  1. i would say it's almost the same price/availability as the stagea. i can't say i've ever seen a cefiro wagon in australia.
  2. but you drive a nissan? i'd be saying FARK Ford & Holden after they kicked nissan out.
  3. yeah getting the part in is pretty easy. the handbrake was pretty simple to change, then installing the centre console is a breeze. i'll have to take it out when the gearbox goes in but apart from that it was easy. the clutch pedal needs a bit of mucking around, but i don't think it'll be too hard to finish on stands. the brake pedal needs to be changed, which means removing and replacing the pedal with a thinner manual one. apart from that there's not much else i can do, i;m getting it installed at a mechanics as i don't have the time to do it, and i don't want to wreck the car trying to do it.
  4. just thought i'd dig up an old thread. i started installing my clutch pedal today. make sure, if you order the stagea RS-FOUR S pedal and bracket, that you also get the spring and bolt that go with it. i didn't do this, but luckily i had an R33 clutch pedal and bracket lying around. these are almost identical units, except the R33 only has one top bolt hole, where as the stagea has 2 that line up with threads already installed in the firewall. I also needed a 32mm (1 1/4") hole bit to cut out for the master cylinder. the hole is already cut into the acoustic padding, and there is a cast circle for where the hole goes. nissan did everything for this manual except put the bloody thing in the series 1...
  5. as i said, not sure if it was a mines, he was just talking about getting one a while back. i don't know who farad is, but i was under the impression Chris was the only guy working at inline. i've been there many a time and never seen anyone else working there
  6. Spotted a white stagea on Cooyong St in canberr city, parked near the BP. saw it from the top of my building, so couldn't tell if S1 or 2. pretty sure it was Tee's though.
  7. should have got vin diesel to overnight parts from japan for you
  8. i'll try and get out, but not making any promises. the missus is a bit cranky atm.
  9. that's crazy expensive. i'm sure you can pick up cheap ones for around $100
  10. that R34 was at Inline yesterday arvo when i took my car in for a checkup. very nice clean car, i think it's a Mines GTR, but i can't be sure. the owner was telling me a while back he was looking at getting a Mines GTR.
  11. got any left, i i just saw this ad, and my centre vents are shagged from many a stereo install/modification
  12. what does a custom gear box contain? my near future goals are: 5spd GTR gearbox PowerFC Hi-Flow turbo then i'm pretty much done with the madwagon. it's not a race car. my far future car goals are to have a car that runs when we run out of oil in 30 years
  13. sunroof does cut your height a bit. i noticed that a lot when looking for stageas, the sunroof models had quite a lot less headroom. twin sunrooves was too cool to pass though. if i have the same problem i was going to open the sunroof, but it only comes halfway across the drivers seat, so doesn't really help unless you drive on an angle. i think i should be right, i have about 2 inches of clearance at the moment and i'm 6"2
  14. spotted the silver R33 GTR with carbon bonnet again last night in civic. has a sunroof. definately has had some sort of work done to the rear guards as they were both bogged up/prepped for painting. sounded tough
  15. damn, i have training in gungahlin friday nights until 8pm, maybe i could come late, really late... stupid south yass being so far away.
  16. do we need to be registered or book in or anything, or is just a show up and run sort of gig?
  17. Was it dark green? i saw what i thought was one last night along belconnen way. maybe it was indeed...
  18. spotted a silver 33 with a carbon bonnet, had a bit of primer up one side too, might have had a widebody conversion done or something. spotted a white 4dr R33 GTS & a black R32 GTST with huge FMIC on the hume/federal driving back to canberra today
  19. good guess, 1660kg when i weighed it last. that didn't include the additional items i've installed. i'll probably only have 1 or 2 runs, i just want to know how it feels before i put my hi-flo in. i'll take it for another run when the manual is in, then another run once the powerfc is in and tuned.
  20. spotted a black R32 in the basement under the Section 84 construction site.
  21. or smash him, either way, a good game is bound to unfold
  22. wider tyres = more drag on long journeys = increased fuel consumption. you should have thinner tyres for everyday driving and just use the wide ones for track days. better yet get semi-slicks
  23. + 400kg
  24. Does anyone know of a front cut anywhere in this town from a manual skyline, preferrably R33, and is willing to cut out the collar that goes around the gearstick on the transmission tunnel so i can weld it into my stagea for my manual conversion?
