Logitech G25 Versus Fantech Porsche Turbo 911 Wheel
Scottydoo replied to Beer Baron's topic in PC & Games Discussion
I've used the G25 at a mates with a reclinable leather BMW seat cockpit setup on GT5 Prologue and its very good. He made it all up himself pretty cheap. I will be doing a similar setup for mine soon enough. Personally I think you can't go wrong either way you go if you can get them for a similar price. But if I had to choose i'd go the G25. USB sticks are worth peanuts so I wouldn't let that infuence you either. Out of interest how much are the prices you have seen for these? There's a huge variance in prices around. Umart have been the cheapest I have seen so far (for the G25) -
Yeah thats it Its got a small pic of the front at the bottom left & front with the doors up in the middle & a shot from the back bottom right. Plus all the stats under that. Love it, big framed poster

I've got the mag, apparently its going to be a rival to the F430 Scuderia and Gallardo LP560-4. Rumored to have over 400kw and be less than 1200kg. 0-100 in mid 3's. Supposed to be 'cheap' at around $500,000... Looks hot IMO but my favourite will always be the McLaren F1, hence the massive poster of a F1 LM on my wall

x3 P.S I think you look great as you are now too! Good luck

Obvioulsly it was the TG Australia guys who broke it, it couldn't bear to live with their attempt at humor on the show and decided self destruction was the only choice +1 for pics

Damo I received my Hoodies today for that mate I'll be keeping an eye out for whats happening with the new set to be made up
-
The fuel guage thing will just be the intank gauge. My rx7 did the same thing after we installed a new fuel pump because we bent the bracket a little. On topic, my r34 gets 450km from 50lt combined cycle. Mostly stock, exhaust/pod/safc/probfec B, 186rwkw. I'd try your O2 sensor

Hi Damo, I would like my original hoodie's sent first please. I'm sorry if I have been a bit short, not intentional it's just I've been trying to follow whats going on with these for so long now and its hard to know whats happening. So is everyone getting a blank hoodie sent out now too or is someone organinsing to have them printed/embroidered once they come in? Cheers

Fs: R34 Gtr Vspec Gt-ss Powered 11.0@127mph
Scottydoo replied to 7heavn's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
Wow, I Don't an R34 GTR could get much better than this car. Subtle yet still tough looks, the best colour, hot mags and massive power with potential 10sec 1/4's in it...Awesome I hope to have a GTR like this one day, too bad I don't have the cash yet, its a bargain! Good luck with selling it -
Has anyone else got their original 'crappy' hoodies? I PM'd Rad32 3 weeks ago i think it was and he said he was sending it out that week but i still have nothing and i'm not getting a reply from a PM? This is all taking wayyyy too long and i'm losing patience....

Considering A Skyline, All Help Appreciated!
Scottydoo replied to Manda2365's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
You don't really notice the HICAS when just cruising around normally, its only if your taking a corner quickly or something at the track for example, i don't like it but if it annoys you its easy and relatively cheap to remove anyway so don't stress too much about it when deciding on a car. -

R34 GT-T's range from around 15-16k for an auto 4 door, maybe cheaper, to high 20's for low K manual coupes. But you can find pretty clean and tidy R34's in the low $20k's now maybe even high teens with less than 100,000k's on them. I'm not too sure about R33 pricing because i've never really looked but they are from what i've seen a bargain. Whatever car you get just try to make sure it hasn't been thrashed, like any car i guess though. Parts are not problems for them, and not that expensive. They are a great car and I love mine, easy to drive, not too bad on fuel if stockish, quick enough, handle well. All things I never thought i'd admit! (I used to own nothing but rotaries haha) -
Car Tuned Today And Not To Happy
Scottydoo replied to super_s13's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
+1 for Power FC over Microtech, I've had a microtech in my old car and although it made the power it didn't drive particulaly well. My dad has a Power FC in his car and it drives smooth as a stocker. -
His car is not a GTR though... I doubt a GT-T would be geared to get anywhere near 302km/h let alone have the power to get there with only those mods
-
Have you seen this site? http://www.injectorsonline.com/ I got injectors for my rx7 off them, pretty cheap too
-
Mate sorry but i wouldn't have a clue who to recommend over in WA, have a look in the WA section and ask in there? I'd say to try the easy and cheap things first, if no luck with that i'm no mechanic but i'd go for coils then igniter pack. Only going off my personal experience but to be honest bud it may be a completely different problem. I doubt changing all your oils will fix your problem, but sure wouldn't hurt. If you end up going for coils and you are going to get a boost controller and SAFC as well be sure to get them all installed at once and save yourself having to pay for multiple tunes. Be aware also if you up the boost and power you may need to upgrade your fuel pump + maybe get a Fuel pressure regulator as well(as a start). Depends what your after powerwise though, and there's heaps of info on upgrades if you search on here.

So your saying every GTR tested against the 911 has had the tyres changed to racing compounds? I don't think so, if they did that why wouldn't they also change the 911's tyres? I think like Sandeep is right, its more likely that the GTR that porsche used still had the speed limiter on it as they couldn't get out of 3rd gear (as stated by Sewid) and thats why they couldn't match the time. To be honest I don't think it matters anyway
-
Hi Davey, The coils were the problem for me, but it may or may not be the problem for you. If you can afford some splitfire coils i'd recommend changing them anyway because from what i've read most guys with r34's end up changing them anyway. A profec B is an electronic boost controller, and an SAFC NEO is an Air Fuel controller not a new engine. Do a quick search on them and you'll find plenty of info around about them.

R34 Warning Lights - Hicas, Tcs Off, Slip, Engine Light
Scottydoo replied to davey_theman's topic in Western Australia
Mine was doing that and it was my coils. Got some Splitfire coils put it and its been fine ever since -
If they lied about the lap times then why does the GTR continue to spank the 911 turbo in all the Press run comparisons on other tracks? haha If it was actually 25seconds slower than the turbo around the ring then it should be beaten on any other track also and this doesn't seem to be happening does it? So yep sour grapes if you ask me. Maybe Porsche are trying to save a few sales from being lost to the GTR by putting a bit of doubt in the mind of potential customers?
-
Can you please post mine now, well on Monday.
-
+1 for that question Or do we have to wait for the new embroidery on the freebie blanks? Oh yeah and thanks Adrian + Damo & anyone else involved for sorting out the mess! Can whoever sorts out the new hoodies send a PM when the time comes because its hard for me to keep finding the threads on these things

I think you'll find that a stock R33 will make 184kw at the engine, not at the rear wheels. So 179rwkw is not too bad, don't be too dissapointed. It would be around 240kw ish at the engine
