  1. Good point too Chad.....and its only gonna get harder, so start saving now!
  2. yeah at the end of the day, its all relative...............if you're only using 10 litres of fuel a week, the difference between $1.00 per litre & $1.50 per litre is a Big Mac. Well said 'GTR-32U' RENT, Hmmm.........that reminds me
  3. Hey Madaz & Nightcrawler, are you guys coming to this? And are you definitely bringing your hotplate Dohmar?
  4. Yeah, no need to go thru that guy. He only has 74 posts in 1 year and now wants $295 + freight. You can get it yourself for that price anytime off Ebay. There's also another good one that allows you to discreetly dial into the cabin and hear what the thieves are saying. Identical to the Group Buy GPS with Audio Monitor
  5. yeah I'm not knocking GPS modules because we use them to track employee's vehicles. Only prob is that sticking them under dashes or seats restricts the signal and on very overcast days they keep dropping out. The idea is to get to a console ASAP and track it live or else make sure that it can log the data for download later. 2 ways of tracking is either by distance or by time, we use both.........ie, ping every 50 metres whilst mobile then every 3 to 4 minutes whilst stationary. The idea with the Telstra pre-paid mobile phone is obviously the cheapest and easiest to install and cops have used this method for serious felonies but I don't know how you would go with Telstra pinging it for you.....probably would if you had a $1 mill Ferari or Lambo.
  6. As long as its not a GTR surrounded by Falcodores As long as you find it before it goes in a shed.......then GPS is useless. The old $20 Telstra Pre-Paid mobile phone hidden & hard wired to constantly charge and put on 'silent' is the best way to track your car via Telstra.
  7. steve, thats mad......I'm ordering one. Freight is $14 and $6 for every additional one.........who wants one?
  8. see what you can find out steve....I've already spent a fortune on the car and don't feel like getting shafted by some of these overpriced shops out there. I already have a new clutch from Luke ENR34 cause I knew it wasn't going to last very long with the extra power now. Probably discussing this on the wrong thread though.
  9. Make that 3!!! Group Install me thinks. Who we gonna get to do the changeover for us at a reasonable cost?
  10. Bit biased sorry.....pushing my own wagon here!
  11. too true....if you can find them and serve them and even then you're not guaranteed they're going to show up to any hearing. You'll be surprised how many are of "no fixed address".
  12. Correct.....do a bit of spying on the guy and his girl & see if they have any assets worth grabbing. You'll be amazed how many outstanding traffic offences have not been paid and never will be and nothing will ever happen to them.......they have no money, they don't show up for court or community service and jails are way too full for anyone doing 10 km over the speed limit. They lose their licence by post but still drive because they "apparently" never received anything in the mail....rarely do cops knock on their door unless in was "speed dangerous" or a similar offence and even if they do knock on their door, they never answer so cops give up eventually for minor stuff.
  13. ha, ha.......I already scare little kids now without a mask
  14. lol......no need for name calling Deano
  15. yeah, he sure does like meeting new peeps...........we're getting him initiated into the Gypsy Jokers next Friday night then he'll have even more friends!
  16. Ben unless you're planning on revving the thing alot more than it was designed, go with the stock springs. Shimming is never a good idea and is usually a cheap way out of avoiding valve float at extremely high rpm. We used to see boy racers either shim the crap out of their springs and end up breaking overhead gear due to binding or others that would use double & triple springs which would end up pounding weltite inserts deep into alloy head chambers. If you are seeking extremely high rpm though, you'll also need to think of upgrades on your internals to be able to cope. Stock springs would be fine if you're only going an extra 1000rpm or so.
  17. Hmmmm.......you might be onto something there Stevie Boy
  18. Try one of these sunshine
  19. Would he get a V-Spec for that sort of money though, and is choice of colour still a contributing factor these days to the amount he pays?
  20. Completely understand your predicament Andy. Goodluck with the hunt.
  21. Definitely will make that power. Here's mine with Garrett Gt2860r's, upgraded fuel, PFC & zorst......stock internals, stock cams, stock manifolds. With a really crappy tune:
  22. you got me very curious there Steve.....spill it!
  23. You won't let up on that low $30K saga will you Andy. If in the next 6 mths you can find a V-Spec for that sort of money landed and complied, I guarantee you it will be a total lemon ready for the wreckers with either excessive rust or filled with bog the size of your fist due to a bad prang. I remember telling you a couple of Fridays ago in Rundle St that spending the extra $10 to $15K up front will save you spending that much after you buy it because it would still be a lemon with high kms if you spent the cash later.
  24. Who's seen this Camry around town with green flames down the side
