  1. Yeah i drove like a biatch on the way back, even on 12psi my car just spins the wheels in the wet....... plus my walking frame was getting in the way of the steering wheel, i cant help if i am a girly-man Yeah got heaps of scenery pics, still on camera at home, just need to find the cable and upload them. I'll post the good ones here so you can grab them.
  2. Yeah i figured i'd driven all the way there so might as well have a look. Weather was clear at the lookout, but freaking terrible for the next 5 hours following! HAHAHAHA We took it mighty easy on the way up and back, few branches on the road but otherwise just soaked. You car sounds tops, sounds very much like mine, nice and angry hehehehehe Catch ya next time mate. Andy
  3. i will happily back the above statement as well. been there many times for different tunes, each time I am so impressed with his quality of work and he is always happy to explain everything to the "technically challenged" such as myself. He is a master at what he does.
  4. It was me Patrick, the Great Sir Andrew !!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAH Was good to meet a few people and go for a drive up there. Bloody good timing the rain stopped for when we got to the lookout, it sure made up for it on the way home!!! Heaviest rain EVER!!!!! Saw a car that had spin off the road on Mona Vale road and go backwards into a tree at a decent speed, YIKES!!!!! Heaps of other cars had stopped. MASSIVE areas of aqua planing on the road too, not cool. but adds to the excitement!!!!! Great to meet Patrick, Joel, Ed and Michael in the R32 GTR, plus briefly meet slow skyline (your car sounded PHAT when you left the car park, nice wheels too mate ) Got some good pics from the lookout will post up when i get the camera sorted.......
  5. Thanks for paying for me Matty, legend mate
  6. Looks like Epic Rain for saturday.................... bugger................ does the cruise still take place???? rain hail or shine? Well not hail
  7. I have a R33 GTST with 250rwkw that sees the track a few times a year and I run QFM A1RM pads and they are superb. Just about to get another set in a few weeks, happy to get them again. They are great for the street too, just need a few light stops to warm up. I have a Mechanic who i have used for over 10 years in Artarmon, he is not a Skyline specialist but a top mechanic. For any tuning issues i see Yavuz from Unigroup but everything else my local mechanic gets the nod. If you want his details then drop me a PM. Cheers. Andrew
  8. OH Dave, NO YOU DIDN'T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Already locked it in, missing the Mrs friend bday (this cruise as my saviour as i would have been super bored) I;ll see you there Dave, will you be turning up THIS TIME? heheheheeh
  9. Forgot to say, paid with the reference Andy Metcalf TEXI or something like that
  10. PAID my $50, and will fax form in this morning. GIDDY UP!!! Missed the last Texi so SUPER pumped for this one!!!!!
  11. was good fun going for a spin in your car too mate, good to feel the old GCG again, ahhh good memories I do love the GT-RS turbo still, and will most likely bolt another one on when this one comes to the end of its life. Sure there are PLENTY of other turbos out there with more power, but response is what i love when driving sydney roads, which are almost all 50km/hr near me.
  12. so devastated i missed this texi, as i've been to every other one so far................. good news is there will be more texis!!!!! Looks like everyone had a tip top day, love to see some more pics!!!!
  13. if you live in Sydney and can make it to the North Sydney area i can happily take you for a spin in my R33 with a GT-RS turbo and you can make your own decision from there on how it pulls and sounds.......
  14. i've had a GCG R33 highflow (with standard rear housing) and it was a cracker of a turbo for the budget conscious. I now have a GT-RS turbo. THE GCG was a great turbo, sensational bang for buck for about $1K second hand. Compared to the GT-RS i found the GCG gave a bigger "whack in the seat" factor when it hit full boost, the GT-RS is much more responsive and smooth in its delivery. Its been a long time since i've driven a stock turbo car, but the GT-RS spools so smoothly and quickly, its hard to fault it. THe GT-RS is much smoother and I found it very street friendly. I live in suburbia with mostly 50km/hr zones, so i need a responsive turbo. It also comes down to your tune, the boost you're running, etc etc. My GT-RS is currently making 242rwkw, my tuner said there is plenty more in it, but i am more than happy with the current tune, nice and conservative, yet plenty of power. Short story, i love my GT-RS turbo, they do cost a fair bit, but once you've got it up and running you'll be more than happy with your investment.
  15. is it just me or this really hard to read. One of the longest sentences ever and hard to understand.......
  16. hmmmmmm i think thats a Series 1 wheel?!?!?!?! The series 2 wheel has a smaller centre airbag part with flat cover over the airbag not curved like that one, or do i have them confused.?
  17. never a truer word spoken.......... Course A for MAX Smoke and SKIDS!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Free BUMP, i have these on my R33, they are sensational. Great clear light, some of the best non-factory HIDs i've ever seen. Do not dazzle oncoming drivers ever. These are a steal at this price!!!!!!
  19. a heard a saying many years ago from my Dads mate, "Horsepower sells cars, torque wins races" Didnt really think much of it at the time as i drove a 1988 Celica, and it had neither HAHAHA
  20. Howdy, do you have the stock Series 2 black rear bumper bar? cheers andrew
  21. Best bet is to read this from start to finish http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Rb...yno-t55845.html yes its long but you'll be amazed how much more you will know when you reach the end. You will have a much better idea of what to do to your car, as well as which mods you want to get first...... ENJOY!!!!! Also the SEARCH button is here for a reason, if you have a question, always search for it first
  22. I have 240rwkw with Kumho KU31s in 265/35/18 and they hold pretty well in second gear. Need flat road to get the power down, if its super bumped it churps along as it bounces. You need to have the front wheels pointed in a straight line though when flooring it in second gear, otherwise get ready for opposite lock time Pretty sure that will happen with any tyres bar semi slicks though.......
