Ok Opel Kadett C is the Gemini version. Opel Kadett E (Vauxhall Astra E) is front wheel drive version which later sold here is Australia as a Holden Astra from the early '90's till the current version. The "E" was efectivly the Camira of which we only got a Sedan and a Wagon... there was a 3 door hatch which was the basis for the rally car from '84 till '90 before they changed to the shape which was realsed in Aus as the Astra. In 1995 Deawoo was setup by GM Europe and the first production car was the 15i 3 door hatch (also called a Racer). This car is identical to the '80's car except for the 1500 engine. I had the original Camira Rally Car built by Rod Browning based on the 3 door rally version. This has been reshelled into the deawoo shell making up a replica... with all the extra running gear and body kit from europe. The original Group A Rally car from 1984 My car at Mt Cotton Hill Climb a month ago or so (I did 2 unofficial hand timed 54sec runs). My car now has the graphics upgraded to look exaxctly like the WRC car. If anyone wants to know more More info on my car can read about my build. Not really Nissan stuff... but I hope someone finds this interesting My motor sport life did start out with a Datsun 1600 boasting 145Hp @ wheels back in the early 90's antony

I ran my Opel Kadett GSi replica WRC car at Morgan Park on Saturday... and I took the oportunity to run the Stagea around the track for a blast. 1 00:01:28.59 33.2% 00:01:28.59 33.2% 1/12/2007 3:02:42 PM 2 00:02:59.07 67.0% 00:01:30.48 33.9% 1/12/2007 3:04:12 PM 3 00:04:27.20 100.0% 00:01:28.13 33.0% 1/12/2007 3:05:40 PM was fun and I actually got a high 1:26 but for sume reason I don't have the numbers... but my girl was doing 1:32's and as low as a 1:29. She has never seen a race track in her life... was impressed. Oh and if you are wondering I did 1:20's in the Opel not bad for a 2.0lt 8v N/A motor... had a few people in GTR's scratchin' there heads ant

Thanks... So does it actually move the light? If so wouldn't it work with or without xenons... could it still be setup... would be really handy for towing. ant

On the right side of the steering wheel I have a rotary switch with 0 to 4 (or 1 to 4) with a pic showing the headlight with up and down arrows. I assume this adjusts the head lights like an old Peugot I had once did. Last night I parked in front of the garage and adjusted the switch on low and high beam and nothing happened. I have gone through all the fuses under the dash (well the ones on the driverside)... are there other fuses else where? Ant

datzla, I had an alarm fitted but the guy had never done a stag before and although the job he did was great he didn't know how to disconnect the dimming interior light so I get an "open door alarm" if I arm the alarm before the 20 secs (or what ever it is). Is there an easy way to disconnect this feature... would simply taking the bulb out do it? antony

I was fitting my Aerpro antenna adaptor in the stag this morning when I noticed some c**t has ran a key (or something) down the side. maybe this is a compliment saying "man that is a hot car... well done". I guess I am lucky I didn't see it happen... someone would be trying to bail me out of the lockup this morning. ant

this stag sounds like it has some issues... unless this car is stupidly cheap priced maybe you should look for another one... everyday there seems to be more and more on the web for sale... and they are slowly getting cheaper. except that I got a very good S1 at a good price ($13K) but in hind sight if I know what I know now I would have bought A S2 Neo... you see them as low as $16K just a thought antony

I got a new alarm fitted last night and I just wanted to give a plug for the guys that installed it. Tbass 77 Telegraph Rd, Bald Hills 4036 QLD (Brisbane) 07 3261 9444 [email protected] Contact: Tim Tim fitted a Mongoose M60 in the Stagea. With Alarm/Double Immobiliser/Central Locking etc... he had never done a Stagea and seems the stag isnt as simple as a R33 Skyline but he had no problems. For anyone in Brisbane looking for a new alarm, sound system/DVD, hands free kits or anything remotley electronic he is the man. If you do contact him let him know you where recomended be me (Antony with the Perl White Stagea) and he most likley look after you. Would be worth just getting a quote atleast you may find he is resonable priced... and I can vouche for his work, very clean, precise and definetly take pride in his work. Antony

Stock S1 Autech Rims - What Are They Worth?
ant0ny replied to sleepynight's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
sleepynight, do you have a pic of them.. are they 16"? ant -
I must admit I maybe over 30 but I gues in this case it helps and I do have garrage parking (well under house, but lookup). What about if you have a good alarm with noise and imobileisers and proximity mines etc... would they give you cheaper deal? ant

I didn't got to GIO but I got a quote from Shannons.. $650/year with CAMS liscence discount for agreed value $15,000 (I paid 13k for mine). So if anyone else has CAMS Competition Liscence it is worth giving Shannons a call and see what saving you can get. A S2 Cams Licsence is only $85 a year. I insured my 1984 Works Opel Kadett GSi Rally Car for $499 agrred value $15000 and I automatically get the car back (what is left of it) if it is destroyed or damaged beyond repair... that is given back .. I don't have to buy it back. Of course it is only insured for road use and parked at home.... not on the track Antony

Chuckie, Good job ... got mine yesterday and fits great. Thanks for the quick service Antony
-
Yeah I spoke to him and I'd say he wouldn't have a clue... if he did he would add "NEO" in the add if he wanted to sell it quick. He has "...$15000 negotiable " in the add so Id say if it is genuine (he said to me on the phone it had 29.000kms) it would be a steal even with a 4spd auto and brown interior. Antony

yeah that's what got my attention as mine is a 25t X Four as well and I was looking for pics so I could see what the decals looked like (as mine has been debadged) there seems to be less of the 25t X Four's around. Antony
-
Someone might be interested... http://www.autotrader.com.au/iteminfo/adnu..._subs_Used+Cars_ Series II has 29,000kms and it is a NEO... looks pretty good for the price. Spoke to the guy and doesn't ssem to have a clue you could offer heaps less I'd say. Antony

Thanks... ...yeah I did manage to get FAST to work after getting a few copies from the net. I'll do a write up of where and how when I get mine to display in english properly. I came up with 25txf as Dave did which I was happy to find out... as I mentioned it doesn't have badges at all and I couldn't find a single feference to what it was till Dave did the FAST trick. So am I right in saying my machine should be badged 25t X Four? and having a look around ebay and car sales etc there doesn't seem to be may like mine... lots of RS Fours etc. Does anyone have a pic of a "25t X Four" badge/decal so I can get one made... or can you buy them? Also I noticed most stag's have a crome "Stagea" badge on the rear tailgate above the passanger tail lamp.. can these be bought? Antony
-
Dave, Yeah but in 1998 there is no listing for the Series I models and some of the 1997 where as late as August and mine being January '98 it would be most likly a late '97 model. On http://english.auto.vl.ru/catalog/nissan/stagea/1997_8/ it says "Modifications produced from 1997 (august)" so I assume this covers my stag as the next page quoting the '98 models say from August '98. Thanks again for looking into this. I got a copy of FAST and came up with the same 25txf. Antony
-
Dave, Thanks for looking at this for me... what is FAST? Would '25TXF' be 25t X FOUR as on this site http://english.auto.vl.ru/catalog/nissan/s...a/1997_8/21852/ Thanks again Antony

Was wondering about that... I saw the warning message but had no idea what it was for. My girlfriend sister will be here on the weekend and I know she speaks Japanese very well so I am hoping she can read the buttons and messages on the system. Thanks Ant
