Well the tranny just gave up today on the Falcon work car so dropped it off to the good guys at All States Transmissions in Edwardstown. Thought it may have needed a service and a new solenoid but found a handfull of shavings from the clutches in the pan. Without a tranny cooler and towing a caravan, I think she cooked..........$2K for a c/o tranny. I suppose someone out there is going to tell me that I could've saved $500 elsewhere......then you'll see a grown man cry!

A leak from an intercooler pipe will cause it to run rough and very rich......is it belting out black smoke?

If his factory cold start on his PFC has been tampered with, I'm assuming that a reinitialize and start over again would bring all that back to standard again?

Hey Dave, try Edwardstown Powder Coaters 9 Lagunta Ave.....got some bike stuff done there and turned out pretty good, prices were very reasonable too.

May not be a leak, common thing is a vacuum lock which falsely indicates a full radiator on initial fill. I try to measure (approx) the amount that I drain and the amount that goes back in......if I only get 1/2 the amount back in it's usually a vacuum lock.

Hey Ben, something doesn't sound right there buddy. I've got mine insured with Shannons for almost 3 times that amount and only paying approx $1300 a year?! Are you on a Rating 1? I wonder if its because I also have the bike insured with them?

Hey Cara, like Cubes said get it looked at ASAP, there's a good reason why plugs melt and in your case I'm guessing it's either way too lean or the NOS that you ran.

Get Nolan to take extra pics of the car's interior & exterior (ie every panel) then if you still like it, get State Roads to do a Full Inspection on it before flying up there. Get him to throw delivery of the car to Adelaide in the price, he's pretty easy going.......save you a fortune in petrol driving it back & flying up there. I knew exactly what I wanted when looking for a car so as long as the full inspection (which includes paint thickness) goes OK, I didn't need to fly there just for a test drive. I ended up finding a better V-Spec in Sydney which I did end up driving back though.

Yeah I've dealt with Nolan Hall from Auto Terminal who's a very nice guy and will spend alot of time with you. Just get State Roads to do a full check of the car before buying because sometimes they can slightly exaggerate the actual condition of the car.
