  1. Stock if you can get them cheap.... IE NOT from Nissan AUS
  2. Had a great arvo/night also. I too could have listen to Jim talk all day. Deffo be at the next one!
  3. Mods if you feel you need to move this thread then do so.... I wasn't 100% sure where to put it. Ok. My car sounds like a busted arse at the moment and looks like I have cracked a set of Tomei manifolds... for the second time. This set is less then 2000 kms old. Yes you hear of guys running stainless manifolds and some of them crack but not everyone has this issue... and not after 2000kms! I have a set of stockers but I dont want to put them on without atleast match porting them... preferably extrude honing them. Does anyone know where I can get this done.... Does someone like Racepace sell modified manifolds off the shelf? I know one thing... I'm not putting another set of stainless ones on....
  4. I had my stock coil packs start to break down over 20psi (370ish rwkw)....while using the Twin spark. Went and bought a new set of stock coils and all good. Personally in your case I would buy a new set of coils.... and if you still have issues then chuck a twin spark at it.
  5. Ha! Send it to wherever via my joint....it might have some intimate time with a baseball bat!
  6. Its going to be interesting the see just how bad the economy is when going for a 'spirited' drive. Will it be a case of the needle free falling without a parachute? Only time will tell!
  7. Thats crap man. Chuck it in the bin and get an old dinosaur PFC! No issues
  8. It might give that figure on the dyno but I can tell you now i reach fullboost on the road ALOT earlier then whatever it says on that sheet! It feels fine.... You have to remember a stock GTR makes what.... 180 or 200 kw at the wheels stock.... It might only feel like it has "not much" because 1000 RPM later your making almost double that! To drive around in traffic is no worries at all.
  9. Get your TPS sorted Steve?
  10. Another problem is the CAS. Both Steve and I have developed Crank Angle Sensor noise above a certain RPM.... So basically you cant be 100% accurate with the timing up in the rev range. I was warned about this before this tune and was hoping it wouldnt come up.... but it did. Now in all my years of scratching around on SAU and the pommie forum I have never seen a thread discussing this issue. Has anyone else come across this and if so why isnt it common knowledge!?!?! There is a fix... a balancer trigger... but thats expensive and to be honest I really cant be arsed........ thats what I said 2 years ago! haha
  11. Nah mate second. at 8000 RPM with 4.111 diffs (stock) 1st = 87 2nd = 138 3rd = 190 4th = stock (1:1) 5th is shorter at 290 but i stuck with the stock gear which goes to 310
  12. Ha. Spinning the rears at 140 in second (OS 5 speed) in the dry is hell fun! haha
  13. Yeah the midrange is what I was hoping to really gain out of this. As we all know GTR's have sweet FA under 4K anyway (unless you have a dirty 30.... which one day I will have haha). Ash there are times which I had the 2530's hanging off the side of mine, Esp with the OS 5 speed sometimes you just cant carry that much speed into slow corners..... this is where a 6 speed would really shine! Get her onto a fast flowing track like Eastern Creek and thats where it would love it! But lets be honest... I aint changing turbo's. Effort, time and money. 600 HP road car is enough for most people yeah? lol
  14. Yeah they have.... only had it a few months I think I was hoping around the mid 400's. As you can see the difference between 1.7 bar and 2.0 bar netted an extra 12 kw. Yavuz reckons its the exhaust housings and the exhaust choking it up a tad. Hmmmm i dunno Tomei Expreme.
  15. Was a little bummed at the final figure to be honest. Its funny... My last tune on the same dyno before the ARC cooler went on was 370 rwkw on 98... and this time I didnt crack the 350 mark. Bit strange.... They have changed dyno's though.. maybe that has something to do with it. Either way it feels 461946129649% better on E85. The throttle response is amazing. It almost knows what your going to do before you do anything with your right foot!
  16. Sorry for the late reply haha. I have a few graphs to show the difference between E85 and PULP 98. Same car, same dyno, same night, same tuner. PULP 98 VS E85 Same boost. As tuned PULP 98 VS E85 at 2 bar Basic spec list is: GT block Tomei 2.8 (9.0 compression) 270 @ 10.25 cams ported head HKS GT RS's HKS dumps and front pipes kakimoto full mega N1 cat back Power FC ID 2000 cc injectors, Nismo lift pump and 2 bosch 044's feeding the engine + all the bullcrap to support it. The midrange improvement on E85 is amazing! Once it comes on the tacho just flicks to the limiter. RWD is quite fun!
  17. My clutch hasnt got any issues... It held well with the 8000 RPM launch up the street the other night!
  18. What size is your rail? I have had these in both the stock rail which is 10.5 mm and a 11 mm sard rail. They are 11 mm. Im in Sydney.
  19. Hey guys. Just have a set of Sard 800 cc injectors for sale. Only reason I changed them over was because I went to E85 and threw a set of ID 2000's at my car. They have done about 15,000 kms and were cleaned about 3000 kms ago. No issues at all. Price $520 Delivered anywhere in AUS. Cheers
  20. ^^ in regards to the % duty on 1000's I sailed past 50 % duty of my ID 2000's VERY early on into the tuning process.... I didnt take much notice of what the Duty was at the end of it but personally I would be putting in the 2000's in.
  21. You MUST run a far bigger return from the surge tank to the main tank or your going to pressurise the whole system which is what happened to Pupsi. Imagine you have a stock pump as a lifter and 2 x 044s after your surge tank and your engine is at idle.......you have about 6 liters per minute of fuel from the main tank just flowing through the surge tank keeping it flooded, with that pump alone there may be "very slight" pressure in the surge tank even if the return is the same size as the feed. At idle your engine is consuming very little fuel so its not using much of the 6 liters per minute the lift pump is supplying and most of the fuel your 2 x 044s are flowing is comming straight back to the surge tank. Your return from the surge to the main tank is already being used to capacity to keep up with the 6 liters per minute the lift pump is supplying so how is the extra 10 liters or so per minute from the engine suppose to get back from the surge tank to the main tank without creating pressure? Robbie. That there is quoted from Robbie from RIPS off the pommie forum. Similar thread! I suppose a cheap way around this is throw another -6 fitting in the surge tank and run 2 return lines back to the main tank.
  22. I will do that very soon. It will be easier to see what an 044 pumps the my Nismo lift but they flow almost the same. I WILL return with the results
  23. Super dooper auto barn. Its just a crush washer. Nothing special. Bought the pump down to the shop and spilt fuel all over the counter... oops haha.
  24. It will be tuned on the United E85 so I would assume that would be 85%. But I now see what your saying. If you tune it on the "E70" and you get "E85" a few litres of normal fuel would make it a bit more even. But are you going to bust out the lab in the fuel station to work out what it is everytime you need a tank of juice?
