  1. After reading a few topics and the GCG website the gt2860r-7 are equalent or closest to n1 turbos that came in the cars that you mentioned. My understanding is that the gt2860r-9 are equalent or closest to HKS GTSS.
  2. You can also look into putting steel wheels into your turbos, if its a tight budget and only looking at slight performance. I'm running 17psi on my ones and 287rwkw with supporting mods and it cost me $1100 with all the labour done myself, I bought the turbo cores of a member here with the wheels already balanced and ready to go and just added my exhaust housing and compressor housing of the old turbos. Not that hard if you have basic mechanical knowledge, I had no issues doing all this myself and saved alot on labour. But if budget allows, do what R31Nismoid recommended earlier Garrett -7, much better than my option and can make much more power as well as less work involved. Cheers
  3. Agreed, it should still have been done in a controlled and safe environment.
  4. That's what I thought straight away, that its set up purely for the story as 'hooning' is huge at the moment. LOL at your comment about Tracy and punching her, I say bring back Gordon Ramsay to fix her up.
  5. Lol, bloody media I knew there was something dodgy about this.
  6. Thank's for the link mate. What a dickhead, it would have been better if he stacked it down that hill into the trees, now that would have been Fully Sick! That word 'hoon' really pisses me off, just the way they say it and use it for everything thats car related, especially since its always related to imports and always a picture of a Skyline or Silvia on every article or video they do, they always stick it in there. I know for a fact that there are more Commodore and Falcon hoons around but they never really make it to the front pages. They should come past Princes HWY on Friday night, you'll be lucky to spot two or three imports around as they always get pulled over first and canarried so no one wants to risk it. I know this as I live very close to Princes HWY and hear roaring V8's all night going up and down racing and I have even seen this alot of times with my own eyes and no cops to be seen after midnight. For this reason I cant drive my car anywhere on weekend nights for an innocent cruise or even just to get something to eat or go out. So the question is why always an import on front covers and videos when there are dickheads on both sides, just go on youtube and type in burnout I bet you will get 100 links to Commodores and Falcons doing burnouts and stupid shit. But because of the media innocent import owners get harassed by police and epa'd and all the other rubbish, even if we are not doing anything wrong and have a spotless record. We cant enjoy our cars because they have a few videos like the one above of a dickhead doing stupid shit, and dont want to show anything else, perhaps something like this or
  7. Who did the recording, to me it looked like A Current Affair did it. It wouldnt suprise me if they actually organised all that shit and filmed it to hype up the hooning topic, which is hot at the moment and it just had to be an import to make our life even tougher.
  8. Yeh I saw it, what is it about? I didn't have volume at gym, just saw it on the big screen and had no idea what its about, first I thought it was Initial D or something untill I noticed the logo in the corner of the screen.

  10. Lol, no worries mate I was happy to help. The nismo clutch is pretty awesome from what I hear and easy to drive, so it should suit your needs. Hang in mate you are almost there and good luck with everything. Cheers
  11. You'll get a letter from EPA, where to go and what to do, it can take them a few weeks to send it out. Put the standard exhaust on, as I doubt you'll pass with your current one. Get a rwc from a workshop of your choice to clear your defect, it has nothing to do with EPA.
  12. If Nick is refering to the one he told me, you are in for a story to remember for a long time, one of the worst I have heard of personally. I also saw a certain r31 the other week at Micks when I went to book my car in, will be a mint car when finished. Nick, mate what's going on you just can't stop spending money lol.
  13. Huh, I was never told it was temporary, I knew there was another way of donig it by taking the tyre off but I was never offered that option. Few place I went to they never mentioned anything they would just fix it with the tyre on and charge me and that's it. It's good that I know now for the future.
  14. Lol, that's another option.
  15. Yes, you are right about this controller having issues, but if you remove the spring and ball out of it, it then acts like a normal t piece bleed valve with a high and low boost setting and it works and holds boost very well, it's the ball and spring in it that cause problems most of the time. It even says in the instructions to remove it if boost issues occur, it's there to bring the boost on quicker or some crap like that.

  17. Hey mate, I had a similar problem with one of my other cars with the same boost controller as you. Try taking the spring and ball out of your boost controller t piece and reset your ecu and try then. I'm pretty sure it's the boost controller causing all the problems and then causing your ecu to go into some sort of limp mode, it's worth a shot it solved my problem.
  18. I have had it done many times and not once have they taken it off, it has never leaked either. They have their way of doing it trust me, and it works.
  19. Hey Matt, The tyre won't have to come off to have a puncture repaired, only the wheel needs to be taken off and it's only a few minutes work to have it fixed. You can do it yourself with a puncture repair kit or take it to any decent tyre place and you won't have to worry about your wheels being damaged as it's only a minor repair job. Cheers
  20. And I use coppers as recommended to me and regap them myself.
  21. Bcpr 6's, no need to go colder heat range if it street driven and mildly tuned.
  22. I don't know if he fell for it or just a concidence, I was there for coffee with some mates and on the way out good old Pettet was there having some fun in the carpark, and what a lovely fells he is.
  23. Just saw a black r33 with sau stickers at knox carpark being done over by Pettet, I feel sorry for the guy. Pettet looked like he was enjoying it that's for sure.
