  1. Do you have the interior kick panel that covers the computer and also the trimming in the door where you put your hand in to pull the door shut (not the handle with the mirror control in it)? do you have the steering wheel as well as the steering coloumn? How much all together?
  2. I reckon the prices are OK. The only people who will tell you to pay no more than $10K for a 32 are the tight arses who can't buy it or a a bit jealous your trying to get one. I'm trying to sell a 33 and 32 GTR and can't believe some people. I mean I imported to sell but I'm not trying to make double the profit. I just want to make enough to cover my cost and make it worth while to import again. Remember the 89 one is probably as good as the later model one, My wifes 32 is in a good a condition as my 33 mechanically and body wise, so the comment about needing to fix the motor on the 89 is bull. Try get there prices down but, I mean you set the price so people can haggel with you a bit, then you both end up winning. i would be happy to fork that sort of money out.
  3. so does the engine still run? does it make funny sounds? I reckon you would have spun a bearing if that sort of problem happened at 8000rpm. A 33 i sold had fluctuating oil pressure after the guy bought it and it ended up being the oil pressure sender was failing so that dash was telling a different story from what was actually happening.
  4. I guess people wouldn't use it for racing because of it being held in a pressurized vessel? After talking to various people I always believed dual fuel cars to run with less power in the LPG setup cause the car is tuned for petrol and the LPG requires more advanced timing to run properly. So I guessed that with a slower burn rate it must have a higher ron rating so you could pull more power out of it. just my guess. you wouldn't want to try put anything in the boot of the GTR if you did the conversion cause with the tank in there I can't see there being much more room. interersting to see some results.
  5. Do you still have the radiator? I am after one for my wifes 32 GTR. Shes about to sell it and the top tank started leaking.
  6. DO you still have the radiator? I am after one for my wifes 32 gtr.
  7. Hmmm, got my little mechanical mind stumped then. The only reason I can think of oil blowing out your breather is your getting allot of gas in your motor which would come from the piston. Has anyone ever had a valve stem seal let exhaust gas through blowing a heap of air into the cam journal? You should have smoke on statrt up then. Don't know my friend!
  8. It's also good for some detonation when your on load. That's my main reason for having it vent to atmosphere. Same with my GTR although it sits on the drivers side of the motor both the cam covers venting to the can and the PCV valve has been removed and the hole has a bung in it. but it doesn't drain into the sump. I don't think anything I've done is dodgey, maybe simple, all your ideas are very good and well thought out, mine might be "illegal" but if you have oil over all your engine bay from your can venting something is wrong. my filter still looks clean.
  9. On my Wifes old SR20 there is a drain at the back of the turbo side of the motor and when you put a front mount on and change to piping you just get a small vented catch can to sit on the fire wall with the head venting to the top it and run a pipe from the bottom of the catch can back to the drain on the motor, why use a valve to stop the oil flowing back? Thats the sort of setup I would use, if you wanted to you could use the turbo drain to tap into to let any oil drain into the sump.
  10. My friend had the same problem, his breather was like a kettle blowing, even went to the extent of making it harded for air to get out to his catch can by altering his cam covers, piston number six was stuffed. He never did a compression test though. you got to remember that with the compression test nothing is firing, so you have 19% difference. imagine how much gas get's blown by when the piston fires and then when your nailing it on boost! gas travels from the sump area blowing all oil up with it. if it was a serious wrecked valve stem seal you should see allot more smoke on start up.
  11. cut a piece of tin metal the same shape as a flange and drill a couple of 12mm holes in it. it dropped 4DB out of my car but they run like real pov so go home and pull it straight away. if it's afully welded system just stuff some steel mesh up it and then put the silencer back in it. QLD it's 94Db.
  12. Yeah it should have an aerial symbol on it. I use it on me GTR to make the aerial go up and down with my pioneer head deck which doesn't have auto up and down.
  13. about 5 liters of everything will do. undercoat, basecoat and clearcoat. This is for 2pac anyway. You'll have heaps left.
  14. yeah cheers folks. I figured that out after i posted it from talking to a mechanic friend of mine. would the larger exhaust wheels due to an increased flow rate make the airflow sensors read differently causing it to overfuel?
  15. I have recently done the high mount upgrade on the 33 GTR but not thinking about we used a set of 32 GTR O2 sensors (I steel wheeled 32 GTR turbos) Since then the 33 has been running a bit rich and in my pursuit of finding the problem I have used my multi meter and read the resistance across the O2 sensors. on the 33 one's i get 4.3 ohms across two of the three termnials. My engine is dead cold and the 32 one's that are on it read 7 ohm's. Are these correct reading's do 32's use a different sensor cause externally they are different. if so it would read different on the computer and it would adjust itself to suit, making the car run rich??? cheers for any help
  16. I am 10 hours north of brisbane if that gives you an idea. two hours inland from mackay. I can do a compression test on it and let you know the results. I bought it off the guy who imported it who lost interest in it so i don't haver auction sheet and he's not very help full so I don't reckon i will get it either. was repainted cause the two front panels, bonnet and boot where different colours and I couldn't be bothered trying to match up calsonic blue so I went with bayside.
  17. car was painted in OZ, speedo is about 68'000klms, not sure i really beleive any speedo from japan but I have had a good look at the car and the drive train and motor are all very good nick. Have had it for about 4 months. cars been serviced by me. I still don't have the trimmings and for this price I don't think i'll replace the Cooler. That's a long way to fly just to look at the car.
  18. yes the market's arse has really fallen out hasn't it, I will take 38,000 ONO for the car now.
