    New Arrival

Congrats AJ! Glad to hear all is well and i'll catch up with you soon
  2. I agree with what has been posted...but i also agree they are getting much tougher on imports. I've owned my gtst for 7 years, and for the first 6 i was never pulled over. I even drove it between workshops in a very untidy state when it was in the build process, but never had any problems. However...this year alone, i have been pulled over 6 times. (4 if you don't count the two RBT's). And in those 4 times, twice I've had to open my bonnet and the other two times it was just for a chat and looksee. I don't think I have anything unroadworthy but it sucks being pulled over cause you have a headturner. Just be sensible and don't do anything stupid like airbrushing like i did hahaha
  3. here tis: http://oakleigh-monash-leader.whereilive.c...ots-for-monash/
  4. Anybody see the red R33 Skyline in the local leader this morning? Page 2, states: "A high-powered car is lifted off a fire hydrant in Oakleigh last week after crashing in Stradbroke St." The article then talks about hoon hotspots and statistics and stuff, but the picture of the skyline takes up most of the page as soon as you turn the cover. i'll have a quick search for the article online...(cause my scanner isn't working atm)
  5. Hey Mate, Post #53, half way down page 3. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Au....html&st=40 This is my setup, mdf, fibreglass, months of hard work, wouldn't change it for a second, i love it! Also I have heaps of pics of stages as well, let me know what you want to know. As for your battery question, i started to have lots of problems so if you keep reading down the thread you'll see information from me and doof about our larger and more suitable battery. Also, i even put in a kill switch to my equipment cause the car's a weekender and sometimes i dont drive it for a week or two, so to avoid the battery dying i did this:http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Op...35#entry4019235 Hope some of this helps, lemme know if you have any questions or want to see more pics of progress work. cheers, shanus
  6. can you please make that 2? a blue and a black perhaps they could be driving sleaves? one on each wrist or elbow or whateva? thanks bec
  7. would it be rude if i came after the meeting to grab a hoodie? i work tuesday nights to 8pm or so, which means if i rush out of here i could get there by 9 at the latest, maybe a little earlier. i want a few things actually, lost my stubbie holder too... would that be ok??
  8. upgrade i say - get an optima battery, as well as all the suggestions above i've put a kill switch in mine for all my equipment. You could easily put one in for the battery itself but then you'd have to reset your head unit and clock every time you jump back in. don't know if it'll help, but heres some optima and kill switch info on my setup: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Op...ug-t228221.html
  9. I still have these so I'm happy to pass them on for $25 the pair. They are sitting around in my way and would love to move them on to somebody that can find them useful. pm me
  10. wish i could make it but my boss is giving me the day off so i'm heading away early. have fun

  12. I had 6x9s in the rear of my R33 previously, they looked good and sounded great. I no longer need the speaker pods if you are interested let me know: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ra...19#entry4587019 or if you want it done for you like topic says then where are you located?
  13. 26/27 June is good for me -- the 6/7 wouldn't work, not only too soon but its the long weekend.
  14. quick thought for the morning ive just had - what if we tied this in with some car detailing stuff or people or our sponsors? i really dont have time and cbf cleaning my car for hours before a shoot, but pros could do it very quickly while the car in front of me was being shot?
  15. yeah i'll be in, why not! I haven't had any shots done since it was in the shows years ago and a few things have changed since then
  16. im interested, but if its brand new with case usually these things come with batteries and charges...what happened to them? can you get them before the sale? how much are they worth? where from? if its brand new does it have a warranty? sorry i really cbf finding this stuff out for myself but if you want a sale lemme know. cheers
  17. quick question re seats - and sorry I haven't read entire thread only the last little bit cause we're on the topic of seats sorta anyways: I've removed my rear seats years ago to replace with mdf/fibreglass/multimedia etc and spent a day on the phones chasing around requirements. Finally, the answer was that if i didn't change the metal/structure/parcelshelf or anything existing, then i didn't need an engineers certificate. People have told me i need to re-register but I never have and have been pulled over by cops up to 6 times already this year but nothing, nobody says anything. do i speak to vic roads before rego is due next time, or remain how is as it can be changed back and not permanent? has it got something to do with the seatbelts if they are removed or not? Thanks.
  18. Sorry toshirokato MTEC's are gone, so too are the tail lights. Everything else still up for grabs though, i cant believe nobody wants the speaker pods you can fit 6x9s in your car without modification and they look good too. make some offers if your interested in anything
  19. i've advertised my rear speaker pods in the for sale section for the last few days but no takers yet. so i thought i'd quickly post up here in the audio section that i got 6 x 9 rear speaker pods in fibreglass available if you check out the for sale other items section. it allowed me to install my 6x9s in my R33 without cutting up the parcel shelf cheers
  20. Sold, I'll PM you my mobile.
  21. Up for grabs are some items I no longer need or use and have been sitting around my garage. All items are in the south east of Melbourne, either with me in my car at Chadstone during business hours or at home in Wheelers Hill or Clayton after hours. Pick up is preferable! 6 x 9 Fibreglass Speaker Pods $40 for the pair Excellent condition and hardly used! I was able to fit 6 x 9 speakers in the back of my R33 on the parcel shelf without cutting metal underneath. Paid $130 new, no longer required as I have splits everywhere in my car now Quick Release Steering Wheel Boss Kit $40 Suits Boss Kit for most aftermarket steering wheels. Attach one side to your wheel, the other side to your boss kit and it releases by the push of a button. Its a great theft deterant, as well as helpful for cars with bucket style seats. I original purchased from ebay for $99, its in good condition but 1 screw missing which can be replaced simply. More info come have a look, cause I can't post ebay link due to forum rules. MTEC Globes for front headlights $10 A pair of Cosmos Blue White globes that i brought for my R33. They are the 150w H1 type. I brought a few different sets of these including white and cosmos blue white, but I'd prefer the white ones so don't need the cosmos blue white anymore and they've been sitting around for a while. I tested them once but since unused. Brand New DVD Player $30 I originally brought this for my everyday runaround car but never got to installing it before I got rid of the car. This has been unused and un opened as you can see by the pics. I dont know much about the system but I was thinking of installing it into my parents caravan but then found out they are going to get rid of their van. Multi use pretty simple no name brand cost me $130 a year ago. [attachm ent=222494:DVD_Player_3.JPG] Custom Made Clear LED Taillights $50 for the pair These were the biggest hit and most frequently asked about at all the autosalons Ive entered. They cost me over $200 in parts plus another couple of set of rear lights as I didn't know what I was doing and I hacked a few up. And insert pieces custom made as well as the outer lens in clear. All wiring housing comes with them and they currenty have red outer shell, but can be replaced with your cars color shell by 6 screws. A couple of the LEDs are slightly less bright red as they were originally, but can be swapped easily. I've been told if you don't have the red reflector it's illegal, so I put my rears back to standard and don't have a use for these anymore. Coustic Amplifyer $300 320 Watt 4 Channel Amp in excellent condition! I don't really want to sell this because it cost me over $400 new and it's hardly used so my price stays high sorry, hopefully noone wants it but i'd move on at 300 otherwise i'll wait for someobody's big present or a close friend etc to need one etc before it goes. -Just like my car, I know I should sell it due to my debts and renovations I wish to do at home, but don't think anybody will buy it for $25K - and wouldn't sell it for less so may as well keep it, hey. Thanks for looking Shane
  22. RWC and Rego info please?? I'm keen, but in Melbourne and want more info please. Any more pics to add? Perhaps pics of under the hood, condition of interior, whats going on with the missing grill at the front, is that all it is, what type of fmic and parts come with it, flaws, accident history etc... I'm not interested in a swap, i have 8K cash ready to go, and a one way plane ticket keen to drive it home. let me know. ta, Shane i've just noticed no numberplate, is that cause its not currently on the road? how much work is it going to take to get it going legally?
  23. sorry for the late reply: firstly, try this http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Wi...02#entry4135202 i've uploaded a couple of pics there. i've also included another pic i found of the guards in progress, and also some pics of freddy from topstage at work. Freddy's design ideas and creativity are amazing. i told him what i wanted, i showed him some pics of some idea cars, and he/we came out with a rough draft of what you see below. There was another final draft after this one that i signed off on and we started working with, but that's just an example for you. The guards I don't even remember getting done now, it was so long ago and there was so much work going on with my ride that i don't remember how long he took with them. I know the front guards were extremely quick, and he smoothed out the indicator lights seemlessly and waited for after painting to do the grill, but i'm sure you can work this out with him. As for the rear guards, this was a lot of work! the amount of hours of labour that went into them was crazy, but the end result is amazing. it's fibreglass over the metal shell, so i've strengthened my car up with strut bars front and rear and never once has any of the fibreglassing cracked. I guess some things did take some time, but with another daily car it never mattered so i didn't notice. The best thing about Topstage and Freddy is he is honest and helpful! I've had 3 front bars proir to this custom one and his quality is 100 times better than any previous bar. The costs involved were very competitive, as mentioned i tried 3 previous places and searched the net for days before deciding on topstage. if you wanna see my car at any time, or any specific questions please buzz me anytime. cheers, shane p.s. if your guards are too wide your wheel offset may look a little silly. i've got 4 sets of spacers, the fronts are on all the time but the rears i no longer use due to the tires rubbing because the car sits low. if you want the pair, we can work something out.
  24. hey munkey i've had topstage do my whole kit, guards and all. couldn't be happier with the work! but i dont have pics on this laptop i'm on currently. pm me tomorrow and remind me or i'll forget to come back here as i dont get on much anymore. cheers, shane
  25. thanks for that, nobody has ever given me a hard time about them, most people love them and everybody wanted to know where i got them etc! they are sitting around in my garage up for grabs - they cost me a s#!t load but i'll load 'em off for $50 bucks if anyone is interested. the guy that started this thread is gonna come check have a look hopefully over the easter weekend. Off topic, but btw i got fibreglass 6x9 speaker pods, & my quick release steering wheel boss kit to find a new home also
