  12. what do you mean their a maze of pipes running under the yard?
  13. that does help chris thanks but the problem with my place is that both sides of the house have quite a few large palm trees (that i want to get rid of anyway), both sides have a fence and a fair bit of concrete... its not the work thats the problem but the lay of the land. gonna have to pull some trees down first. that last image, are those flex pipes tied in to your downpipes? so who here is a tree lopper?
  14. yeh i put in a drain here which helped quite a bit but now its mainly around the front of the house (high ground) and the existing stormwater pipes have been concreted over (according to house plans) i do have an electric eel like this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/20mm-100mm-Dia-Electric-Plumbing-Sewage-Drain-Pipe-Cleaner-Machine-S-/270906035928?pt=AU_Building_Materials&hash=item3f13420ed8 however the cutting head on it is not... good enough
  15. images 1 and 2... ive already done that. it does drain away eventually
  16. yeh... im aethist so god probably would not want to hear from me lol the problem with my place is that im below the street (JUST) so all of my stormwater and sewerage go back down the block (1,200m2) and from what ive gathered most of my underground pipes are under concrete. half of the problem is that the concrete is not leveled (imo) correctly to move the water away from the house
  17. hi guys im wondering if any of you guys on here are plumbers. basically i want/need some work done and i cannot decide which way to go. below are some images that show my problem as you can see my drains cannot seem to cope with 10 minutes of rainfall and whoever built my house did a shit job with landscaping. currenlty im looking into french drains but am not toooooo sure about it. ill explain what i want done/are thinking about in much more detail when required. thanks adam
