ive used a heat gun to take off stickers before. Just be careful not to leave the heat gun in one spot. Gets them off no problem at all. I took of a metal HKS badge on my skyline, however it left behind some glue residue... ive tried metho and wax and grease remover to get it off but no luck... I was wanting to try the orange stuff that would guys been talking about.. i hear you can get it at bunnings... anyone know what it is called?

i didnt flush mine, i just let it drain for a good 30-40 mins... Dont forget to clean the magnet on the drain plug. SHould have alot of metal on it from all those "miss gear changes" and such.

does a r34 take 5 litres of gear box oil??? I know the r33 takes just under 3.8 litres... In regards to the oil, assuming the r34 and r33 is similar just undo the bottom plug on the gearbox and drain out all the oil. SHould be good enough. THen undo the one on the top side and fill her up using a pump of some kind.... Dont forget to seal the plugs... the screws should be taperd to prevent leaking but a little bit of sealant wouldnt hurt =) and saves u wasting v. exp gear box oil!!!

wow a big difference... you can really hear the low end deep "bass" per say disappering when its closed up! If i didnt have my HKS Silent Hipower i would get this one for sure.. =)

i would not use 15w - 60 Should be more like 5w-10w for the cold weight. 40w-50w for hot weight. However if you engine is new i.e been rebuilt, i would opt for a 30w oil. But if ur engine is getting old go for 40w-50w

Your oil pressure shouldnt be at half way if its just idling. Should be sitting on roughly 2. Under a bit of pressure it should b around 4. I wouldnt recommend using penrite pro 15. THe cold weight seems a bit high for a turbo engine. Maybe try a different type of oil in your car? Maybe Mobil One or Royal Purple?

Lifters sometimes get dirty and dont work properly. This can cause them to be a little bit noisy... Its quite common in skylines. Sometimes a few good oil changes will quiten them down. I have heard of cleaning agents which you can add which also help with the process. And make sure the oil you buy is a good quality one.. as the good ones usually have some kind of cleaning agent in them as well. You can always buy another set of lifters. Not exactly sure how much that would set you back tho.

yea it does something about the particles going into the gears making it smoother.. not exactly sure on the technical info behind it But it came high recommended from a trusted mechanic. so i put it in, and it is as sweet as ever.

Just wondering if any of u guys have notice the 180sx (i think) Edit: its a supra... i need glasses and night vision! lol!) on the side of the freeway just before mt henry bridge... going south. Seems to be in a bad way and its been there for couple of days... Someone will come along sooner or later and try to steal parts off it... its got nice rims on it... I wonder if its been stolen and left there? Thought i might start up this thread to start some communication... just incase it was stolen and the owners are looking for it

this is a bit off topic ... but I heard that if u do happen to lock ur keys in ur car... u can unlock the doors using the spares and not even having to return home... apparently if u call home and you put ur mobile phone near your car and have the person at home press the remote on your spare key the signal will transfer thru the phone and unlock you car! I havent tried this so dont quote me on it. Seems a bit farfetched... i guess the best way to find out is to try it!

Wat the f**k?? What happen to make them hate ur car so much. Park it near a dog... rottwieller or german shepard or someting of the like. i would try and sought it out with the neighbours instead of spending money on this garage ! And if they dont want to listen get some video evidence of it happening and report it to the police.. Why should you pay for a temp garage when they are in the wrong..

im running HKS silent hi power.. gives out a nice note... Stays pretty quiet if u driving normally but does get a little bit noisy when u put ur foot down

i did mine 35 or 30... whatever the darkest legal is in WA ...all the way around... Best to attract the lest amount of police attention esp when driving a modified car... Going to the pits is painful! and it only takes one bastard cop thats in a bad mood to do you for it. Thats just my thinking anyway =)

To be on the safe side i would change it.... Never take advice from guys from autobahn/repco or any of those kind of shops... If they offer you advice just smile but dont take any of it into consideration. Why didnt you mechanic notice when you gave him the bottle? You can do ur diff oil your self... isnt too hard. 1 bolt down the bottom of the diff drains your oil, another bolt on the side up the top to fill it up with. You can pick up a little hand pump to get the oil in there which you can keep for next time you do either gearbox or diff! ... Too easy! Hope this helps~ THis one seems like a good idea as well...
