Car is still open to offers people.

Remove the top half of the plenum and make a rectangular plenum up. mount the aac valve on the back along with the maping sensor pickup and some barbed fitting's off the side for boost lines and such and your done. plus you don't wreck anything except intercooler piping which you have to change anyway. I did it to my old 33 and it worked a treat. similar to the supra setup. mt mate then made them a fair bit bigger. Think he's still got one if your interested.

Might just be dirty coils, get the plugs and coils cleaned and give it another shot. if it does it when the car is stationary and you rev it might not be the coils.

Saying no to a Skyline...again. :(
awurth replied to NS2500's topic in General Automotive Discussion
well none seem like proper sports cars and you seem to want a good car with a good warranty, go a magna might not look the best and i don't know heaps about the fuel economy but 10 years warranty on the engine and driveline, you can't go wrong. otherwise I reckon the Maz 3 looks the best. -
does the v spec r33 gtr hav any features
awurth replied to Let Me Drive's topic in General Automotive Discussion
small sticker on the back right simply saying "v-spec", some big brembo's behind the wheels and an actvie LSD light on the dash. that's about all I can see on my V-spec unless I obviously miss something. -
Damn straight, that happened in Mackay a coulple of years back, A few people sold there cars real cheap and people then had this warped perception that a nice 33 with mods wasn't worth $20K. I'd be looking at anywhere around the $28K mark for it.

What price do you people think I should be asking for the above mentioned car?

Is this intercooler piping big enough?
awurth replied to B0oStEr's topic in Forced Induction Performance
I don't know what formula i used originaly but your right. 2268 compared to 1963. as big as you can fit after the cooler -
i used 316 on my manifold, they use 304 on the exhaust can it's cheaper. basically 316 has less impurities than 304 but not as good as 321.

has anyone been able to download the Profec A file? I Thought I had a profec B but my solenoid unit has three Barb fittings instead of two which the Profec B has according to the file. it just has profec on the solenoid as well.

Is this intercooler piping big enough?
awurth replied to B0oStEr's topic in Forced Induction Performance
if it's before your intercooler you could use something the same size or bigger than your turbo outlet. On my GTR the outlet of the turbo's are 38mm. so when I high mounted them I've run two 38mm pipes into a single 50mm which then expands into 3' this was just for a better fit. 50mm still has more surface area than two 38mm pipes so it will still flow more and then it runs into the 3' cooler piping. as long as you don't go smaller it should be OK. -
standard turbines steel wheeled running around 14psi until I reconnect my Profec B. the exhaust wheel is a fair bit larger than standard so boost is hitting hard at about 4000rpm now. I haven't had it dyno'd as yet.

Climate control module for 32 Skyline
awurth replied to awurth's topic in Forced Induction Performance
a mate gave me a hand with his working module and we were none the wiser, except we found that the outside temp sensor didn't have anything plugged into it. I came home and read the manual and if that sensor isn't plugged in the open circuit makes the control module read -30 degrees and it will only blow hot air and not engage the clutch on the aircon compressor. we had a found a plug behind the drivers side light that was the same type but it isn't anywhere near the thermal fan were the sensor lives, but we thought we'll have a shot and moved the wiring, plugged it in and presto it works. COOL air on tap. -
