amusing thread lol talk of: lesbians eating books ta ta's (Which we still need a pic of) spending ridiculas amounts on a terrible engine wooly mamoths how hektic skidz require no skill now there are a few more things i feel should be re-itterated for administration purposes we require a ta ta shot... the average 'nats' spectator has an iq figure of 40 and has the interlectual ability of a gumboot... just put an ls1 in ur car and never never never mention clevos again. birds and clutch make me laugh and sometimes a bit of wee comes out. cup size?? any f**kwhit can destroy their own/their mates/their mums car doing skids. hill climbs and track days require brain cells.

got a cees short shift in my track car.... i now also have f**ked syncros in 3rd and 4th.. if i had my time again with the same box i probably would not have used one. felt great.. amazing even.. for the first 6 months. after that it got worse and worse to point where it now is un usable. im about the pull the box apart.

i run 18x9.5 +8 on the rear of my 33 gtst track car. now the catch.... i have a LOT of gaurd rolling lol. Not running much camber though. Using 265/40 tires and hasnt scrapped once that i know of. i would probably struggle to hear the scrape but i have been inspecting the tyres often for the tell tale cuts along the ouside edge/corner and so far havnt found a single mark on the tyres. there is no way 34gtt gaurds are gunna be less forgiving than 33gtst. they will most probably be the same or slightly wider yes??

will follow closly mate. looks to be an awsome build so far

gt autosounds ls1 r34 is one of the meanest things to grace our tracks. it does not make traction anywhere. and the funny thing is... weigh and rb30 bottom end and weigh an ls1 bottom end. and no, the bottom end in the ls1 isnt weak. im an rb fan yes. hell i have poored over 12 grand into the lastest engine in the 33 track car and its still no where near complete. but i do think often that im pooring money into an old heavy engine and i could of spent it better taking other avenues. next time ill go a blown ls2 lol. if the missus doesnt cut my nuts off for pooring every cent i earn into cars lol

Is the jgtc v8 powered r35 in a rear wheel or four wheel configuration. Im assuming four wheel still? So that engine in front of the hollinger box the v8sc series currently uses in rear wheel drive config. a conrol chassis and 4 door panneling as you mentioned. Sounds awsome to me. Cant see it happening but sounds great non the less lol
-
Right u are roy. I dont follow either series close enough to know exact ruling on what platforms are allowed but yes of coarse I didnt even think of the 4 door thing when thinking of 370z. I do remember reading about gtr using v8 in the jap series now come to think of it but I dont ever watch or follow it so my knowledge of the series isn't great. Maybe I just really wanted to see a turbo charged platform in there so I got a little excited lol. I miss the atcc days lol.

Coolant Leak From Pipe Under Intake - Whats It Called?
tm_r33 replied to damono's topic in General Maintenance
Thermostat housing is just a cast alloy bit of pipe. Nothing can really go wrong with it. Would certainly be very rare or even unheard of if one was to split or crack from normal use. It will just be where it seats against the block that the gasket is leaking or even where the hose slides over the housing that the hose is a bit perished and leaking. Does the hose on this pipe u speak of go straight to the radiator? and its farely larger diameter hose? if so then yes its the thermostat housing. -
Another manufacturer would be great. There has been plenty of rumurs about toyota and even recently I heard mitsubishi were considering designing a front engine rear drive platform that could posibly also be used in the v8sc. Bmw would be great too. A turbocharged version of the 370z would be awsome too if nissan came on board. I dont think the twin turbo four wheel drive r35 would be allowed but the rear drive 370z may be allowed. Of coarse in naturally aspirated form it would struggle against larger capacity v8s so a turbo charged version would be great to see out there.

Coolant Leak From Pipe Under Intake - Whats It Called?
tm_r33 replied to damono's topic in General Maintenance
You can buy a gasket for the thermostat housing but ive had plenty of luck using liquid gaskets (rtv silicon gasket glue). buy a genuine thermostat from nissan parts. Cheap repco ones can give poor results. They dont seat properly and they dont open and close as reliably as genuine. Thermostat maybe 50 bucks. gasket maker maybe 15 bucks. coolant... All depends on what u buy. A concerntrate from repco will do the trick. -
Coolant Leak From Pipe Under Intake - Whats It Called?
tm_r33 replied to damono's topic in General Maintenance
its the thermostat housing pipe. Order a new thermostat. Get genuine. Buy a tube of good quality rtv silicon gasket maker. Take hose off. Unbolt pipe. Change thermostat. (your doing this because you might as well while u have the pipe off). Clean old gasket from both block and pipe. Apply gasket glue to both surfaces. Allow 15 mins cure. Put pipe back in position. Bolt back up. Put hose back on. Would be a good idea to drain coolant before u start. once back together you can flush it brfore u refil with colant if you like. So probably but coolant also. -
Quicker Steering For Skylines?
tm_r33 replied to PM-R33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
harder steering rack bushes will help a little with the small delay between steering wheel inputs and actually when the front wheels start to move towards that angle.. and he means toe in not toe out mate -
Alternative To Engine Coolant
tm_r33 replied to Girorostar's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
lol well if my car even got close to those temps id be sorting out a better cooling system. i have found both my r33s have pretty good factory cooling systems (not talking about oil) no matter how hot the ambiant temp is or how long im being hard on them, the water temp is pretty stable. genuine thermostat, a regular cooling system flush and retaining clutch fan probably have a bit to do with that though. more horsepower and thermo fans and water instead of coolant will be the test in the near future when car is back on the track -
Alternative To Engine Coolant

im going to give de mineralised water and water wetter a go and see how it performs in the track car. -
Alternative To Engine Coolant
tm_r33 replied to Girorostar's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
do u use the water wetter and corrosion inhibitor together? like im asking if they are compatible together? full bottle of each in each full colling system fill up? i know that the redline water wetter has an inhibitor in it but prob not very much and and if your using de mineralised water i suppose it cant hurt to add the 200ml castrol inhibitor also? -

Selling Nismo 555Cc Injector
tm_r33 replied to EWKC's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Im just after some thin paper with 'nismo' printed on it. Do u still have the purchase receipt for the 2nd or maybe 3rd injector? 2 and 3 are my lucky numbers! how much for postage to bumfuc idaho? -
not at all arguing with you mate but out of interest, what are the reasons the finish on a cnc milled head may be poor if its not the machines limitations? i dont know a lot about cnc but it interests me a bit recently it sounds as if you may know a bit about it?

Kudo's To Tomei Diff Oil
tm_r33 replied to Marko R1's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
i use caterpillar 90w140 in my locker its designed for extreamly highly loaded truck/machinary differentials/gearboxs works a treat so far. i get 20 litre drums of it aand change it farely often -
lol ive been stooged by the tool bags at repco twice. If you ever ask for efi hose make sure u watch them cut it off the drum and read the drum. For some reason they seem to seem that low pressure carburetta hose is rated to 70 psi and will be fine on my track car. also its partly my fault for not looking at the hose until i got home. apart from myself. the only people who touch my car are my father and uncle (both motor mechanics and deisel fitters) i know both my tuner and engine builder well now and would not let them near the car if i didnt know how reputable they were.
-
my series 1 didnt have one. nor did it had the provision for one in the glass or a motor installed or a control at the steering wheel. but my series 2 does. was a factory option i think. i dont like the look of them so i pulled it off my series 2 the day i brought it lol
