  1. Don't worry, mine gets driven just as hard as yours does. And it'll be turbo'd soon as well, so yeh. I'll ask around with the Mechanics at work. We use Ryco at work, and never had a trouble with them.
  2. Thats generally what happens when you buy used!! We've got a Holden WB Statsman HDT at work, needs $2500 work done on it!! Thats the first one, the owner has another exactly the same needs the same amount of work. When we called the customer to let him know, his answer was... ... ... ... ... "...Is that all...?" Wish I had that much money!! Good luck getting it all fixed though
  3. Most good Panel Beaters should be able to, they'd have to take them on and off all the time. But like Adam said, you'de be better off doing it yourself. Much cheaper!
  4. I'd say take it to an auto elec. They should be able to fix it without much difficulty.
  5. Ok dude, what you do in your spare time NO ONE WANTS TO KNOW!! Please, keep it clean Dunno why people do this shit, we work our arses off for these cars, and they think they can ruin them. Just cos their commonwhore or 78 corrola doesnt start every 2nd time. I live in a decent area, but I always put my car in the garage and have the door shut, or park as far away from busy areas as I can. That way, there is a much less chance or some prick trying to ruin your car. However, there is nothing you can really do. If they want it, they'll take it. Ever seen Gone In 60 Seconds?
  6. Ahh, nope!! How can it work if it only has 1 wire?? WTF? Look around for something to for it to ground to. There has to be something. In theory anyway
  7. Does it still do it constantly? Most cars run rough after a while if they havent been used. If the problem is constant, then there is a problem. Try doing an ECU diagnostic on it, see what the problem is. I cant see how its the Coolant Temperature Sensor, that just controls the temperature gauge!! GeeTR, play nicely!!
  8. Cheers RB30 POWER, thats exactly what I need. I did a search but couldn't find anything. I thought Nissan parts were more expensive than that? Oh well, thanx anyway
  9. Any, how much money do you have? Go to the wreckers and have a look at the different sizes. My guess is there isnt, but I might be wrong. Still, if your handy with tools you could put anything anywhere. Look at Damion Lowe's VC Commodore CHU-88Y It has a WRX dash in it that looks like it has been there from the factory!
  10. Do a search, this is a very common topic. Its much cheaper to buy an aftermarket bodykit, otherwise I would be doing this as well
  11. Gotta agree with POLICE in both posts, the side skirts would annoy me so much, and the NISMO sticker is kinda gay, but other than that good work!! It looks really good. Wish I could paint like that!!
  12. When you say pops out, do u mean turns off? Or actually removes itself from the headlight in a bid for glorious freedom? Little shit... Have you had a look to see whether the bulb can actually come out? Dont have much experience with xenon bulbs, but I would have thought it was the same as a normal bulb?
  13. Kinda makes sense adam. I was always going to go out on an angle, cos its a wide street and very quiet, take up as much of the road as i need. A picture would be really helpful if u've got one. Now I just have to afford the coilovers...
  14. Yeah, i was thinking making myself some car ramps, but it'd be a little annoying to have to set them up everytime. Or just move house. There is a cheap alternative...
  15. Hey mate, if you find anyone, let me know. I'm interested in getting mine done as well when I get my new rims. But like adam-__- said, any good panel beater can do it. I just havent looked around yet
  16. Sounds like there is a loose wire some where. The door sensors work on a ground trigger, so when the curcuit is grounded, the lights turn on and so does the door open sensor. I'd say there is a loose wire somewhere that has been grounded causing the dash to think a door is open. I'm guessing this means that which ever sensor has current running though it will be the one that is faulty. Good luck!!
  17. Try degreasing around the valve, and then drive around a bit. Come back and look at the valve, and if there is oil leaking from it, thats where your problem is. As for the turbo, take your intake piping off to expose your compressor wheel. Put your finger on the middle bearing and move it around. If the wheel wobbles, even slightly, it can be hitting the side walls and be in need of a build up.
  18. oooh!! . And I would be a little annoyed if all my wheels fell off, but you do get over these things after a while!!
  19. you mean you want the leather to start cracking? Isnt that a BAD thing?
  20. Hey guys, My driveway has a bitch of a curb. My car looks like a 4WD at the moment, and it still only has a few cm of clearance when I'm pulling in. Add an aftermarket bodykit and lowered suspension, and I'll have to park on the street, something I really want to avoid. I've talked to a Suspension speciallist, and they told me that airbags will not fit on the skyline because there is not enough room up the front. My question is, what else can I use to raise the height of my car while still retaining a car that handles as if it was on rails? Thanks, Rhys
  21. Hey Immy, welcome to the site. These are covers, you have to install them all yourself. eBay sell products, not services. Zimmy, I'm interested but not yet. How often do these group buys come through? I might jump onto the next one, but can't on this one unfortunately.
  22. Go for it!! Torana-style flares look good on Toranas, but shit on skylines. However, once they are colour coded and blended in, they would look so good and tough. And are very purposeful. Its win win!!
  23. I'm thinking about how I can make my engine bar look good at the moment, so this thread is very helpful!! I've always wanted an engine bay like that of the famous Commodores; the VC "CHU-88Y", and VP "SENATOR" (Now BROCK 05). My personal favourite is SENATOR, but both are incredibly smooth and perfect. Making a Skyline look like that would be very difficult though
  24. Hey guys, just wondering what sort of oil filter I need for my RB25DE. I need to change the oil soon, and wanted to grab the right parts, obviously. Do Repco/Super Cheap/Auto One sell these parts? I am in WA so I don't have access to shops like Autobarn that I know of. I would buy one from Nissan, but I don't have time to go there, and they are usually too expencive. Also, do you guys know what sort of sump plug washer i need? Rhys
  25. Dont bother putting any oil into the filter before installing it. It does nothing except make a mess. However, you do need to place grease or oil around the seal to help it stick. Also, when you drain say 4.9L of 5L of oil, 100mL in the engine wont make much difference. Plus, do you guys change your sump plug washer everytime you change your oil? Otherwise it will leak. If you know exactly how much oil goes into the car, pour it all in. Then run the car until the oil light goes out, wait another 10 seconds then turn the car off and check the oil. There is no need for huge drives, just enough to pump oil around the engine. If the oil mark in a few millimetres from the "Full" position on the dipstick, leave it. The oil will drain back into the sump and fill that up. While you are draining the oil, go though and check the underside of your car as well. Steering boots, oil leaks, CV boots, fuel filter, that sort of thing. Once you have gone through and checked all that, then the oil will have finished draining. Don't bother about waiting for every tiny drop to come out, there will always be some left in there. Dont worry about contaminated oil too much though, that is what an oil filter is there for!! And finally, DO NOT FORGET TO TIGHTEN THE SUMP PLUG!!!! A hand tightend sump plug will not leak straigt away, but within a few kms it will fall out and its goodbye oil, goodbye motor, big, big trouble! That is the most important step of the whole procedure!
