  2. finally someone in perth thats done it! Look dam good ~ You didnt happen to take pics while you were doing it? Im interested in attemptiing something similar.
  3. i dun think u would of damaged the diff from jacking it up there. I jack from their whenever im doing work on the rear end. Besdies i think thats where you meant to jack it.. as i cant recall anywhere else u can... Unless you got a hoist.
  4. Wow really. So from factory are they 4 or 5?
  5. hm, i change my oil at 5000kms or less. So non frequent changing is not the problem. Maybe i try the mobile 1 0w-40w. Without lifter free. Might need to look for an alternative oil tho. 0w-40w fully syn around 90 for 5 litres! Anyway i inform you guys how it goes. =)
  6. yep. its got the middle one. And on the purple/pink compliance sticker it says 5. Thats my friends one. His one is 1993. Mine which is 1995, has no middle seat belt and on the purple/pink compliance sticker it says 4.
  7. Not sure if this has been metioned but, the series 1 has 5 seat capacity where as 1.5 and up has been lowered to 4. I.E no middle seat in the series 1.5 and greater.
  8. ive been using mobile 1 5w-50w.(Fully Syn) However im finding 50 a little bit too thick, as i am getting some lifter noises. What i am plan to do is move on to mobile 1 0w-40w. (Fully Syn). and i might add some "lifter free" to try and clean out those lifters. What do u guys think off this? From what ive read so far, it seems that it should be a good swap. But extra info is always good =)
  9. Yea i got 6000k ones in mine, nvr had a problem
  10. Water pump ? Have u checked that one out ? Usually at around 100k mark it will start to go.....
  11. Confirmed.. series 1.5 (1995) has that switch, just in a different spot. Weird how they would change it :S. Its more under the dash as u can see in the pic.
  12. i have a r33 1995/ series 1.5 and im pretty sure ih ave that switch, just not in that same poistion. I will check when i get home from uni and post a pic up.. I may be wrong tho. Shall see tonight.

  15. dam! that really sucks... yeah windows would be expensive for any import. And insurance is no good as excess is usually at the 2k+ mark. Ive had my car broken into twice (not my skyline, my other car i drive around) so i know the feeling in both the wallet and knowing someones been thru ur ride. Although it was not at my house but at curtin uni car park. Dodgy place to park now a days. Hope you get it fixed.. and agreed on shopping around for the parts.. however its going to be raining on thursday so i would suggest somethning temp there asap... Good luck on the fix.
  16. Thanks Chris. Appreciate the help =)
  17. Hey guys, I was thinking to put my car into storage for a bit, as i have another car and the mileage is getting closer and closer to the 100k mark! haha... Anyway down to the question.. I have a car alarm installed in my car and ive heard of some alarms not working to well if you dont turn on the car often. I.E car not starting due to alarm playing up. What i was planning to do was 1. Lock the doors with the key 2. Do not arm the alarm 3. Unplug the battery 4 Keep it in a secured location Even though it will be in a secured location i would prefer to have the doors locked. Due to the battery being unplugged well i still be able to open the door? Im pretty sure the key opens the lock and not the motor. (for the door being opened with the key). Is there anything i have missed? Thanks in advance for the help =)
  18. Dont forget the market over here in the WEST People tend to buy skylines at higher prices as less of them around. Economic stuff less competition etc.... So advertise online.. carsales etc, and let them know that you dont mind send interstate at buyers expense... 30 000km mileage with proof of KMS is pretty good for a skyline.. knowing most of them have been changed!
  19. Red line light shock proof for gear box. Best oil out there by far... however you will pay the money for it. Not sure about r32 but r33 takes just under 3.8 or 1 us Gallon. For diff i just used castrol LSD 90. That took around 1.7 litres... But again for an r33.
  20. if thats the case, should be able to get rid of it. Just becareful not to scratch the paint.
  21. obviously a wires may be clashing or wrongly connected. Seems like its the installer fault so you should ask him to re wire and/or re check his wiring. Shouldnt have to pay for his mistakes
  22. for street use.. stick to lightweight... the blue one.. otherwise known as "smurfs blood".. ahah great name
  23. pics would be good.... and why do u have welds there for? ?
  24. ive seen a series 1 coupe use a sedan bumper before.. however im not sure if the sedan bumper was series 1 or 2.. either way it fit but was not perfect.... I would suggest to find a coupe front bumper... look alot nicer on the car =)
