turbo. To high flow turbo from 43mm compressor wheel to 47.5 mm $200 To replace compressor wheel $600. Steel shaft kit was I think $400. I think that’s about right. Look them up or ask for there number at anyone of the performance shops, but really looking at those costs it would have been best to but an after market HKS 2535 or similar Ball bearing turbo.
  8. If it gets a solid feed of air, i.e it replaces the spot where your standard intercooler was (Assuming you have a front mount) I think it should be fine. I have a theory though, for track work the bigger the better. The place at Seven Hills also has t-piece taps, which allow you to redirect oil away from the cooler, if the car is a streetcar. This gets over the issue of cooling your oil too much. I may do this if my oil temps drop too low in winter.
  9. Custom 740mm x 360mm x 72mm, just the right size to fit in a GTR grill with no tanks showing.
  10. To answer the original questions 100% stock GTR with an exhaust only 127KW at all 4. I have the Dyno graph to prove it. It was done at Bob Wyms 4wd Dyno in Sydney. I saw an R32 do 158kw on the same day on 2 wheels.
  11. I bought a new 19 row oil cooler from a place in Seven Hill's just off the end of the M2 in Sydney. 02 9838 7272. It was $300, about 30cm long, 19 rows wide say 20cm and about 3-4 cm thick. It fitted nicely where the Aircon Fan used to sit. They also sell anodised aluminium screw fittings, sandwich plates and braided oil lines. I think I spent about $600 for everything. It was not cheap but looked good and keeps the car below 110 Deg Cel in the middle of summer tearing around the creek. My advise done be cheap, oil leaks are a messy and a pain in the ass, and no oil is kind of a bother as well.
  12. Sorry I was talking about C3. I intend to do some ticket racing to keep mine current but in general, as a Club, what can be do?
  13. No Go with that one, the intercooler is not designed to handle Oil pressure. Too big in volume, too big in connection size. no chance. Spend $300 on a good one its not worth driving along and running out of oil.
  14. We will need to race a certain number of time per year to keep your CAMS current. How do you propose to do this?
  15. Mail Sent, Thanks
  16. Yep, he doesn't have it in the country yet and $1450 is a bit rich! If he does get it by today he will bring it to Sydney for me, this weekend. My big problem is if I go new, my Hand controller and boost kit may not work.
  17. Yeah I opened it up about 15 min after it stopped working, no burn smell of black marks. The fault symptoms are all the relays in the car and the injectors chatter and the car wont start.
  18. Number for Hikara? Thanks.
  19. Yeah, they were more interested in selling me a new one. I will call Hills thought
  20. It’s been out of the car for 3 weeks and at a repair place. It has come back with a "Dead" sticker on it. The guy said he spent 4 hours and could not isolate the fault. If anyone knows of anyone with heaps of experience fixing them, I do have at home currently being used as a paperweight.
  21. Well it looks like an electrical problem has fried my Apexi, If anyone can help with the supply of an Apexi, Im keen to chat.
  22. My friend at NRG Auto's (A WRX guy I have been using), he sent it away to a guy in the WRX club who fixes all types of Car accessories.
  23. I destroyed my PFC last week with a wiring fault. The AFM wiring had a earth put across the Power supply and the PFC has shat itself and currently suffers from a power drain issue that makes the relays go crazy in the whole car. I am currently running my old mines computer to get around, but unfortunately it does no know I have 550cc inj so it’s running like a dog. Once my PFC comes back from repair I will have to pay Hills a visit to get it reprogrammed. $450 with dyno sounds acceptable.
  24. All, Dave has not come back with the price yet. I will keep at him, I will call again on Tuesday. With the prices Dave has been very good at keeping us at or just above cost. If he stops making money they we stop having track days. I may only be speaking for myself but I am happy to pay a little extra just to make sure he is going to keep suppling us with a place to drive my car.
  25. Hold onto your sox for this one. I asked Silverwater water how much to tune my PFC. Ready 6hours $1400 Nice one guys I responded. Whats Hills normal costs t o tune one?
