  1. Its interesting that other states wont go down Rann's road even now that he has set the stage......I'm guessing they're scared of the ramifications. I'm pretty certain the groups I mentioned (don't know about the Longriders yet) would be exempt from the "Anti Afilliation" laws but where do you draw the line between an outlaw in one of the exempt clubs and an outlaw club, and furthermore how the hell are they going to enforce these laws. If I get pulled over for associating with any of these exempt guys who turns out to be an outlaw, and I state that I wasn't aware of his history, what can they do, how do I know if he has a shady past?! Although I'm sure Rann means well in cleaning up the state, he has unfortunately set the stage for outlaw clubs to settle their differences (even if only temporarily) and join forces financially to fight this in the High Courts......do you know how much drug & gun money they can put together, enough to drain the states coffers (tax payers money). On the other hand, spokes people and lawyers for the government have said it would be pointless fighting these new laws in court because they are water tight....me thinks they are trying to bluff the bikers because they know they would run out of our tax payers money before they do!!
  2. couldn't tell you steve, sorry. It's one of the other clubs that have invited us
  3. These new anti afilliation laws will be interesting as far as enforcing them. I haven't read the fine print yet but I did get pulled over by avatar near Darlington recently to see if & who I was associated with. I'm wondering whether dealing with an outlaw biker through his legitimate bike business for parts etc is allowed? Or whether socializing with clubs that aren't necessarily branded as outlaw clubs like the Long Riders, Vietnam Vets, Ulysses & CMA (Christian Motorcycles Association) will be tolerated? My mate & I have been invited to one of their clubrooms next Friday night & we're actually contemplating it, moreso out of curiosity.
  4. Ha, ha, thanks Cubes, you've enlightened me and I'll never ask dumb questions again
  5. Thats a Gold kodak moment

  7. Pauline Hanson......Please explain I know I'm ignorant and uneducated, but I need some clarification about this "Wasteland" type interest in this crap!!!
  8. Don't blame you Deano but its a matter of just being picky which ones you go on. I was originally contemplating this one but got turned off it last minute. Hope the guy with the 180 has paid up his insurance because it sounds like he'll be held 100% accountable.
  9. Thanks Kahli, I wouldn't mind checking out some pics or video from that night sometime

    Give Away

Dave....go to bed or you're gonna have one stinking headache today..... or did you just get up early with the sparrows?!
  11. Thought I could smell a rat right from your first post with the unsubstantiated allegations about the owner of ns.com who hasn't even been convicted of anything.....a real cop wouldn't have done that. It's amazing how a little bit of innocent fun can go out the window and get you in the shit though.......you confirmed you were a hoax when you disappeared so soon after a certain question.
  12. I wouldn't mind a 32GTR either. If I could find an immaculate one, I would consider a swap with mine and some cash obviously.
  13. Yes, yes it is a battery....but probably bigger than your car. Got your PM Mark (Jenkies) thanks for the kind words bud and all the love from a couple others
  14. In that case I think you're very wise Flick........get the house out of the way first and one day you maybe driving an R35

    Give Away

ayyy, lol....what makes you think I'd lend it to you anyway.........just jokes, what's mine is yours brother
  18. Yeah I had a similar situation with the bike. For the 1st 10 months they would drive behind me for a km or so then peel off but in the 11 mth I got pulled over 3 times in a fortnight. I explained that I have engineers papers but its too much to carry with me on a bike all the time. I didn't get defected but he was correct in saying that there is nothing to stop me from further mods that are not included in the engineers report
  19. Oh, oh....spill it Flick......is there something you need to announce Luke.....we have ways of making you talk!!!
  20. You are very close to nailing it Ben. There are 3 possible scenarios here: 1. You're not a cop and therefore taking a big risk by impersonating one....Federal Police take that business very seriously. 2. You are a cop and are using the handle SAPOL without any written authorization because by using that name you are inadvertently representing this states police force, like it or not. 3. You do have written authorization and therefore this is part of a task force, only problem is, you are not very smart and quick to generalize and post on Kell's thread rather than initiate one yourself and introducing yourself in the correct manner which brings me back to point "1".
  21. yeah, only prob is that Aust Design Rule applies in QLD to. Having a Mod plate will at least stop constant visits to Regency for a mod that is legal but they have the same rules as we do.
  22. Thanks Craig, got your PM. This has indeed become an intersting thread. I'd like to welcome any Police Officer's comments and how we could work together to possibly change your opinion in generalizing about import drivers. But please keep in mind (and this doesn't necessarily apply to you) that some of us could also be ex job and will not tolerate anyone trying to impersonate one, with details subsequently passed on to the FEDS.
  23. May I also state that impersonating a sworn officer or even allowing a member of the public to be mislead into thinking that you are a police officer is a federal offence........but you would already know that and therefore having nothing to fear. What station are you based at?
  24. Thanks for posting, if in fact you are who you say you are, but its all too easy to throw all import drivers in the same basket when it's generally only a minority that are irresponsible on the road..... a good example was the large cruise with up to 1000 imports at Castle Plaza & West Lakes recently with very little trouble. You'll be quite surprised at the various mix of occupations & drivers of imports (ie anyone from a doctor or teacher to an investigator) and that are purely car enthusiasts. I see reularly on the news when there has been a police car chase that involves an import as apposed to a Ford or Commodore in a similar situation and the focus is alot different, ie only as recent as the other day on King William Street......I think the drift scene may have contributed to that somewhat but the point is, there are less enthusiastic car owners out there in cheap Holden & Ford V8's that attempt to emulate on the road what they see in the drift scene and put lives at risk as well. We just ask that you keep and open mind and not tarnish us all with the same brush.......there are hoons in every class of motor vehicle and the focus needs to be on the individual.
  25. Hang on....is that little skunk coming, Dan (gzilla) or whatever he calls himself now.......maybe it's "crooked4" or something similar.....anyway, I owe him a headlock.
