  1. True..I'm up in hokkaido and there seems to be endless amount of work shops that turn a blind eye to mods. Things I thought for sure would need to be changed for shaken have got the reply of mondai nai. Mind you I have to drive a fair way to my bloke but for the stress free and cheap price its worth it. Plus now he has a constant flow of gaijins with their cars now.
  2. Bloke I do it myself for 80 000yen and when cant be bothered, pay the little jap man 10k ..14k is pretty bloody exxy
  3. Ive bought ,shakened, carpark, the whole 9 yards and have done it with only oz international licence..but got to admit its all sweeter with a jap licence but still pull out the international if pinned by the cops..but then again only twice in 6 years not too bad..

  5. It's pretty hard to sort whats good and whats not..I'm definitely after driveability..drove a V spec 33 with a triple triple plate, car was standard bar coilovers and it was hell to drive..Yeah maybe get used to it but living where I do in japan I got 4 bitching months of snow and ice to contend with so a clutch thats user friendly is important. What sort of weight is the Jim berry as far as postage..i can workout a cost for sending to japan..Main thing I suppose is only looking at mods for say 4-450 HP so any recomendations be great.. By the way drifting in the snow is a hell of alot of fun
  6. There's a few companies here in Japan making them now..Signal, Tein just off the top of my head..give me a few days and I'll post some details and pics if i can work out how to post em!!
  7. Gave my car pretty hard run tonight and clutch is starting to slip off hard launches so looks like time to upgrade. Looking for something that is good for daily driving and can be used for the odd track day as well. The JB's sound good but I live in Japan so getting one over here could be a bit of a hassle. I've been looking at the Nismo copper mix but being here in Japan got access to all the jap tuning makers. Nismo garage is just 5 minutes down the road and HKS 15mins.. anyway any reccomendations or advice be great..what about HKS clutches...???
  8. I've got an R33 with some mods here in Japan. Looking at sending it back to Oz some time before may next year. Can I send it with just basic mods e.g air cleaner, exhaust and send the rest and replace once complied ?? Also jacking points are a bit bent is that going to be any problem and has had had left front guard replaced due to small bingle.. Any help be great...Also looking for reputable company to do the whole process..any recomendations..

  14. Just bought Gt r33 and so I'm a fresh baby with these cars. I got query on my wheels if anyone can help. Rims are 17 x 9 inch with 17 x 245 x 45 The thing is they got maybe 2cm spacers on the hubs..Is this a good or bad thing to the way the car drives..?? I'm in Japan and it seems to be the norm but I've seen some real stupid things here so dont know if they are on to be cool or help with handling..Seems to be enough room for the rim to clear brake caliper without them...any help/info be a bloody big help
