  1. The "performance metalcraft "sump is lovely. Thanks Leon. Initial chemical clean and bore and hone was affordable, with friendly service from "Peak Rebores" Mortdale. My engine builder plans to test assemble and recheck clearances any way.
  2. Live in a town house in Central Sydney, reason for sale don't need the clutter. Replaced these items with new or forged. RB25det crank $20, oil pump stock $5, stock water pump $5. Stock pistons (blown ringlands+++) and rods $5 all six. Prefer pick up or meet you in Central Sydney. Unsold=off to the tip. PM or email [email protected].
  3. So much is purely personal. Rota wheels seem to suit skylines and have decent prices. New or second hand? Second hand r33 or r34 gtr wheels look nice. Simmons wheels are around second hand. BBS were a factory R32 fitment.
  4. Another pm sent, would like your id and a freight tracking number to send $ interstate. Thanks.
  5. Pity, while you were waiting i was waiting for an r33 crank from Tasmania.
  6. My votes on the turbo are waiting for the gtx series, or a hypergear hiflow if you want to save.
  7. Nice build, surely a high flow turbo, would enhance your built bottom end?
  8. My take is to use the RB25 bearings but treat every crank to block fitment as an "individual" one.
  9. Nice colour, great result.
  10. Pon cam for vct and hydraulic lifters. Two types for series one and two.
  11. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ac...ngs-t90278.html Old thread related to what you are quoting, or what you are quoting, stating the major rb26 difference is the clearences.
  12. A lot of internet specials around atm such as rb26 cp pistons and forged rods 1k us dollars. You need the rb26 pistons with an rb26 crank.
  13. I think gts4s have more in common with gtr, suspension wise.
  14. GT3076, but new series start next year. Also are you using the stock manifold? If you need stock appearance consider a Hypergear high flow.
  15. In fact you could get by on the street in an old corolla hatch back, do wonderful touring in an r31 Pintara. No one requires a forged engine or a turbo, or a sports or sporty car! Perhaps we could change from a forced induction forum to a NA Lada group. Perfect for street use. The topic question was on compression ratios, not whether it's worth building an engine to a goal.
  16. Both "bolt in" as will the RB26, if you can't get a neo engine, you can get a neo head.
  17. A GTS 4 project often starts 10- 15k dollars lower than a GTR. I still think GTR is the ultimate!
  18. The Stagea sump does go into the r32 GTS4. You can swap the GTS4 diff into the new egnines sump, or transplant the new engines diff ratio into the rear diff housing. They need to match!
  19. If you follow blind elks posts, there is plenty of detail about Stagea rb25 into r32gts4. I'm doing this swap slowly. I think the rb26 is worth considering these days, the cost is lower than it used to be. Power - the point of a swap is higher. State laws may impact as well. An RB26 can put out power looking close to stock.
  20. Stagea rb 25det imports are rarer from my searching of importers of engines or front cuts. It is the all wheel drive engine availability, that will impact on him. There are many more stock rear wheel drives. in rb25det. I live in a sad Australia, that trade skills are so low and disreputable, according to this forum, that no one can be trusted to rebuild the bottom end of a double over head cam straight six!
  21. Isn't Emerald in Queensland? I thought their might be someone more local. I found Darren Lewis reasonable to talk to. It's just that he won't be there at start up. If you find Nissan RB builders over the top, sometimes the VL rb30 commodore mechanics are OK.
