  2. lean mixtures and detonation are ring lands worst enemy. a 100kw engine with detonation has more chance of cracking lands than a motor with 3 times the power running good AFR's & timing

  4. wasn't asking the difference between coppers & iridiums.....the suffix "IX" denotes iridium. I wanted to know why Cubes uses a different prefix when going colder in plugs. looking at the NGK site it makes me think they suit different models?!
  5. i think you're right.......... the equipment in those cars costs as much as the car itself
  6. i'd rather spray their heads, lol
  7. cheers for that so I'm currently running the iridiums BCPR6EIX-11 at .8mm......to run 7's, do I have to run BKR's or do they make BCP's.......what's the difference?

  11. haha thanks guys I think I've narrowed it down to the electronic ignition module (I'm hoping it's not a strained wire somewhere inside the frame) which is a Crane Fireball Dual Fire system. May have to come from the US + $AU = big $$.........I may temporarily run a Harley Ignition though FTL what's that quote from Carl?
  12. I'm running 6's in mine.....wondering if I should be running 7's instead now. I've heard some peeps go even colder to an 8 or 9 even, but I assumed they got more track time

  14. thanks for that Madbung.........holding something that shape for a long time would prove difficult though. Good news is that we cut it bit by bit with a 1 mm disc and a wet sponge underneath without lifting the paint. It's been rubbed back along the edge and painted again and now waiting for the clear so thanks for everyones imput
