  1. just like above but to suit series 2 r33 gtst. someone must know how to obtain one lol????
  2. and i am in no way a 'keyboard warrior'. I dont threaten violence against people on the internet. This is the only forum/site i use regularly and a review of my posts will show i am generally here to ask questions when i am stuck rebuilding something or to help others with technical questions and of coarse because we all share a common interest... skylines. BUT... when it comes to this certain individual i find it relatively hard to remain calm, collected, polite and accepting. he is not here to benefit from the vast amounts of knowledge of other forum members nor is he here to benefit us in ways such as sharing his knowledge/experience. he is here to simply entertain himself and seek acceptance from people who are not here to provide the type of help/attention he needs. Chronic lying and a general misconception of what is really happening sounds to me like an underlying mental issue. im not having a dig, i just dont want it to sound like i am being hard on this dickhead (for lack of a better word) for no reason. LOL end rant.
  3. generally people who are going to commit suicide do not tell strangers they are about to do it. i have a few friends who have chosen to commit suicide over the past coup[le of years, all of them young (20ish), and no one saw it coming. they certainly were not attention seeking like this person.
  4. maybe it was this civic lol ... but unlikely. it was most propably a bog stock shitter that still knocked off an overweighted, underpowered atmo 34
  5. yes you remove the headlight and fit the duct.... ill find a pic on google....
  6. i hope he has jumped. i hope the impact didnt kill him and he died slowly. he is a poster child for everything that is wrong in this world. some how i think he will be back with some shit house thread about how he nearly died and he now has bionic limbs or some far fetched bullshit.
  7. need a head light duct for an r33 gtst. series 2 if they are some how different. seen them on plenty of other track cars but i cant seem to find them. any ideas?? cheers, james
  8. car looks very clean mate. the colour suits well. 33's have the ability to look shithouse or very good. yours looks great
  9. yer sweet i wired them up with + in correct position but so hopefully no dramas. i wish they came with a patch loom like my haltech lol. i hate make looms. im too anal so ive spent 8 hours on it today ( im still going) cause im just not quiet happy with how it looks on top of the motor so i keep changing it lol. tape.... no tape. split tubing...... no split tubing. heat shrink..... no heat shrink. combination of all of the above...... nar looks shit. ill keep working away and post some high res pics of loom and loom on motor when im done. cheers guys
  10. so the grey wire is the positive wich is common between all injectors and the coloured wires are earths/negatives that are switched by the ecu?
  11. just looking at some wiring diagrams now and it looks to me like the wire that is common between the 6 injectors is the + and the individual wire to each injector is - (they work by the ecu switching off/on an earth) ???? sound right?
  12. so i am currently cutting the plugs off my factory injector loom and crimping/attaching new plugs for my id1000s. im a sparky by trade so have no problems make new connections but im confused on polarity. my id1000s are polarity sensitive and have + and - marked on the injector head at the corrosponding pins. in my factory loom i need to know if the common grey cable that is shared between all injectors the negative or positive??? is the single wire that is dedicated to each injector positive or negative? i just cant remember if the injectors work on switched the earth or switching the active.
  13. god they look shithouse dont they. and i suppose people are paying for this cosmetic change and think it looks tops at the end? sad sad people
  14. Lol actually I dont work for caterpillar lol. I work for a company called consolidated facilitations. Im an electrician by trade. My old man is a deisel fitter by trade and territory manager for caterpillar. Got a few mates who work in service for cat or in the mines doing break down work on cat gear so getting their products is not a hassel lets just say lol.
  15. i have had problems a couple of time with stainless steel binding. its a f**ker when it does. i dont bother using SS these days. i find high tensile bolt/stud in right size for what im doing and coat it with Caterpillar antiseize paste which is basically a copper paste. its not cheap buts its free for me and and amazing product. deals with high temperatures extreamly well. anything from caterpillar usually is great gear. on a side note, i use caterpillar gear oils in my box and diff in my track car.

yer also noticed the adds. shitfull isnt it. poor start from vetel also
  20. ticking noise will probably just be the injectors, perfectly normal. may even be noisy lifters which isnt uncommon also. With the keys NOT in ignition, take the positive lead off the battery pole. put a test light between the positive lead and the battery pole. if the test light illuminates then there is a current being drawn from the battery threw the test light. nothing should be drawing current when the car is off so if it is then something is leaking to earth. a dicky diode in the alternator will cause this sometimes in skylines. if you have an alarm or immobiliser installed though it will be drawing current when the car is off so remember that. could also just be a dicky battery or problem elsewhere
  21. Interesting views guys. I tend to agree that maybe the rate at which turbocharger technology has come forward may not have been effected by whether or not F1 was using turbochargers. Turbocharging is a huge part of the diesel world and i think that this area alone may well be more responsible for where we at, so to speak, with turbochargers. But in saying that, I welcome the use of turbocharging in F1. I do have a soft spot for anything turbod. Even prime movers (trucks) that only rev to let say less than 3000 rpm. its amazing how much power can be made with the use of turbos. And how efficently they do it. Increased displacement is great for torque ya da ya da... But at the same time, if you can have an engine thats only half the size but can still make equal power if it utilizes turbocharger technology then hell, why not turbo it. I would tend to agree about all cars being turbocharged too. I dont thing we want every idiot on the road to have the option of creating crazy power for the price of a boost tee. and maybe a few other cheap supporting mods. forced induction being driven by exhaust gas that would otherwise be wasted is an excellent option and i think allways will be. my 2c
