I know someone with a cheap metal one, puts her glasses case over it so she can change gears!!

I've found the immoboliser, it was behind the kickpanel. And I have pulled it out, and now I need to wire it up. Which ones to I wire it up to? One says boot release, would it be that one? And would I ground it to the car, or the immoboliser? Relax, I make a better mechanic than electrition . Be a bad English Teacher as well...

Really? Did they even look at it? Sounds a bit dodgy to me! In the mean time, have you tried driving with two feet? That way you can rev the car up more before taking off ect to keep the revs up and prevent it from stalling. Or even shift manually?

Mate, its been 20 mins! Relax, someone will answer your question. The battery light always comes on when a car is about to stall. It has nothing todo with the battery, its just that the alternator isnt spinning fast enough, cos the revs are too low. Battery is fine, and you say that the car is starting fine, so I'd say the alternator would be fine as well. I dont think it would be the power steering, and possibly the idle switch. My mate had the same problem as this, and turns out the throttle body was open too much, letting in too much air, and stalling the engine. Might pay to have that one checked out. Otherwise try doing a diagnostic. Or convert it to manual I have always been under the impression that if you can stall an auto, you're talented... Good luck finding the problem though. Have you had a mechanic look at it?

I agree, it will cost a fortune getting someone to do it, and be a total nightmare. Just find a steering wheel that you like, or run with a SII without the airbag connected. Or just buy a SII?

Dont forget that the transmission, brakes, and diff are all different between the turbo and non-turbo. Just dropping in a turbo engine can put these parts under alot of stress. It is alot cheaper to buy a turbo car from the outset, but when you get paid like me ($6.80/h apprentice mechanic) converting your N/A to turbo is easier because it can be done is small instalments!

Good cruise, great turn out!! I bailed early when the cops came, didnt want a yellow on my first cruise. Didnt have a good night afterwards, got pulled over by the cops later on that night, then one was suspicious with the directions on my passenger seat!! Dunno why I bailed, mine was the most boring and stock car there!! Maybe next time it'll look better. Good to meet a lot of you guys, and well done on the organisation!!

Hey guys, I need to get to my immoboliser which is behind my kick panel, but I cant get the damn thing off. I have removed the plastic nut on the side wall and tried pulling, but it didnt work. There seems to be some sort of brace on the chassis. Is this correct? Or am I just seeing things? Any help would be appreciated. Rhys

What about driving on the foot path? Or is that another offence altogether?

Lol. My neighbours are cops, might just bring that up in a casual conversation... They wave as I drive past, but I think its more "hello" than "pull over, I want to give you a defect". I classify them as nice cops!

If the bonnet latch does move, but the bonnet doesnt open, I usually get a screw driver, put a rag around it to protect the paint, and lever it up. But this only works if the latch does, otherwise you'll just chip your paint. Good luck!

The more you cut out of your front bar, the more air can get to you intercooler. The more air, the more better it works. However, watch how much you cut out, because it can look hidious if you go too far. Also, cutting the bottom of you bar off is the stupidest thing you can do, because it will cause air to run underneith the cooler, instead of thru it. Air will always take the easiest way thru, just like electricity. Hope that helps, good luck with it. Have you looked int the R34 Gallery yet? You'd find quite a few in there I reckon
