  1. Will try pick it up tonight and comment on how it's behaves in the road. Staying at 35psi. Now I'm tempted to have a crack at running a 9 haha. 580kw is at 7000RPM. I'm getting 35psi by 5500RPM. Going to try and get an overlay on the 8374 dyno and 9180 dyno runs and share it.
  2. Jem dyno. Should see 140mph. That's what I told them. Dyno figures can be up down left right. My target was 140mph. Will be out to WSID when I can to run it.
  3. its got more in. Definitely does, BUT: - I've got a stock bottom end - I'm running 35psi on the fricken thing with ARP 2000 studs - AND I'm already past the recommended turbine speed. 580kw @ 35 psi will do me. Will put up dyno sheet in due time.
  4. 580kw @ 35 psi at 5,500RPM - 119,000 RPM turbine speed. hahahahahahaha f**k it im leaving it there....
  5. 558kw @ 33 psi - 117,000 RPM Going to try 35 psi for shits and giggles
  6. 515kw @ 30 psi 109,000 RPM turbine speed. Stock head not too happy and very close to 116,000 max speed Next stop 32psi
  7. 34psi was an educated guess based on how my head performed with the 8374. Speed sensor is hooked up this time so it'll be interesting to see the turbine speed at that boost level. Update - the car before mine was supposed to be a quick touch up but has turned into a big job so mine hasn't gone on. Rescheduled to tomorrow afternoon.
  8. Should be on the dyno this afternoon, with 34 psi up its ass.
  9. Crg manifold single gate but has the split pulse thing. I have a really old style tial 60mm gate which came with the t04z which was on the car. Probably isn't helping response but I cbf spending more money to go newer version.
  10. 30psi by 5000rpmish. Will have actual results next week
  11. 9180 is on New plugs and oil Comp test showest 150+ psi across all six Going to the tuner tomorrow/sat Will update next week on result
  12. yes. head gasket, studs, springs, valves etc etc have been upgraded. Basic stuff is done
  13. Will build when it pops. Probably rev to 8500. It has getrag behind it now with diff. No other changes to motor aside from turbo.
  14. Not really too sure yet. It is a stock bottom end after all so i doubt we'll max out the turbo. I'd like to cap it at 28psi but not sure how much turbine speed that would be. 575kw on JEMs dyno will do me. Should get me 140mph....or an big explosion... either way exciting times ahead!
  15. I ended up with 1.05 as it didnt look like the 1.45 would fit on current mani. Should be on this week with tune next week or so.
  16. V band + 1.45 + coating + some fitting kit. All added up. Anyway.... moving on lol
  17. im sure their customer service is great but rrp on borg warners is crazy. $4.7k for a 9180 :s
  18. Thread bump Update on my stock bottom end. made 480-500kw on JEM's dyno with a 8374 w 1.05 rear on e85 - Mild head work with small cams - stock crank, rods and pistons - stock oil pump and sump Ran 10.7 @ 134mph on 28ish psi in Sydney summary with 8374. Probably could go 136-138mph in the winter.... Am now inthe processing of upgrading to a 9180 w 1.05 rear. Depending on how brave I'm feeling I'll tell the tuner to cap the power at 570kw-600kw (on JEM's dyno). It should be good for 140-145 mph. Long live the stock bottom end. Lots of big power stock bottom ends floating around. Would love to hear updates on the setups, particularly with: - power on workshop dyno (lets be honest these do differ quite a lot) - turbo with rear housing and psi - basic engine mods - fuel Cheers
