  1. na, I was thinking the guy that started a similar thread not long ago that had a so called cop (Hot Fuzz) respond to it
  2. not in the metro area me thinks
  3. have you been on here b4 under a different name (similar thread).........it'll come to me soon
  4. err yeah.....cars with engines + petrol + rego & ins = skateboard (yep, same) Skateboard Crash
  5. sorry bud but this thread is fatally doomed IBTL
  6. +1 Chris Hill from Albury
  7. lol, if only you knew the can of worms you've opened, you wouldn't have started this thread. and if you had any idea of the requirements and costs and procedures with public liability etc.........how long is a piece of string.
  8. lol Luke, imagine if one was organized and Kell had to come face to face with all of our bums
  9. lol, the pressure's on now
  10. Moseley Square was unusually packed that night with very hyper kids whose mum's gave them too much red cordial before going out. My kids felt a little intimidated with these little punks running past every couple of minutes and bumping into people.......I was just bracing myself, ready for one them to knock my kids over
  11. thanks guys
  12. oh yeah, it'll be filmed with a pin hole camera without your knowledge
  13. correct..........it's never been done by hand......feel free to start with a massive piece of paper
  14. yeah I thought of that Guy but it would take ages and I've got no way of supporting the fender for that long. I wonder how a tungsten bit on the die grinder would go?
  15. yeah I might even stick a wet sponge underneath as I'm cutting........any volunteers to hold the sponge
  16. if steve gets the triple X wax, I'll pay
  17. yeah touch up of the edge after I can handle cause it'll be in the black area.......as long as the heat doesn't lift the paint further into the airbrush area I reckon I should be OK..........I hope
  18. as with anything guys, there's a fine line between a cop making a threat or someone being a caped crusader with their dictaphone........it would have to be a definite threat IMO........and you won't get a definitive on what a threat is. IMO, tape it and get a lawyer to listen to it 1st before making a complaint........like I said before, whether it's admissible in court is another story
  19. yeah thanks for the info guys. I was actually planning on going at it with a 1mm disc and wet rag dipped in iced water every few seconds????????
  20. yeah unfortunately I don't think there's a pair of tinsnips on the planet that will cut through 12 gauge steel..........nibbler would struggle as well
  21. Just need some advice on cutting about 10mm off the bottom of my bike's fender without destroying the paint with excessive heat. It constantly bottoms out going down kerbs and needs a trim.......where it's marked roughly with a silver marker. I originally used a small angle grinder with a 1mm disc to cut & shape the fender then a dremmel to clean it up..........but that was before paint. The black will be easy to fix, but I don't want heat to lift the airbrushed stuff.
  22. yes, very nice Damo...........notice what he said about good 32 GTR's starting to go up in price at the bottom of the page.....I think the Iron Chef has said something similar in the past. What does it say in a nutshell?
  23. under the telecommunication's act nobody, not even a cop can tap a phone without special warrants (even if the person recording is involved in the conversation). However, if you are involved in the conversation, and all parties are present, and you feel you are threatened or in fear for your life, you will not get into trouble by using a recording device, with or without permission of all concerned. This info may be useful for the cop's superiors if a threat did in fact take place but admissibility in court is a whole different ball game.
  24. yeah I agree. There are some cops out there that don't let the badge go to their heads and those that do unfortunately. It sounds like you got the latter that became somewhat embarrassed once he realized he had the wrong person but wasn't prepared to take a step back due to pride. At the end of the day, right or wrong, he's the one calling the shots so play it cool........even level headed cops hate smart arses and can turn on you if provoked. A couple of cop mates of mine love cars and bikes but will turn nasty if you're a smart arse................and I don't blame them!
