This is a pretty interesting subject so I'll just add another thing. You'll be surprised how easy it is for someone these days to get money out of you. If you slander a business and their sales happen to go down as a consequence or on the other hand if you slander a small operator and he decides to stop working due to stress, they can file against you in the Adelaide or Elizabeth Magistrates Court for up to $5000 and serve you the documents personally without it costing them a cent because they wont necessarily need a lawyer for that amount and you don't need to be licenced these days to be a Process Server, anyone can serve you a summons. Food for thought........

Random flaming of a business is slander and against forum rules whether we agree with it or not. I actually agree with you guys about important info being passed on but it has to be accurate and substantiated or else inoccent businesses and people can suffer from it and any loss they suffer in their hip pocket can result in a compensation lawsuit. Magistrates are overcrowded with this stuff everyday.

compliance is complaince, anywhere in Aust (ADR) it either has been complianced or it hasn't, just read the docs and if its still confusing, ask Regency what docs are required for compliance

Read all of the post mate, the seller is prepared to give him a fair whack off the sale price so just ring Regency first and go with what they say.

I'm no expert by any means but speaking from my recent experience with Sturt......if the seller can definitely prove compliance has been given (ie all the necessary documentation) and you are prepared to address the wheel & exh situation, then there's no reason why you couldn't get it through for rego in SA. The fact that it has never had Aussie rego before may be an issue as to whether you're allowed to take it to Sturt or if it has to go to Regency. Ring Regency tomorrow and ask if a complianced import that's never had rego before can be taken to Sturt for ID inspection or whether it requires a more intensive inspection at Regency. Nick (whiplash) on this forum would be the expert in regards to this matter.
