I had the same problem. The belt would slip, and the alternator would become extremely hot in a matter of seconds. When the belt didnt slip, it wasnt so hot. Why? FRICTION!!! The best slips, causing friction. Friction causes it to heat up, and in your case break. Now, if I know about the effects of friction, you guys should. I'm stupid!! Tighten up your alternator so the belt doesnt slip. That way, it should be fine. Good luck!

That is dodgy. I'm SOOO scared about f**king up someones side skirts. Even with a 2 post hoist you can avoid the side skirts. Like all these guys have said, go back and talk to him about it. Its his fault, so he should fix it.

That spark plug is sad. If I ever did that, my boss would KILL me!! This is one technique I want to try out, but have been too scared to yet. It would work for a lot of the cars that come into work. 1. Open fuel tank 2. Place rags into tank 3. Pour more fuel on to rags 4. Throw a match on to rags 5. RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Should work for a whole lot of things, but like I said, I'm too scared to use it in case it bites me on the arse

Put the nut back on a few threads, cos when it comes off, your going to have two black eyes. Grab a mallet and hit the wheel around the edge to knock it out. You'll know when it comes off cos the nut will stop it from flying off. Do a search to find a more detailed decription. Just make sure you wheels are straight, otherwise you'll have a crooked wheel, and thats not good. Trust me, I know . And make sure ur new boss kit has HICAS, otherwise you'll have no steering.
