  1. hey Anthony, Try swapping the sensors or just the cables around and see what happens... It may be that one of the sensors has lost some sensitivity ..I've got a couple of of stock RB25DET knock sensors sitting on the shelf ...you can borrow them for a while of you want...
  2. There is a few possibilities here, Basically your driveline absorbs power due to friction...start from flywheel you have gearset friction, unijoint friction, diff friction, cv joint friction, wheel bearing friction and friction between tyres and rollers... So for a GTR you have additional power loss from transfer case, front tailshaft, front diff, front drive shafts and front wheel bearings and tyres... so if you have the car in rear wheel drive mode on a rear wheel drive dyno, you only have power loss from the rear wheel drive train... if you have the car on a 4WD dyno and the car is in 2WD you should expect a higher power figure at the rear wheels than if the car is in 4WD simply because the extra driveline in 4WD mode consumes additional power just to turn it... But On the road in a GTR you cant ignore the loss from the front driveline even if you are in 2WD...The front wheels are turned by the road and the front driveline is still spinning and therefore consuming power...So the numbers you should always be interested in are power at all four wheels...looking at any power figures other this is false economy....
  3. NO!! its a big no no to resell alcohol unless you hold a liquor license....in all states of Australia... Maybe sell a used light globe (or some other nil value item) off your car and give away whatever grog you have left over to whoever buys you used light globe...

  11. Yep the pics are all good...just wondering if you got any good ones of my car?
  12. Hey hope you get it sorted....if you contact fair trading they start with a phone call to the vendor pointing out their obligations to you...alot of times this is all that is needed...if that doesn't work you register with fair trading for a hearing. I think it costs $30 to register..I did this once and the vendor didn't turn up so I won by default...anyway good luck with it.. Btw can you PM the name please...
  13. hey all, Yep just want to say a big 'Thank You' to all of the organisers for the day...it was a top day even if it was cold!!! It was my first time on a track and I learnt heaps and heaps and didn't even scratch the car...didn't even find the mud so maybe I wasn't trying hard enough Anyway only timed a couple of laps and got a 1:17.... btw did anyone pickup on my quiet screamer pipe?? (black GTST with silver AVS wheels in group 2)
  14. I will be going through Sydney about 7ish...I am leaving Newcastle hopefully by 5...I am picking up my +1 at Nth Strathfield....
  15. Well I just booked some Wakie accomodation for Friday night...Not sure if anyone else is braving it but I'll be there...getting there about 9pm
  16. yep understand completely....I just want to use 1 or 2 thermocouple readers which would weigh 200-300grams...I'll make a bracket that will withstand at least 4g peak load which means 1-2kg force won't break it...if it passes it passes, if it doesn't it doesn't and I'll put it in the glovebox...
  17. If it is bolted does it need to be bolted to car body or will bolting to the console do?? Also with the Wakie license I take it we get that from Wakefiled admin people first thing in the morning before scruitineering??
  18. Just another newbie question regarding the definition of loose items. Are items such as laptops, dataloggers and thermocouple readers etc allowed??.. I am assuming yes as long as they are strapped or tapped down and not free to move around the car??? I was going to make some brackets and use velcro straps, cable ties or gaffa tape???
  19. Hey I got another newbie question... I was planning on bringing down some tools and a jack and stands just in case...My jack is a steel 2.5 tonne beast though and weighs a tonne...is anyone else bringing that sort of gear down?? I am happy to be self sufficient but then again dont wnat to bring a tonne of gear down only to find I didn't need to... Btw I have a Consult interface and laptop if anybody else with stock ECU needs it... Also where do we put tools and all the stuff we remove from the car....
  20. Well I need accommodation for me +1 (two singles) and In know BOZ22N needs some as well...I was just gonna look on wotif but if there are others that need it, it would be good to stay at the one place rather than spreading out across Goulburn...I am happy to take the lead and nominate a place but I have never stayed in Goulburn before so I would be doin the organisation blindly...
  21. Just checked, its $60 a bed...in the villas...how crap are the villas is the question?? EDIT:Looks like they have kitchens etc in them...
  22. Awww I am scared of sheep although lamb for breakfast sounds good..... Any idea how much the cabins at the track are??? I've stayed in some shithouse places before...I'll cope...
  23. Hey all just curious as to what we do if it rains??? Are we still on??? I know my tyres are hoping for rain .....
  24. Yep still keen for some accomodation for Friday night....its a long long drive from Newcastle .....there is me and my support crew...(+1)
