  1. some more data BW 8374 on a built motor in a R32 GTR on semi's so MPH would probably have been higher on normal tyres on a perfect run he could have got a 10.0 or even a sub 10 but got booted after one run.... 60ft is fairly average... hasnt been back since
  2. i agree with this..... even though it is my own car.... on 500kw i should have gotten 140mph or very close to it.... Always had a suspicion JEM's dyno reads a little happy but I know Adam is a good tuner so I went to him for his capability rather than what his dyno will spit out. Next time around I'm going to make sure I'm getting 31psi on the night so we'll see its real MPH
  3. Power its probably closer to 460kw i'd say. its a 33 remember so its got at least 100kg on the 32s. Based on that MPH vs power thread I think some of the lighter 32s were acheving similar mph with less power. There's the weight and the fact it is a stock motor and box so i'm going easy on the revs and gear shifting. I could also screw another 5-6 psi into the thing if I'm feeling brave and pick up another 50-60kw. All things considered I think the mph kinda backs up the power. Certainly wasnt running 500kw on the night. The BW is just another new tech turbo at the end of the day. I think some people have talked them up to be the best thing in the world. The Precisions and the Garretts of the world seem to work better at the top end and are likely to be better suited to drag racing. The Borg Warner is epic on a street setup. Make meatier power in the middle
  4. First semi decent run.... On 29psi, have wound up boost controller to try and get 31psi back
  5. Westside Mechanics in Smithfield (y)
  6. true, starts to taper off around 7800 so 8000 seems to be the sweet spot
  7. cause not stock pump and not extended sump so more chance of motor going BANG at 8.5k
  8. Going drags tomorrow if all goes to plan.... Due to stock bottom end and oil pump I've been told to keep the revs below 8,000 so that'll hurt my mph and time See how we go
  9. mine made 500kw on JEM's dyno with just a set of HKS drop in 256 cams 8.7mm lift the problem with going bigger lift is the costs start to go up cause you need to mess around with the head even more i was actually very surprised the cams didnt 'hold back' power as I was originally told go with 272 cams JEM told me - lift makes power - duration moves the power up and down the rev range...
  10. This popped up on the Borg Warner facebook page. EFR 9180 making 960ps - on pump fuel in japan....
  11. wow 500kw at 18psi - must be comp'd up big time good stuff!
  12. planning on going on 28th Hopefully work or weather doesn't get in the way.

  16. All PMs replied. Please dont offer me $600.... I'm not going to take it.
  17. What range of mph would you expect to get from 500kw 138-140mph??
  18. If anyone is interested, I'm maybe going to the SAU cruise to the Gosford car museum on Sunday. Happy to take anyone for a spin so they can feel the setup for themselves.
  19. will need 100m cooler. the stockies have been known to hold power back over 400kw. 3.5" will do the job. Mine is 3.5". 4" only if you know you are going to aim for even bigger power in the future. My injectors are 2000cc. I was told that even 1600cc on e85 wont cut the mustard for 500kw. Makes it a little harder to fine tune but its not noticeable in day to day drive. thanks for mapping the dynos. interesting stuff!
  20. BTW my name is Umair not Usmair haha
  21. VTA no idea why it was done in 3rd.... but i doubt it will make much of a difference as Paul mentioned. Next dyno day that pops up I will throw it on to see how it comes on a different dyno. For sh!ts and giggles more than anything else.
