**i have posted this under the "wanted" area.. but after seeing the amount of replies/views per topic (next to none), i deicded to post it here as well... Hope the admins dont mind too much.... ** I recently seen a few cars with carbon fibre bonnets, and now i want one! I had a chat with another SAU WA member who has one, and he directed me to the person who he sourced it off. Ive contacted that person, and he has informed me he has none in stock however he can get them in for $650 including freight, but he needs at least four people to obtain that price. Im aussuming for that price, it would be a coat of carbon fibre with fibreglass underneath, however i will confirm this with him...he is also sending me some pictures tomorrow, which i will post up so you guys can have a look at them. At this time, this is just out of interest, if you have any interest at all, please let me know (thru pm) and ill discuss further with you to confirm. Also ive asked him if the $650 includes him installing the bonnet, as soemtimes it can be a bit tricky to line it all up... I hope there are at least 3 of you that want them! cause i want one!!!! Cheers guys/girls Brendan

Just try changing the gear box oil. There are heaps of DIY on the DIY forum. Check it out. For an r33 GTS T, i would and have opt for Redline Shock proof light. You will need 1 gallon (3.8 litres), and you will use nearly all of it. You will have a little bit left over. Its not 4.2, rather approx 3.7 litres, not sure where he got that figure from, and street cars are best to use redline shock proof LIGHT (the blue one) not the heavy one.(the yellow one). =)

R33 Drag Suspension Setup
br3ndan replied to r33cruiser's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
squatting is the way to go! =D I read in Imports Mag (skyline special edition), they actually had an article on achieving 11seond time slips. That actually the original suspension provides the best "squatting' for drag racing. stiff suspension (like mine! HKS Hipermax D). Not the way to go, due to excess wheel spin. Hope it helps! -

How is it to light? 5W is only the cold weight... and will only be light while the engine is cold. Once it heats up, the hot weight 40 is sutiable for the Rb25. As nissan Reccomends hot weight of 30. Maybe it will be different for you, as it seems that you use your car for track.. meaning the car will be pushed hard. But for Street i see no problem with that oil.

photographer and model are both friends of mine... so total cost = $0 ill post up the pics when i do this, it will be this month sometime for sure. Im going to scope out locations next week. I quite like the idea of that BP nickel place. Sounds interesting. After you can take a look at the pics and if you like it, i dun mind to intro you to the photographer. =)

Oh yeah, im south of the river.. so preferably somewhere not to far away from me!

I have the official numbers for oil pressure from the Service Manual for the R33. I printed it out... YES its very long but it was worth it as i can have it next to me when working on the car. Below are the numbers from Nissan Japan Service Manual. RB20E: Idle: 1.0 2000rpm: 3.8 6000rpm: 4.8 RB25DE: Idle: 1.0 2000rpm: 3.3 6000rpm: 5.3 RB25DET: Idle: 1.1 2000rpm: 3.5 6000rpm: 5.6 RB26DETT: Idle: 1.5 2000rpm: 3.0 6000rpm: 4.6 *Note these are pressures after engine has reached operating tempreture and its based on 7.5 - 30 oil. Obviously if you use different oil then to that, pressures will vary.

So your trying to say u can do ur test in automatic. wait a year and they automatically give u manual licence?? ?! What the hell! Over east got some really weird rules. And whats with green and red P's? Here in Western Australia, if you get an auto licence, you can only drive auto, no matter what time frame. And we only have one P plates. Which we have to show for 2 years, and after they you can take them down. Weird how australia is one country but every state seems to differ in rules. It should b universal i think. To save confusion =/
-
Yea i dont think u lose ur licence for getting more then 4 points in one hit.

br3ndan replied to PJF's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I wouldnt mind getting my self a set for my R33. How much would i be looking at? -
You guys over east seem to have so many rules in regards in modified cars... Maybe you guys should consider coming over west! Not nearly as much rules about modifying your car over here!
