Do Cops Delibrately Single Out Imports?
Mayuri Krab replied to GTR91's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I must have being lucky so far, in every day to day traveling I don't see much cop cars around the roads I use. I did get pulled over 3 times in a row though, this was during the 3 day holiday of easter, once in the middle of the freeway at midnight, once in the afternoon going to McDonald & once just about 500meters after leaving my house. Luckly I didn't get any fines or defects those 3 times, & the cops themselves didn't even check under the bonnet, they seem to be mainly focused on checking whether I had paid my road rego or not... But this was back when my car was pretty much dead stock, all it had was 18" wheels & a fart cannon that sounds softer than some of the riced civcs & excels I see driving around. Also on the topic of getting pulled over for not stopping at a stop sign, my dad got pulled over once for doing that (he was driving my mum's old VN commodore) & the cops just gave him a warning & let him off. EDIT: the lesson I learnt from my experience so far: where possible, I always use my mum's camry if I need to travel after 11pm. -
X2 MyStag260 you must be an awesome parent LOL

Man this brings back good old memories, the initial D anime series is what got me interested in the skylines in the 1st place. The 4 circle tail lights of that black R32 GT-R just stood out from all those other cars that had those ugly squarish lights . Too bad they only gave the R32 a minor role in the anime, where the dude who drove it sucks & keeps on crashing it (twice, I recall; once against the AE86, the other time against a EVO IV) The skyline returned in a R34 GTT & GT-R in stage 4, but those were only shown for a couple of episodes (in the case of the GT-T more like just a couple of screen shots...) EDIT: I'm gonna watch the entire series again, its somewhere on my 1TB external HDD...

Pretty much, usually I make sure the gear box changes at ~3 to 3.5k rpm. +1, also if I drive super granny then theres no sound at all.

Yeah that's true for me <puts hand up> The acceleration is a nice added bonus, but I have never boosted my car to its 2nd stage boost (7psi) as I have never revved it past 4,500rpm in normal day to day, point A to B driving. & that's all my car is used for, as a daily drive around Corolla.

I want to know this as well so according to this the Veryon with its 4 turbos are making a "fake" 1001hp? EDIT: turbo vs V8, its like if Japan & America whats to take over some island, the Japs will send in a bunch of Ninjas & assassinate all the island's locals & take over complete. While America will just nuke the place & then march in.

^ What he said. JC is about your only choice at this stage. Expect to pay about those amount for insurance for skyline when you on your Ps. EDIT: I'm paying ~$2k for full comp (b4 was ~$300 for basic 3rd Party).

How did flip in the first place, how fast where they going? The 2 driving should be jailed no questions asked. This is gonna give more crap for TT & ACA to write about...

They don't have the same engine. 34's have the Neo version of the engine. Which is newer & more powerful and have more torque down low. Nissian's spec says the R33's Rb25det has 187kw & 294Nm of torque, while the R34's Rb25det Neo approaches the Jap limit of 206kw & 343Nm of torque. If you have the $, always get the newer model, that is the R34.

You are not reporting the incident in the "right" way. ie you are not grabbing the copper's attention with your report thats why none of them bother to show up. Next time you see those guys/girls again with their falcodores doing burnouts & stuff, ring the cops up & say "There are some Asian guys in a bunch of riced up imports (mention the name Skyline some where...) hooning around & doing burn outs in & casusing excess noise in <insert location here>" Then the coppers will be there real quick! & when they arrive just tell them: "You just missed those guys, the asian guys with their imports just left, but since you guys are here can you impound those falcodore instead? " EDIT: typo

Right... soccer mums are the safest drivers in the world... tell that to all the soccer mums in 4x4s I see tail gating & speeding in school zones on a regular basis... If by HIGH PERFORMANCE STUFF you mean talking about doing reckless things on public roads & giving the police & media more reason to tough up the already ridculous hoon laws, then yeah, this isn't the forum for you. Where do I cast the conrod now?

Why must S2? Whats wrong with a S1 or S1.5?

Great way to impress 15yr old school girls hey? Wait is this a local high school or local primary school we are talking about? Smaller children might get scared & wet their pants! SOME ONE THINK ABOUT THE CHILDREN!!! I never did, don't see any point to it. Waste of good tires & the burning smell makes me feel sick

You don't have enough electricity to generate the required 1.21 jigawatts! I recommand a stage III soivet tesla generator upgrade.

So does that mean there's no 2nd stage boost for an auto? My auto car hits ~5psi fairly quickly with just a bit of lead foot from standstill. I have never fully floored it so I (never revved over 4,500 rpm) don't know if there is the 2nd stage boost or not, where it hits ~7psi.

Quick Question Regarding Turbo Blanket & Heatshield
Mayuri Krab replied to Mayuri Krab's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Quick update I went to the shop today to get my old exhuast back from them & I got my heat shield back as well. I have now put it on, looks all good now, no more rust bucket turbo in sight On a related topic, should I heat wrap the dump pipe as well? Currently I can't be f*cked doing it (too lazy , seeing how theres no plastic or electircal cables near by that are in danger of melting. I read from here that is done with heat wraps tape thingys, but they tend to smell alot initially... & some one even mentioned white smoke coming from the heat wraps. Which brings to my last thing that I would like to get some extra info on... currently my exhuast smells alot (its not petrol smell, I'm very familar with that smell, since I had a fuel line bursted b4 & the car pissed fuel all over the drive way... got a whole does of petorl smell back then ), I read from an old thread that this is caused by a layer of oil thats on the new exhuast & that it will burn initially until its all gone. Is that correct? Seems like the smell has gone down somewhat compared to when I 1st got the car, which is a good sign I guess. Thanks for all the help so far. -
Which road is this from?

Agreed, cutting your own balls off is nothing new, in ancient China all male servants who works in the forbidden city (empire's palace) are required to neuter themselves. But cutting your own penis?! WTF?!

WGMG 1) The fact that my windscreen squiters don't work properly, the 2 squirt things are aimed way off from the windscreen & is shooting water onto my roof instead 2) Also the rear one is piss weak, water struggles to get out. 3)That "new exhaust smell", got a brand new 3" turbo back, but the dam thing smells like something in my car is burning, when I 1st got the car back from the shop, while driving it back I had to stop a couple of times to make sure my car wasn't on fire. 4) Our crappy low download limit internet plans in general, I downloaded some internet movie/TV streaming programs that my auntie in China recommended, its great but its chewing up my download limit like an American car chewing on fuel... 5) My goldfish keeps on getting sick for no apparent reason, all the water parameters checks out ok (PH, Ammonia/Ammonium, Nitrite Nitrate, GH & KH) & the filter is running fine & getting a flow rate of ~10x the tank volume.
