what blows me away are all these new threads from wannabes informing us about what we should do and how we should either petition or harrass MP's & councils etc, yet they don't do anything themselves to get the ball rolling so we can either jump on the bandwagon or follow suit.........just alot of hot air dribble and a thread for thread's sake! Here we have a female living in another state that's more concerned about the motorsport scene in SA than we are........aforementioned post for an example. Well done Jess & keep up the good work
  2. It was definitely SHOTGUN Shane............a Ford XB Coupe Pro Stocker owned by Kevin and Greg Flaherty. Greg died almost 20 years ago and his missus used to frequent one of the pubs where I used to do security back in the day.
  3. A mate of mine had one many years ago, Leon Will.............Pete Hall used to work for him at Super Roo Spares. They are an Italian car with a mid mount Ford 351ci Windsor V8........craaaaazy stuff!!!
  4. normally 2 cars fit between the speaker posts the early birds could hog the whole space then move when latecomers arrive ideally, you get there early
  5. far out, 3 or 4 Detomaso Pantera's but only 1 R32 GTR..................figures
  6. yeah it would be no fun if everyone was scattered, even if it means everyone gets there 1 hr earlier
  7. lol Tangles, we're talking about parenting .........................not grand parenting
  8. welcome aboard fellas.....you didn't mess around with the avatar & sig straight up I noticed, nice choice
  9. yeah I wish I kept my R/T 6 Pack Hemi Pacer and restored it....very rare now. Paid $1700 for it when it was just 3 years old Customline 9" rear end, triple webers and bored out to take 327ci Chev Pistons. Hmmm, memories I even had a handicapped run against the old famous Shotgun (only the oldies would remember that wheel standing Ford) back in the day when you were allowed to run up against the Pro Stockers.
  10. good story Luke.........just remind me to check my odometer if I ever bring my car to you for repairs though
  11. i'm pretty sure those details were taken out of a public directory Kell
  12. very inaccurate way of checking fuel consumption guys cause if the gauge isn't reading correctly, you could still have 100km's left in the tank when the light comes on. Fill up & zero your counter, fill up again when your light comes on then make note of your odometer & litres used and divide one into the other.
  13. lol Stook..........you sure he's not a African American, gook, boong or slope?! might be why you've been on here for a year and only 4 posts..........could be something to do with the preferred vernacular
  14. me thinks that Andrew (Blue32) has it in the bag..........don't know anyone on here that would come close
  15. very nice find Andrew..........now I'm seriously jealous. That is definitely my dream ride at the moment.............wouldn't take too much persuasion to sell my small fleet and purchase an R8
  16. lol Tangles, you forgot to tell us what tyre pressures you're running
  17. I got married late and waited another 5 yrs to get financial cause my earlier thinking was that I didn't like the idea of spending all my money on having kids. Well I've done a full circle on that now and wouldn't swap them for the world........they are literally my life now and everything I own will be theirs one day anyway. You always find a way to meet the essentials.......sometimes requires some sacrifices, but never regrets
  18. yeah unfortunately EPIC = $$$...........fantastic if you get the turn out but too hard on the pockets of the very few that do attend otherwise. Recent fishing trip is a good example where the few that went had to cough up extra $$$ because of the poor commitment rate. Always harder to get a commitment from peeps when you have to ask them for money...........granted it was very cheap anyway. EDIT: That's why low key & BYO always works well cause peeps usually show up last minute anyway & even if they don't, it doesn't really affect the purse strings.
  19. EBC Redstuff have bevel edges straight from the pack
  20. lol, Luke :laughing-smiley-014: I think I get it.............ie. as opposed to the Mediterranean variety
  21. lol Adam, you should've kept quiet and had us all wondering who Steve was talking about..........Steve, relax bud, worse things out there for us to worry about. I like all Skylines but I feel a bit of vomit come to my mouth when they're over dressed & and turned into rice pudding...........Chad's is a good example of what clean & tuff should look like. Remember, less is more folks.........Japs knew what they were doing with the original design, why go & stuff it up?!
  22. yeah by the sounds of them its unlikely it was Total Control Security or State Security (both good mates of mine & do concerts) so they may have been a bunch of goons the promoters hired themselves, still with their 'L' plates, so to speak
  23. err, at this risk of coming across as another number cruncher for posts Steve..........+1
  24. yeah they have that thin compound on them that requires light to medium use initially before giving them the usual bed in process (from 100kph down to 15kph several times till hot then cool down and repeat if necessary) I haven't done that final process yet cause they were only put in 150 km ago but I think they may be ready for the final process now.........hope that fixes it. On another note, do they bite those rotors or what.....very unforgiving even on initial grab and wants to throw you thru the windscreen everytime, lol
  25. who did the security Ben?
